  1. I use Sonic MyDVD v. 6.0.2, which is also contained in Sonic RecordNow! Deluxe v. 7.0. Zero learning curve. Much easier to understand and use, for this specific application, than Nero 6 or 7, both of which I have. I created a DVD with the four Wallace & Gromit short subjects 1 minute after installing the software. (Burning the DVD took ~ 45 minutes.) You can design and create custom menus, or choose from templates.

I have to agree with you lomatopo about it being the easiest for his specific application. I've used Sonic MyDVD to make over a hundred DVDs. I only recently switched to Nero Vision 7 and just prefer the larger feature set and flexibility, but not as easy to use as Sonic. So to the OP I change my recommendation due to the fact you don't want to have to fiddle with the program.

The only problem I had with Sonic is that when I play the DVD in my standalone player, fast moving scenes (such as fast moving car moving left to right) jump, that is they have a slight hesitation about once a second. Have you seen that problem?

Thanks guys I shall see if I can get both and try them out, have you heard of speed dvd creator?

I have this but find it wans to convert the same number of frames whether its a 300mb clip or 600mb clip.

Any light on why this happens?

  2. I personally like Nero Vision (Version 7 Premium) and can probably find a copy at your favorite 'outlet'. It is very complete. You can add your clips into the program and then have it automatically create Chapters based on each clip or manually create the chapters. It will then convert the .avi clips, chapter it and produce the DVD files or write directly to DVD writer. Quite easy and reasonably fast.

    Is it self explanitary?

  3. Hi all

    I hope you can hope?

I have a number of .avi files from a certian drama series and would love to be able to convert them so I can watch them on my dvd player and have a basic menu at the begning so I could choose which episode to watch.

I know I can hook my note book up to my tv which I have done and this setup is great, but I'd like to be able to give these dvd's to my father to watch!

If anyone knows of any programes free or not and could give me a description on how to do it I would be very gratefull!!!!!

    THANKS

    Ash :o

  4. I've tried MBK, Pantip and Silom road but can't find UFC DVD's anywhere. I thought I had seen them before on Silom and some guy selling DVD's told me he doesn't sell them anymore because few people bought them.

So where can these DVD's be found? Alternatively, anybody know of a good download site that might have UFC?

I often watch UFC on UBC on Thursday night and really enjoy it, amazingly my wife even likes it too.

You could try using LImewire or try a site called torrentspy You need touse bitlord or the like to download. I have just searched and the top 2 results on a search of ufc is just what your looking for.

Hope you got a faster connection than my dial up LOL

    Chok Dee :o

  6. Ricky Hatton hammered Carlos Mausser in 9 rounds to retain his IBF lightweight title and add the WBA title to his collection. He got cut over both eyes though and will need 6 months out to heal. Shame but I reckon a fight with Arturo Gatti will happen in August with a superfight between Hatton and Cotto happening in November.

Good fight glad I paid sky the £15 :o

  8. @PeaceBlondie ,well said

    @taxexile , good story

    Sexual confusion and disorientation.

Guys ask me for advice. "I met this transsexual woman at a club and I am really attracted to her but I am concerned that it means I am gay or something. Am I?"

Some careful dialogue with the guy usually uncovers the fact that he was very attracted to the TS's femininity. Her look, her voice, her movement, her laugh, her smile, her scent, and all those other feminine cues that trigger interest and a masculine response from a guy. Gay guys are not attracted to those attributes.

Therefore, if a straight man finds himself interested in a pre-op transsexual and is experiencing  some confusion as a result, then he needs to consider exactly what it is about her that is attracting him. If it's her femininity, then he's not responding like a gay man would, and thus shouldn't worry about whether he's "turning gay." If the guy can accept that he is attracted to a somewhat different kind of woman and still wants to pursue it, take it just one step at a time.

Take her out to dinner or a movie. Talk to her about whatever, listen to her words. Look into her eyes. Can he get lost in her eyes, as he can with a GG? Can he relax around her and just enjoy being with her, as if she were a GG? If so, take one more step. Hold hands, kiss her good-night. In other words, treat her like he would any GG date, at a pace that he can handle, given his concerns. Easy!

  9. Go to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy for a few singhas!!!

Go for a Soapie that should relax you a bit!! :D

    (no particular order)

    oh dear :D

Hey Jess you must be up late jus seen you reading your thread did you have a good night? :o:D:D

Oh <deleted>... I had typed a nice long reply detailing my night and then it logged me out and now I can't retrieve it!

Anyway I went out met a couple Thai girls 24/25 both spoke okay english whilst the other spoke fairly good english because she wants to be a teacher and does some teaching now. She paid for my beer and my meal! I was thinking about my lady the whole time because I ordered fruit and got my babe's favourite fruit... watermelon. So I hung out for a bit then departed from the duo with a handshake and a casual "Maybe I'll see ya around"

Man I went to bed and now I'm awake 5 hours later... it's weird that I hardly slept!

Today I'm going to look for a better hotel and actually look inside the rooms before making a purchase. Last night I just wanted to change out of my clothes and take a load off.

I'll find somewhere I prefer and then I'm going to find a reputable travel agent because I think I'm going to head to Koh Pha Ngan. I want some beach!

    Ok Jess

Go for a reputable Travel Agent.

Walk up khao San rd towards the burger King end and on your left about 3/4 of the way up jus behind some stalls situated on the path jus after that mini shopping centre forget the name now well not a mini shopping centre but there a few shops and stuff in it. Any how its a little travel agent called TOONS TRAVEL a lady in the little metall stand/stall called carton she will sort you out, say you know Ashley! and that I sent you! She will sort you right out.

So to recap walk towards burger king end and 3/4 of the way up on your left is toons travel tucked up behind a market stall no doubt. Cartoon is a real nice lady!!! A good friend.

Hey Jess let me know if you go as I aint seen her for a good while!

    Hope this helps Ash :D

  10. And Jesse has arrived!

Get yourself out to some bars and meet some likeminded people. As much as a lot of people slag it off, Khao San is a good place to start to meet other people in the same situation as you. Get some beers down you. I've always found Gullivers to be okay.

Ahh where is that? I dunno what to doo ahhh I'm actually a bit freaked and they say don't leave values in the room and they supply a free safety box but you need your own key! <deleted>?!

go to Gulivers you'll be ok!

At the oppostie end of Khao san road to burger king.

I know your gonna go to burger king now, so don't do it! Stay with the thai stuff much nicer!

    GOOD LUCK
