  2. Hi all

Ok been reading the recent Koh Chang thread ands got me thinking.

Which one would you recomend at this current moment in time.

Thinking of going for a romantic 5 day break very early next year, I shall be in CM so we don't really want to travel from our home all the way down south and have narrowed it down to Koh Chang or Samet!

    So what do you recomened?

    :D:o:D:D:D

  3. Chiang Mai is a nice place, but it depends what you are after. It is not like Pattaya, and if it's the nightlife that you enjoy in Pattaya, and that's important to you, then you'll find Chiang Mai tame in comparison. Personally i far prefer Chiang Mai, but each to their own.

    Second that :o

  4. U havent seen her in 3yrs? :o

I think I was a bit tired when posting lol

What I meant was we have been together for nearly 3 years and I have been apart from her for about half a year. And this is the big push hopefully no more time apart. Can't wait!

    You got any Ideas Brit?

  5. Do you really want to hang out in the city? I would consider hitting a resort in the mountains instead.

If so, drive up Samoeng-way (behind Doi Suthep) and stay at one of the resorts in that area. Get a package including massage and/or other spa treatment as well.

    Thanks for your reply.

Is that also the way to the elephant farm etc?

That sounds like a good idea no city just relaxation!

Do you have any names of the resorts spa around there? Have you been to any?

Also, what about Pai? Is this far from CM and is it nice there?

    Thanks for your help :o

  6. Hi all :D

I'm coming back to LOS on 3rd December and after being away from my girlfriend of nearly 3 years, after being back a few days in Chiang Mai ( well a nice little village called T Chorelae, near maetang) I would like to go and have a real special day and night out with my girlfriend.

We have a car so was thinking of travelling into CM (only 45mins drive)

So I was thinking maybe booking a hotel for the night (ideas please) but beforre in the day go and do something anything (open to ideas!) then going for a nice meal (but where) then retreating to our hotel room.

I know it donsen't matter as long as we are together but as I'm back for a year or so and shant have money to burn all the time I thought we could do something special.

What would you do? I have given you the structure to my day out but where and what to do.

    Thanks All Ash

    :o

Good luck with the trip, have you got your canadian flag patch sewn to your rucksack yet?

:D How'd you know?! I do have my patch here awaiting sewing :D

    LOL

    Any how Good Luck

  8. I'm quite proud of my website and get a lot of positive comments about it. However some people who use Firefox and other web browers say it won't open. I use MS Frontpage as it's easy for me to use.

Any way to get it to be compatible with other web browers without being a rocket scientist? I'd be happy to pay for the right person to sort this out, or maybe even completely redo my site in a manner I can still work on myself.

    Expat Motors

    Cheers.

    Hi

  9. you/ll be asked to show proof at Immigration upon your arrival though.

My things have changed since I last arrived out there May 2004.

How am I supposed to prove it?

Bank statement? ...What happens if you don't have proof?

I'll be flying one way, will they question that also?

    Hey Scamp

    Check my thread.

    One way ticket to bangkok.

    any problems?

I shall have a 60 day tourist visa stamped and the conclusion was it will be fine.

Have a look and let me know.

    Good luck Ash

  10. But why do you ignore the way I have written about at least three times in this forum?

The way that is available through Thaivisa's own software:

Using Add This Attachment (look at the bottom of the edit window - scroll if necessary - below the Post Icon Smilies).

    1. Click on the Browse...button to select the image on you hard drive

    2. Click on Add This Attachment

    3. When the edit page has reloaded, place your curser where you want the picture to appear, click on Add into Post

The picture appears reduced in size (but expandable on clicking), thus saving even more bandwidth and the need to involve a third company.

  16. Hi everyone! Im hoping somebody can give me some infromation on teaching over here? I have a degree in Environmental Science and have completed my PGCE and a years teaching in an inner city school in England. I would be quite happy to have a go at any subject but I hear that there is always work for english teachers. The info I would really be interested in would be regarding visa/work permit requirements, housing and demand.

I am currently in Bangkok on a years holiday and would be glad to visit a school or hear from anyone that has some information that may help me.
