Police flush out Thai teen’s mall bathroom masturbating video call
"The homeowner told Matichon that the man even stared at female pedestrians and spent over two hours masturbating outside her home." Wow! 2 Hours! I mean Chuck Wow!! My hand hurts after 10 minutes.

Why do decent Americans support trump
I have almost zero interest in US politics. But considering your question, I would guess that the answer is 'desperation'. This is similar to what's happening in the UK, where mainstream politicians seem to ignore the genuine concerns of many people over immigration, labeling them as far-right or fascists. This is a dangerous situation, which only forces people to turn in desperation to those politicians who do seem to hear their concerns, and that may mean a hard-right politician or a nut job....

Phuket's Mai Khao Beach Alerted to Dangerous Bluebottle Arrival
Just after the 2004 tsunami, a young girl whose mother I knew at Nai Yang beach adopted a little puppy and called it 'tsunami'. Every afternoon, this girl would walk out onto the beach and scream 'TSUNAMI' as she looked for her dog!!

Do Jewish People Have High IQ?
On the contrary, (IMHO) this is not a racist topic, BUT is an easy way in for racists to post their views..... Unfortunately, (like many AN threads), the thread starts off with good intentions, but then is rapidly derailed by trolls, bigots etc 😞

What happens in case of accident when foreigner has no PVT Insurance (only social security)
I have this dog tag around my neck always. As I have private insurance, and as I also travel in neighbouring countries, it carries the message in English, Thai, Lao and Burmese. On the other side of the tag are my personal details - name, passport number, blood group, NoK contact details.

Indian Tourists Spark Outrage for Littering into Sea at North Pattaya Beach
Throwing bottles into the sea is plain stupidity. The glass bottles can break on the pebbles and then someone could get seriously injured if they stand on the broken glass.

Why do my posts need approval?
I posted in the Health forum and got this message: "Posted just now · Hidden - This content must be approved before it can be edited. " Why? I have received no warning about any previous posts. As one of the longest-standing forum members, I'd like to know the reason for withholding my post. Thanks.

I met Mr Independent
... People who try to face every obstacle by themselves get worn down, and eventually it can lead to depression or worse ...
IMHO, that entirely depends upon the individual. I have always faced my obstacles alone, and either overcome them or found an alternative solution. I absolutely do not like to rely on others because - from previous experience - I have been let down by those who claim to be supportive. Better to do it myself!

I met Mr Independent
Emotional support?!! The only people who need emotional support are those who are mentally-ill or soft-brained! My father was 'old-skool' and I was brought up to understand that the world owes you nothing and you have to stand on your own 2 feet. I have friends and family, both in-person and online, but contact with them is for social/family reasons, not for this new-fangled woke reason of emotional support. FFS grow a pair!

I met Mr Independent
I've lived in Thailand/south-east Asia for 22+ years. The worst time that I had was when I had a Thai GF/wife. Now divorced (for the 3rd time about 10 years ago), I am completely independent of anyone, Thai or otherwise. I prefer it that way. I no longer have the responsibility of considering the views of a wife or partner. I can do what I want and go where I want. I'm a social guy, but have zero interest in sharing my life with a partner. Since getting divorced all those years ago, I have traveled to or lived in Mauritius, Turkish coast, UK, Khao Lak, Koh Lanta, Koh Phangan, Samui, Pattaya, Ranong, Bueng Kan, Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyitaw, Luang Prabang... I'm not sure that I could do that with a partner 'in tow'.

So I employed a Thai plumber ...
On my first little hotel build in Phuket, I let my Thai brother-in-law do the blue plastic pipe plumbing for cold water, (the glued type of fixings). He did the work, and then laid down the concrete floor and tiling over the pipes. Of course, months later it all started to leak, because he hadn't bothered to clean the pipe joints before applying the glue.... out with the jackhammer, break up the floors, replace the piping myself.. After that for my next hotels, I made sure that no water pipes went under the floors. I designed the bathrooms so that all water connections for shower, toilet and washbasin came through the outside wall 🙂

Prostate cancer options
Unless of course if you have a very aggressive form of prostate cancer, in which case you might be dead in 6 months....... 🙂

Prostate cancer options
The only sure way (I'm not a doctor), is with a biopsy to withdraw cells from your prostate and then examine them for signs of cancer. A raised PSA can be an indication of prostate cancer, but it doesn't confirm cancer. My PSA value is always about 9, but I don't have cancer. It's raised because of BPH and UTIs. An MRI can detect unusual lumps inside your prostate, but it doesn't confirm cancer. My MRI shows 2 lumps inside my prostate, but they turned out to be benign cancer stones.

Prostate cancer options
I'm no doctor 🙂 (Ask Sheryl). But my understanding of prostate cancer is that it is usually a slow-progressing kind of cancer, and many men who opt for no treatment die WITH prostate cancer, but not BECAUSE of prostate cancer. But then there are the small number of prostate cancer cases which advance rapidly, and which could be slowed by medical treatments. I think the idea that all those who have had prostate cancer treatment have to wear a nappy is far from correct. Bear in mind (with my non-doctor's hat on), that it's bladder control (or lack of it) that leads to urinary incontinence, not issues with your prostate (please check this with Sheryl!). I have perfect bladder control, but my BPH and UTIs mean that I use the toilet many times each day, just to relieve the sensation of wanting to pee. But I can sleep a full night and travel outside for hours without needing to pee - I just need to put that sensation out of my mind. If I were 75 years old and had prostate cancer, I might consider having no medical treatment. But at a younger age, and in otherwise good health, I (personally) would prefer to seek some treatment (and of course there are various options).

Prostate cancer options
Yes, it's important to consider the worst case scenario and what your options are. I went through all of this, allayed my fears, identified a path that I preferred to go down that seemed the best for my future health. It was a big shock (and happy present) when the NHS nurse phoned me late on a Friday evening to say that no cancer cells were found 🙂

Help needed to understand some points of a farang buying a house in Thailand.
A land lease contract for 30+30+30 years is 100% illegal and, from my knowledge of Thai law, the existence of such a written contract actually nullifies the complete contract, including for the first 30 years. Rent!!

Prostate cancer options
Don't assume that it's cancer. I traveled back to the UK 18 months ago after 2 lumps appeared on a Bumrungrad MRI. My PSA was around 14. But my NHS doctor said cancer unlikely, based on his own experience and stats. After 24 biopsy samples, no cancer found, but benign calcium stones found in my prostate! So wait for your biopsy results and good luck! (I was 64 years old at the time).
