  1. Have mulled through different reports and video footage today and the only salient point is <deleted> were the police. Not a single trace to be seen of the bastions of law and order.

They were supposed to have been ordered to provide protection to the protesters and keep the Red faction renowned for their violence, away from each other, however, to do that you must have presence and that is something these Thaksin lackeys do not possess as their training only involves taking handouts and falsifying or ignoring evidence. They are truly a bloody disgrace to both the people and the country.

As most people apart from yourself realise, is that the police are hated by the yellow shirts!

which is why they keep a low profile!

Do you get it now or what? coffee1.gif

The EC could have asked for police assistance to ensure voting ran smoothly, but because they are biased PRDC supporters, they didn't. As soon as Suthep's mob arrived they happily packed up shop leaving 400,000+ voters inconvenienced & disenfranchised. The mob even had pre-made signs saying that voting had been suspended, that must have been ordered days ago. In cahoots & should all be fired along with the bent judges.

    400,000+ disenfranchised voters ?

Hope you have evidence for that statement whistling.gifcoffee1.gif

  2. The shared minibus? That sounds a good option.

You can pay at the taxi/minibus desk as you arrive at Phuket Airport. Used to be about 160 - 180 baht/person, not sure of current price. Downside is that you might have to wait a short time until they fill the minibus, and the biggest hassle is the stop at a place wher they try to sell you a hotel room, tour, whatever. Just stay in the bus and ignore the agents. For sure it's takes longer than a taxi, but better than waiting for a bus and then having to find your way to you hotel from where the bus stops. The minibus should take you to your hotel, well, at least drop you off at the road end w00t.gif

Thanks, but that's not for me, I have still to get back to the airport, and theres no way I will use a taxi, or tuktuk, from what I have read on TV and elsewhere, they are to be avoided at all costs. Thanks for your help anyway.

A mini bus is bookable -------hotel - airport just ask the hotel reception staff

    Easy ! smile.png

  3. I am over 50 (58) retired on Social Security Disability 2006. I do not meet the requirements for a retirement Visa. My monthly income is short of what is required. I only miss it by a few hundred and I do not have the amount needed to put in a bank in Thailand. Traveled a bunch in Central & South America ( no visa needed for 3 month stay in most of those countries, then you can get as many 3 month stays as you want by leaving the country for 2 days) This will be my first in South East Asia.

However, my core question has not been specifically answered. Can I arrive being 30 day visa exempt then go to another country & get dual or Multi-entry visas?

Please answer YES or NO. Then you can add any additional info I may need. I do have a "dummy" exit ticket to Laos.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand

The answer you seek is yes ! However you will find it very difficult to secure any form of "multi -entry" visa unless married to a Thai.

Why not just apply for a tourist visa before leaving home and save some hassle ?

  4. Might help to acknowledge what the Judge is reported to have said !

"Judge Jamie Tabor QC said: 'I am certainly not going to cast aspersions on your wife because it would be unfair to do so. What I am prepared to do is accept that you felt you were being used.

'Whether that is true or not is secondary. You have an alcohol problem and when people with alcohol problems arm themselves with knives the consequences are very often fatal or near fatal.'
As well as the 12 months jail term the judge made a restraining order banning West from contacting his wife or going to the restaurant where she works."
  5. I am B-, 28 years old and in good health. I used to donate frequently back in the UK. I will pop down tomorrow, have been meaning to sign up for donations in the Kingdom.

    Wish you all the best.

Be aware that if you were in the UK from January 1, 1980, through December 31, 1996, you may be refused owing to the very unlikely possibility of Creutzfeld-Jacob Disease having been contracted during that time.

  6. Just for information here are the BA "rules" which are adhered to by many airlines.

    And the WHO guidlines

    Note !

Failure to consult the airline about "fitness to fly" requirements may result in a refusal to board an individual.
