We live in a small single-track, dead end soi in town. It's quiet and used only by the ten or so families who live in the soi or their visitors. People, young and old, walk up and down, kids play in the road, dogs wander about.

The vast majority of traffic travels very slowly and our 4 dogs very rarely react from behind the gate. However, there's one frequent visitor who insists on gunning his bike up the soi at high speed and the dogs have learnt to recognise the sound of his bike. Whenever they hear it, they go nuts. The bloke has been asked to drive more slowly because of the playing kids but the requests have been ignored.

Three of our dogs are very placid, one can be a bit unpredictable but they all seem to dislike this bloke on his bike above all others. Maybe he scared them sometime in the past when they were outside and that stays in their minds, who knows.

I'm sure they'd make friends with the person , given the chance, but still hate the sound of the bike and react to it.

We got one nut that has to go as fast as he can down the street and it drives these two dogs across the street crazy. They start barking when they hear him coming. I am sure he does it on purpose to aggravate them as speeds up even more at their house.

You wouldn't be so chipper about it if they'd used steel instead of brass for the fitting that comes out of the wall for the tap, and it rusted and broke off flush. Have to smash the wall back to replace the fitting at the pipe, then plaster and new tiles. I've been there, done that.

No didn't have touch that nut only the one connected to the tap.

  3. Our seat broke and tap at the sink was leaking. Wife told the landlady and she brought the replacement parts and said they would send someone to fix it. Told her no need I can do it.

Cripes you guys the toilet seat only requires two plastic wing nuts to secure it. A kid could do it. The tap was bit harder as nut wouldn't turn. A couple of hard raps on the tap and rotten metal broke right off. Replaced the new hardware and Bob's your uncle.

You can carry 7/11 coffee cups by holding the bottom of the cup in the palm of your hand, that bit doesnt get hot .

The cups are also not free , if you just want a cup , you have to pay for the intended  content as well , even if there are no contents

Maybe some coffee places should adopt the Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons paper sleeve that fits over the coffee cup so you can hold it comfortably.  Works great no need for two cups.

  5. It works both ways. Go back to a cold country in the winter and you.will be freezing. Takes awhile to get use to it. People who don't spend anytime outdoors are always freezing. My ex was terrible for this. I would say let's go for a walk...no its too cold. In the summer it was too hot.

  6. When my wife's father died it was 3 days. Hé had been staying at our house in Rayong and got sick. His wife was here to help him. When he passed all the family and friends came from Nakhon ST. Had a lot of people staying at our house.

If you think that's bad. Try visiting Quebec in Canada where they speck English but will act like they don't.

I there a few years ago to Montreal and Quebec City and almost everyone spoke to me in English and I do know some French. The older generation use to be like what you said but the younger generation isnt like that anymore. I was pleasantly suprised.

So how long ago was this?

Maptaput are also my local immigration office, and, when I applied for my previous retirement extension there in July 2016, an officer informed my wife that it really was now high time for her to submit a completed TM30 as my housemaster after nearly 8 years of my living here! They were, however, pretty relaxed about when she needed to do this and didn't impose any fine. So we just mailed the form in (with copies of her housebook, ID card and our marriage certificate) with my next 90-day report a few weeks later, and back came the TM30 notification slip along with that for the 90-day report in the post a week afterwards.

Well the last time I came back from Canada was 2013. Never did any reporting and I had 6 trips before that. Besides they got the info they need when I did the retirement extention but now on a marriage extention. I was ignorent of the reporting back then but know now.

Color is very important to Thais, that's why there is lots of discrimination against Thais from Issan. A dark skin means you work in the rice fields, therefore low social status.

Haven't you noticed all the white-skinned Thai models, male and female, on Thai TV flogging skin whitening products?

Alot of people with whiter skin on TV are frang thai mix.

Better known as Thai Military Junta National Propaganda Day. I'm looking forward to it, does anybody know where I can buy a pair of Thai flag shorts. The markets always have USA and British flag shorts for sale but when I inquire about Thai flag shorts, the shop employees always look at me like I have two heads.

My neighbor has the US stars and stripes on his boxers. I was was going to ask him if the Thai flag boxers are available also. Think I will to see what reaction I get.?
