Then you obviously never saw CNN presentation during Desert Storm. That went further than propaganda though, as they were transmitting live to strikes taking off for missions against Iraqi forces being watched live in Baghdad as well as in the western world. That BS is what made CNN.

Or the embedded media for the second one going into Iraq. That is how propaganda backfires; underestimating the enemy thinking the war is over after mass troop movements finish, not believing urban & guerrilla warfare would follow.

Oh believe me saw it and couldn't watch CNN anymore. Switched to another network.

Suzuki GS1100 when I was 14~15 years old.  It weighed more than I did. By a lot.                                                                                                                                60 mph in 1st gear, tears flowing out of my eyes, I managed to get this beautiful beast turned around and back to where I started.  Haven't ridden anything that powerful since.  Just not interested.  But.  No doubt. THAT was the most exciting, and petrifying, motorcycle ride I've ever taken.

I had one too the GS1100EX. It was Damm Fast.  use to take it to a drag strip. Very nice bike with the most comfortable seat of any bike

We live in a small single-track, dead end soi in town. It's quiet and used only by the ten or so families who live in the soi or their visitors. People, young and old, walk up and down, kids play in the road, dogs wander about.

The vast majority of traffic travels very slowly and our 4 dogs very rarely react from behind the gate. However, there's one frequent visitor who insists on gunning his bike up the soi at high speed and the dogs have learnt to recognise the sound of his bike. Whenever they hear it, they go nuts. The bloke has been asked to drive more slowly because of the playing kids but the requests have been ignored.

Three of our dogs are very placid, one can be a bit unpredictable but they all seem to dislike this bloke on his bike above all others. Maybe he scared them sometime in the past when they were outside and that stays in their minds, who knows.

I'm sure they'd make friends with the person , given the chance, but still hate the sound of the bike and react to it.

We got one nut that has to go as fast as he can down the street and it drives these two dogs across the street crazy. They start barking when they hear him coming. I am sure he does it on purpose to aggravate them as speeds up even more at their house.

  4. I remember in high school the police came and showed a film of horrific crashes. It was pretty gory. Sure made a impression on me.

Another time the police set up a safety information demonstration at a mall parking lot. One was kind of sled that at maybe 40 degree incline of maybe 20 feet. You got in and slid to a complete sudden stop at the bottom. It was quite jarring. It's purpose was show up that even at a slow speed the forces can be extreme.

Wouldn't be a idea to the same at the schools here.

Most new build "western" homes that I have seen will also have an outside cooking area and which is used for the cooking with chili, etc.  For steaks, there's usually the outside grill.  IE: maybe don't need a hood unless the smell of bacon cooking in the morning is offensive.  In the past, when I have had a hood, about the only time it got used is when I would cheat a cig inside the house.  But, to the question... yeah, mostly imported, and the appeal from westerners that think it's a necessary item.

Bacon never smells offensive. If anything it makes you hungry.

if Thailand was a real country they would invest in a state of the art satellite and nation wide Doppler radar and a huge investment in weather predicting super computers. They could share the cost with neighboring countries.

    BUT NO.

Why? We know when rainy season is and the 2 week cold snap is.. The rest of time is just hot

And.in the west we know when spring summer fall.and winter starts.

    But have excellent weather channels.
