^ Can pick it up in a pet store?
-
Just need to pay for their monkey touting license and all will be well.

The clothes only sold small anorexic style clothes that the Thais wear...
Uhmmm...no offense but have you got a bit of a chip south of your head, perchance?
By the way, did she literally call you " fat" (or is that you being a somewhat sensitive)?
Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa ap
Yes, she called me a pig in Thai. I don't think that is being oversensitive.
She was probably being cute.
Thais give their fat kids the nickname Moo <deleted>.

Street vendors on Sukhumvit road, Bangkok.
Not sure if legal.
Any idea of cost?
-
Where would one acquire such stuff for self protection? (nothing illegal of course)
And how much would it cost?
Something as little lethal as possible (Mace?)

^ CBR250 for my daily commuting around the city, and having fun.
-
^ That's exactly what I meant.
Going around to different Nissan dealerships while stopping off in other manufacturer's dealerships to have a gander and see if there's anything offered competitively.
Wife will ask about the VAT added to the monthly payment today.
-
^ Absolutely.
we'll also be stopping off at the Toyota and Honda dealerships along the way with our Nissan brochure in had to see if they want to cut some deals (unlikely, but no harm in a stop off.) on their cheapy mini salons.
-
I expect there to be also VAT on the interest though, so the 5,651 might end up higher.
Thanks, that is one thing to ask today.
To repeat the question, who exactly are you dealing with?
Sorry, sales manager of the Nissan dealership close to Big C in Lam Luk Ka.

the financing options are not the same as the leasing options.
On the other hand I would not go fo a financing of more then around 5 years for a car in Bangkok. It may not last that long but you still have to pay until the bitter end.
Thanks for the info.
It really won't be driven in BKK at all. We live in the Northern suburbs, my bike is my daily commuter into the city. This is really just a twice weekly shopper and twice-monthly drive to Ayuthaya or similar. I doubt it will ever go much above 100kph.
After 5 years of riding my bike through BKK every day, I have absolutely no inclination to ever go in there in a car.

Sounds like you will be asked at the end of these payments if you want to buy (lease) another car, or pay a final sum to own the one you have leased.
If something sounds to good to be true, it usually is..........
Have you read the whole thread or only the first few posts?
I suspect the latter.
You are wrong, but good luck with the "lease"..
So you are saying that their financing options are in fact the same as the leasing options? That they don't have any financing options to buy a car via monthly payments that don't have a follow on payment to own it at the end, that you can in fact only lease it?
Interesting to see you back this up.
We have already been told there is a fee at the end to own it.
Approx 1,700b to have it transferred to our name.
-
The finance deal (to own it) that we'll probably go for, and find quite reasonable.
Total: 492,672.

BTW, my above is not 'Easy Pay' leasing.
It is finance to own it.
As in the brochure: 85,800 down. 5651 p/m for 72 months (6 years). Total: 492,672 for a car listed as 429,000.
The original dealings and unclear answers were from an idiot sales lady, we have since been dealing directly with the sales manager, where we have been getting clear answers as to the different financing payments.
For us it makes sense to pay 85k now and save 100k or whatever in overall payments, than paying only 25 or 50k now but paying substantially more over the whole period.
-
Interesting follow up.
The wife has been in contact with the manager and gotten some clear answers.
Pricing is as follows:
Manual:
So 85k down and 5651p/m for 6 years it is.
-
Probably because no-one's reported it or no mods have noticed yet.
Don't worry, Fookhaht is on the case and may even get the buttons he's dreaming of.

I needed a 10 AMP replacement fuse & was rudely shooed by the motorbike shop manager when I wouldn't accept a 20AMP fuse she had in stock. "Same same"
She would have fried my electrical system for a 5 Baht profit.
Ah yes.
A honda dealership for my motorbike.
Blue cap oil for scooter.
Red cap oil for bigger bikes.
Different Viscosity levels.
They only have the blue cap. Oh no, I want the red cap.
Same, same.
No, they're not the same.
Yes, SAME!
Why do they have different colour tops then.
Mr. Almera gets about 2 seconds away from being attacked with whatever was closest to hand to the 'trained and certified Honda mechanic working in an official Honda dealership!'
Odd people.
Odd society.
Not a very nice or intelligent one really, eh.

After suffering different Thai mattresses
(iron ones with tinny cloth layer =Thai idea of a matrass , no wonder they like sleeping on floor )
in different condos I bought my own , a DUNLOPPILO latex one who let me feel like sleeping on a cloud......, price in sales offer at Home Pro Pattaya 12000 bhat , I could sell my bed ..... but not anymore my mattress
Thanks.
Will make a note of it.

Long guarantee....I don't know as well, maybe someone can proof me wrong but I doubt that they would really replace it....
I would suspect that is the case, but it might hint at it being better quality.
Nobody seems to be able to answer what other system there is of knowing the quality of a mattress (number rating of materials or something similar).
-
It will be used long term.
Cost doesn't matter up to 10k.
Answers as to what stipulates a better mattress, are what I'm looking for.
"I've no idea of what makes some better than others though. Is there some sort of number rating system or anything on them that shows it's better quality?"
-
we bought cheap and medium priced mattress and after one year most of them were bad (my weight 70 kg).Having bought some , my only comment would be to buy one that has atleast a 6 yr guarantee, you will pay around 7k and up, anything less and it will, in my experience be flat and uneven within a year, they are built for 45kg Thais NOT 90kg ferangs, buy the best you can afford, if you have 10k spend 10k dont try to penny pinch, you,ll regret it.
1 is still fine and I think it was one of the cheaper one.
Around how much did you pay? And did it have a long guarantee (6 years) ?
-
I'm in Bangkok.
Between work and family I have very little time to get out and around searching for something.
What BTS station, or is it a secret?

Thanks. Will do.

What would make one mattress better than another?
I guess at his sort of price it will be a spring mattress. I've no idea of what makes some better than others though. Is there some sort of number rating system or anything on them that shows it's better quality?
Thanks.
