Only in place if you are older than 50
Incorrect.
I'm 33.
12 month extendable (renewable) visas (Extensions, technically, not visas)
Give 200b to a motosai rider every 3 months to go to immigration for me.
Perfect.

Anyway, another example of foreigners getting the shaft job in a place you would not really expect it.
Oh, no. I'd fully expect it anywhere in Thailand in any business being run by Thais of any caste and social level.
-
Of course anyone who who moves out to their lovely's province, buys their little abode in the middle of her smiling, waiing family, then expects to live there should they want him out may be in for a wittle surprise about Thainess.

I think the name of the source says it all for how credible this is:

We've been allowed to own one rai for a long time.
You just have to invest 40 million baht first.
PS, for those who don't know, it's a special loophole created for foreign embassies, but still legally open to others.
-
Never underestimate the nature of the Thai, and the thirst for money and a feeling of power over others.

The Perfect Visa For Thailand ?
Easily extendable (and renewable) for 12 months, with minimal income requirements.
Mail some photocopies to them every 3 months, or give them to a motosai driver to take them there for 200b.
Perfect.

The OP request was "and still protect Thailand".
In other words, stringent proof that you have a good capital base and are supporting yourself without working here illegally would be part of that.
Few hundred k baht in the bank or proof of an income stream (small to us, large to the common Thai) is already in place.
Perfect.

^ Northern Thai mountains, sure.
Roads going up around the 3 pagoda pass, all over Isaan, down South, fantastic. For a BKK based rider/tourer it must be great.

A bit off topic, but out of interest I looked up my CBR250 manual. I have the English one (downloaded from the Honda site from Malaysia or Australia, forget which).
And:
Then looked inside the Thai one that came with the bike, and it does indeed say that you can use E20.
Does anyone know if AP Honda has specially adjusted fuel tank and fuel lines, and adjusted whatever it is Honda feel will give it 'poor drivability'
It seems there are really only 3 cases, and each one is odd:
a) Thai Honda have spent money and gone to a lot of trouble to make the bike run on E20 by specializing the gas tank and fuel system.
b ) Honda are overstating the problems it would cause.
c) Thai Honda didn't do anything and are slightly fibbing in their claims.
Anyone know if AP Honda have a different tank and fuel lines the the rest of the World?

Not that God was an Englishman, but the fact Thailand was never colonised was to its disadvantage, wherever the British colonised in the world they generally left a well organised and prosperous nation(what happened afterwards is not for comment)
The screaming comments a few years back from the editor of The Nation lamenting his fellow Thai to being 50 years behind the thinking pattern of neighbouring countries due to the above raised a few laughs.
That is funny. "Thailand 50 years behind her neighbors?" You mean Myanmar? Cambodia? Vietnam? Laos? If you believe that, then you Sir, need to quit smoking that funny cig.
Actually I would agree. Not in terms of development and infrastructure, but in terms of mindset and social progression.
Go to any of the neighbouring countries (particularly Cambodia) and it is immediate that the people want to progress, want to learn, understand the advantage of doing so and do so with open minds.
Returning to Thailand is like returning to the land of the Zombies. We number one. We best. You no good. You no unnerstand. From people who've never left the country and have a menthol stick or finger up their hooter 22 hours a day.
It's why Thailand is, and has, fallen behind it's much underdeveloped neighbours in terms of education. The region's future's bright, just a lot less so here.

Nice one Brian.
A smooth-ass powerband all the way up to 140+HP

Nice one Stefan.
I'd also consider getting the seat recovered with a nicer black material and perhaps some orange stitching. I always do it on my bikes as the stock material is always a bit cheap and shiny looking. For my CBR250 it was about 600b I think. Toom in Intamara soi 21 is famous for good work.

Thanks, Ban Krut beach does look nice, I'm going to check them all (B.S. Noi as well) out when I arrive on my bike before booking a place.

It's a Thai culture thing.
Move your kid to a more expensive place and you wont see this.
Yes, ones where Thai teachers aren't employed.
-
Well it must be true then.
Will give it a shot at the next fill up for the sake of it.
Almera just check before you say something man.
I know, I know. Asking a Question about an odd fuel blend that isn't readily available in any Western markets is a bit off. Sorry, man.

Just another daily story that makes me thankful for not trying to run a business here.

Actually was no insinuation that cmk was gay, simply that he seemed to know quite a bit about his friend's behavior. Makes one wonder about what kind of person considers someone like that a close friend.
I always find it quite funny these men who know someone that behaves a certain way and extrapolates that behavior to half the population based on their own limited acquaintances.
Interesting discussion.
How do you know his or others acquaintances are limited?
It is interesting, thanks.

95
I meant the Ecu gets tuned to the fuel air mix as you use it.
So what is the range of the stock ECU. Why not use E85?
-
^ Yeah, just checked, and it's only 5b p/l cheaper, so only 50b cheaper for an (almost) full tank of 10 liters.
Think I'll just stick to 10% eth as my threshold.
-
Wow. Ever heard of ECU tuning? Try using E20 after a few hundred km's see if you have knocking. And it is not a joke!
So
question.. Can the Honda 500's run on E20 like the Cbr250?
The CBR250 can run on E20.
Jaysus, how much engine-knock does that cause?
Absolutely none. As it's designed for it..... strange I know
It is?
I use 95 gas on mine, 91 and I get engine knock.
How is the engine designed for it? Thailand is only a tiny market for the bike on a global scale, do the big markets also have E20 (US, E.U. and Aus.)?
So the Thai ECU is tuned differently to the ROW? (source?), or are you saying something different?
I ONLY use E20. I don't chop and change.
I've never once used it.
Maybe that's the difference. Or could just be I don't hear it through the ear plugs and helmet!
what octane is E20 anyway?
-
^ Do you feel better now, that is the important question.
