Slumberland.
Beautyrest.
I like their names.
How about Makesufukbetta, or theburbnfartcreator.

Why don't they just say 'This is the money we were going to spend on it, instead of building it we're going to divide x amount between all of us ministers and the such, and then we'll divide x amount into 10,000 equal amounts and draw I.D. card numbers out of a hat and they'll receive that.
5k baht cash gets your ID card number entered twice. 10k for trice.
Everybody would be happy and there'd be less that could/would go wrong.

A foreigner who is helpful to foreigners, helping them in a way that Thais cannot (giving info to them, and communicating to them in Russian) is arrested in a tourist area for helping foreigner on their holiday here.
Well done Thailand. Perhaps raiding Thai policestations for plastic bags full of cash and cells with suspects being tortured in might be a better way to spend an afternoon. Perhaps even going around the beaches and picking up all the plastic crap that the Thais toss over their shoulders might be.
LOL! Did you actually read the article? Yet another Russian working in the tourist industry was caught without a work permit, a passport or visa. What would your country do?
Give them a 5 bedroom house and the equivalent of 200,000 rupleskis a week in welfare.

^^ Next thing they'll be cutting Laos girls in half with their Porches, killing 70 odd in their burning nightclubs, torturing and murdering teenagers and hanging them from trees, and never see one second of prison despite being 'convicted' of such in courts of *ahem* law..
Get 'em out now. Thailand is for the Thais.

A good matterss is one you like.
I thought it would be one you like and doesn't have a large hollow after 2 years.
I'll splash the extra few k and go for one of the Slumberland ones. I never automatically belief Thai stores and their 'before' prices on promotion items, but they seem to have brand recognition and if really usually anything close to 30k then are a good deal at around 12-13k with all promos and discounts.

Might give it a go.
As long as giving them 1020b for a 520b bill makes them scratch their heads, then remove their socks as they begin adding and subtracting, in order to make the process genuine.

BTW,
IKEA had a great sales display, with cut-through demo's pf each model, guaranteed for 25 years, really terrific info and choice, and price! until it came to picking it up and they didn't have the one I wanted in the size I wanted, and seemed to be out of stock for most of them. Oh well. Need it by next week so into Homepro and they have some very good promo's on.
I'm only interested in King-Size, 6 feet, 180cm or whatever you term in your country, lot's of Slumberland on 50% off from 30k to about 15k, with an extra 'I give you 5% more off' plus Homepro card they give an extra 10% off.
Plus other 'brandnames' that I don't know. So for 6 feet around 12-13k for Slumberland and others.
Will probably go for one of them tomorrow if they can deliver before Songkran.

If he spends one second in jail my name is Somchai McTurdsack.

And they dropped the charges of driving under the influence because?
They couldn't prove the intoxicants entered the body before or after the accident.
-
Probably were busy planning their morning somtam and fried insects.
Good luck with it little one. Hope you pull through okay. Your suffering is yet another mental note as to why not entrust any Thais with my child.

I used that canal for 10 years and had some close shaves with bad drivers. Used to get a rash even when getting splashed with that water. Something drastic must happen before they clean it up and make it safe. Just like the boats on the Chao Phraya before that fatal pier collapse where many people died.
But, but, Thailand is a developing nation, they can't be expected to manage such things. Why you talk bad Thailan, huh?

Maybe an IQ test for people involved in public transport ???
Or a maturity test. "Are you maturer than a 6 year old?"
Make a TV show out of it.

Congrats, great little bike I'm sure, if it is what you want.
-
I actually researched this around 3 years ago.
Memory is a little hazy, but to get a license to drive an Intercity bus/coach was something like the following.
Be over 20 yr old.
Be in possession of a valid Thai DL.
Pass a test that involves driving around a track.
That was it.
Given that the Thai DL doesn't mean that you've actually driven on the road, just around an inclosed track, and then the same for the bus license, it means that they can get a license to drive an Intercity bus without ever haven driven on the road before.

If I'm disappointed with something in life i usually let go and let it fade away, I don't bang on about it and keep reminding myself.
I know, I know... These guys banging on and on and on that mid-engined, marketed 'sports' bikes shouldn't be able to go past 9k rpm... whatcha gonna do, everyone's entitled to an opinion, even the inexperienced low revvers out there.
-
I'd attach some sort of chord or something to that just in case.
With those handlebars you could probably get one of the RAM mounts for mountainbikes that would screw on.
Take a look at the various RAM mounts. Plenty of catalogues and dealers out there.

Some years ago my wife was driving me home after exercise and we were going to pass through Wing 41 with a valid sticker and in a car. I had just finished exercise and I was not wearing a shirt - I did have pants on. There was a higher ranking person helping at the gate and he would not let us enter while I did not have a shirt on because it would be disrespectful. We had to U-Turn, I put on my shirt, then we could go through.
MSPain
And mister Big Thai grew an extra two inches in his underpants. Probably made the sad man's week.

I *love* topics like this.
BTW I was turned away at a naval base in the Sattahip area a couple days ago. (There's a beach inside). But current policy is Thai people only; no passes, can't register, nothing. So there you go. See how lucky we are with Wing 41.
I went through there on my bike.
As he saw I was a farang his face dropped and he jumped out trying to stop me. I just laughed and went on past him. Was quite enjoyable. I don't believe in kow-towing to pointless racist discrimination.
The OP though, these bases need a pass, like I have for Don Muang in BKK, 100b a year and it saves about 30km a day, 6 days a week.

"We have been implementing this concept to pay an extra allowance to
medical workers for three years but we found that many of them were
competing and fighting each other to keep score for the allowance."
Thais being competitive and stabbing each other in the back, well, I am surprised, lucky they're not policemen getting different promotions or there'd be a gun massacre.
There is no hope for this country and its 'professionals', don't even bother trying.

So out of interest what do *you* look for when shopping for a motorcycle? Can be new or used
Decide on what criteria I want or need, test it, get informed about it.... then buy it if it is better than the competitors.
CBR250 is the best bike for around the city at the moment, in my eyes. So I have that. At the weekend I'm more family-man than weekend bike-tourer nowadays, but am casting my eyes over what's out there for a second weekend bike. Something good for touring, but is also fun. Probably a N650 as it is cheap n cheerful, and will only be used twice a month, if that.
I don't have the time to be working or stressing on bikes so need reliability and easy maintenance, have minimal riding time, so the cheap n cheerful Thai produced Honda's and Kawa's seem like the easiest, best bet.
I like life to be easy.

But the pickup truck driver pulled up alongside his van, and then took
out a gun to threaten him, which frightened the foreign tourists in the
van.
I foresee the charges of brandishing a weapon to be dropped in favor of the much more serious charges of 'tarnishing Thailand's image' if this officer isn't connected in any way.
Who does he think he is, showing tourists the true nature of the Thai, lock him up or at least transfer him out of tourists eyes.
-
A Pattaya municipal officer used his gun to threaten a van driver transporting tourists on Sukhumvit Road, near the Pattaya Floating Market. The drunk suspect was tailgating the van, and became enraged when the van did not make room to let him pass.
Ahhh, Thainess.
Such a beautiful thing to behold.
