Does anyone know this man?
You should. If you care about "likes" and quality content.
He has made quite a study of likes and knows his stuff.
I have been watching this guy and I don't much like him.
But you might.

If you want to know what he likes about likes, and rewarding quality comments, please go here to read it straight from this horse's mouth.
I think you will enjoy the article, I really do.
Yes, he could use a shave in Thailand.

I see. You mean I should use the tools provided to quote the addressee if I wish to address correctly?
Believe me, I would be very happy to do so but I just can't figure out all the software yet.
Also, I have heard from others that the quoting software may have bugs in it and need "sorting" whatever that means.
Please just give me a few days to practice. But I am also fearful if I practice "live" then I may screw up the forum somehow.
You can see the predicament in which I find myself.
But I will try.
The fonts, I probably cannot help, long-term.
I spell like an ape, and I know it.
I always have. And I am sure I always will.
But again, I will try.

Thank you Kaptain, for the information, which I would have found useful a few years ago when I could not get enough cheese.
Then I learned that not only was I half full of ham, but the other half was just about full of cheese.
10 years ago, I just stopped eating dairy because the place I lived was about 5 hours round-trip to the nearest store which sold it.
It required about 1 year of being completely off dairy before I lost all interest in it.
Now though, since I have been in Thailand, I have been consuming 100% milk one liter per day.
Maybe cheese will be next?
It is probably better if I do not indulge and fall off the cheese wagon.
Thank you very much for telling me that it is available if I throw all caution to the wind.
If I do give in, I will just buy a giant wheel and roll it back to my abode and make up for lost time.

"People now flock to all corners of the world to live and work. There is no going back now."
Yes there is.
This is already happening in all corners of the world.
Some of us have just not noticed it.
All major governments are preparing for increased numbers of foreigners to begin pushing at borders around the world, foreigners trying to get in to places which have more abundant resources and more democracy and better standards of living.
Foreigners will be kept out in increasing numbers.
This circumstance will not matter to those who have significant financial resources, such as those who live in gated communities.
They will go and do whatever they choose.
As for me, I am not worried either.
I'll just search around for some really marginal land,
And just squat awhile.
I'll send you postcards when I get there, 'wishing you were here'.

"Cheese is a killer here. I once took a look at the Rimping receipts for a month and was shocked. Haven't bought any since. That was about 3 months ago. Yes I miss it but the prices are crazy here"
I used to love cheese, also. Even Stilton, today I sometimes still dream about. But I have not purchased cheese in years. And I do not miss it in the least, except for Stilton when you mention it.
But if you do miss cheese, then my advice is to find something in Thailand that looks like this:

Once you have had a few bites of this fermented delight, then you will never pine for cheese again. I used to live off the stuff, almost. And it is healthier than bread.
What is it called?
ChouDouFu.
I am sure you can find it almost anywhere.
Add as much chili as you like.
You can make it yourself if you wish to spend the time.
Great as a snack for the kids, after school.

Crisinth,
I agree with you that it does not matter where the poster is from. But it is interesting.
Why people do this, build a false persona?
I do not know.
Here might be two fun examples:
The Fake Steve Jobs blog:
(You can see him here giving us the "Wai")
The Stanley Bing blog
http://management.fortune.cnn.com/category/stanley-bing/
(He pretended to be a real life High Level Exec at a Fortune 500!)
Funny as Hell!!!
Please, folks, do not blame me that there are people around here on this internet, and on TV perhaps, who just enjoy being PRETENDERS.
Why they do it? I can't say for sure.
Do I like it? Yes I do. I find it interesting.
Am I a pretender?
I don't think anyone really cares.
But I find the posts on this forum interesting, especially the ones from those not in Thailand, sometimes.

As far as music hear in Thailand is concerned, any who find loud music in restaurants and in the public commons, and on some public transport, objectionable will very unfortunately need to wait until more of a middle class develops.
With improving levels of education, tastes will gradually change.
And then so may the availability of some of the more pleasurable carnal desires that some people enjoy.

"Try living in the villages in Thailand...
Music from 530am - 10pm, sometimes 12 on a regular basis!"
Try living in China, there it is the government which is doing the blasting of the music, and much more, whether anyone likes it or not.
And it is piped in almost everywhere in some places.
It is as if the music becomes part of the very landscape in which you live.
Very pervasive and objectionable.

Thailand being about 11 hours ahead of NYC, people here are fortunate they are able to listen to WQXR's solid uninterrupted nightly music programming in the daytime, Bangkok time.
This is really the best the United States has to offer.
If you don't like it, then you are either not a classical music fan or
You might as well just go jump in the lake,
If you expect to find something better down there.

She is a perfect SeaVision of beauty.
But, yes, that is sort of the look I was remembering.
My thinking is that the style arrived at by girls here and there, is sort of an amalgam of traditional East and contemporary West.
All the girls look nice. But they seem to not go all the way so quickly to become completely westernized in their dress.
This leaves them being sort of a part of both sides, with a look all their own.
I do see this look often in offices and about town. The only time it seems strange is very early in the workday when the girls come in with liberal dashes of perfume sprinkled here and there. I very much do like it. It reminds me of the past few decades in Asia. And is more often seen in smaller cities far from places like Bangkok. Maybe in Lao?
I hope this look never goes away!!!

I should have mentioned that the wearing of these dresses is not unique to Thailand, but have been very popular in some other places in East Asia.
They used to be worn all the time while riding motorbikes pillion behind the man, or sidesaddle with skirts blowing in the wind on the way to work.
Here is what I mean, but this time in India.....
This lady is fine for me now, but could not have compared to the girls I used to love to watch on motorbikes, riding sidesaddle with flounces flying high.
