Thailand being about 11 hours ahead of NYC, people here are fortunate they are able to listen to WQXR's solid uninterrupted nightly music programming in the daytime, Bangkok time.
This is really the best the United States has to offer.
If you don't like it, then you are either not a classical music fan or
You might as well just go jump in the lake,
If you expect to find something better down there.

She is a perfect SeaVision of beauty.
But, yes, that is sort of the look I was remembering.
My thinking is that the style arrived at by girls here and there, is sort of an amalgam of traditional East and contemporary West.
All the girls look nice. But they seem to not go all the way so quickly to become completely westernized in their dress.
This leaves them being sort of a part of both sides, with a look all their own.
I do see this look often in offices and about town. The only time it seems strange is very early in the workday when the girls come in with liberal dashes of perfume sprinkled here and there. I very much do like it. It reminds me of the past few decades in Asia. And is more often seen in smaller cities far from places like Bangkok. Maybe in Lao?
I hope this look never goes away!!!

Yes, of course.
But I am still looking for the correct image.
If you have one, or can find a few, I would =really= appreciate your posting here.
The images from Taiwan would need to be captured roughly pre-1980 to truly depict the style I am referring to.

You see? Here I am on the cover of "Life", driving.
This is Taiwan, decades ago.
When we were more civilized.
A slower paced more fun existence.
I am still looking for the ball gowns on motorbikes images.
If you are a passenger in a passing cab, you get a great view.
I love the old days.

I should have mentioned that the wearing of these dresses is not unique to Thailand, but have been very popular in some other places in East Asia.
They used to be worn all the time while riding motorbikes pillion behind the man, or sidesaddle with skirts blowing in the wind on the way to work.
Here is what I mean, but this time in India.....
This lady is fine for me now, but could not have compared to the girls I used to love to watch on motorbikes, riding sidesaddle with flounces flying high.

Wyoming is truly a beautiful gem of a state.
If you can't be in Thailand, then the next best place may be Wyoming.
Just watch out for the rattlers, and snakes.

Krisb,
No, I am not saying you "shouldn't post if you are not in Thailand".
What I am saying is that if you are not in Thailand, you shouldn't not post.
And I don't hope you will not, but prefer that you do.

Whatever a young lady chooses with care from her wardrobe as she readies for the office, I am always very appreciative of the time she spends to make herself look nice for the rest of us. She provides a lift in the morning to those who appreciate her beauty as we begin another workday grind.
I have found, in Thailand, that some girls enjoy wearing ball gowns to the office or workplace, and they also often use liberal amounts of perfume and makeup. By ball gowns, I mean dresses that almost touch the floor, and hang down from the waist with flounces.
Is this an accepted office fashion which is not really appreciated by management?
Has anyone noticed this local sartorial proclivity for the extreme?
I cannot seem to find an image of what I am looking for on Google.
The closest thing I can come up with is this image which only approximates what I am referring to.
Good Day

"True but why would anyone be so perversely motivated?"
I do not choose 'perversely' to describe it.
It is intriguing why some are so motivated.
We all tell a story, and come here to hear one.
The better the story, the better the writer,
The more I, personally, prefer it.
Those writing from outside Thailand, whether on holiday or extended leave or those who have never been to Thailand, I find it interesting to read their comments about Thailand.
And those who have just left Thailand seem to have the most interesting stories to tell, in retrospect.

Well you might be a pretender if you were not living in Thailand but intentionally posted in such a way as to mislead readers into assuming that you were living in Thailand.
You would then be pretending.

The Art Of War is a great book but I think the real challenge might be learning how to apply it in life.

If you wish to substitute the word "being" for "living", please be my guest

Being wellread means never having to say you're guilty.

"trying to identify a baseline for your OP"
If you are going to press me on this issue, then I would say "living" is more than just existing.
But in this case, please feel free to use your own definition of 'living', and then please comment accordingly.
Thank you.

If you were a troll, then this could not go on forever.
Right?

MOVING TO THE PUB??????????????
It seems it is another Saturday night and SeaVisions has a long evening ahead keeping posters in line.
I do not envy anyone this task.
When does he sleep?
Great Avatar image by the way.
Anyone working with primates such as we TV Posters requires plenty of patience.

Thank you!
I should have known I could count on a cowboy to tell me about New Mexico.
-
Well then, can I be helped?
I mean, can you help me?
If I say I like your cat?
-
Please don't stick me with your thing.

Yes, this is actually not a humorous topic. Resistant TB will be visiting us soon, perhaps.
Antibiotics were the true miracle medicine of the century, no the millennium.
To think that they may lose much of their efficacy will be a travesty of the first order for everyone, not to mention the Navy Types who seem to have a girl friend in every port, and often not enough sense to put a lid on it.
(Speaking of "clap ping").

There are many reasons why Los Alamos is more fun than Los-Thailand, besides the Manhattan Project, but no correct answer.
One answer per customer, please.
Or, if you live in Thailand, then why would you enjoy visiting Los Alamos?

Mong Kok, or Somewhere.

Loud Music In Restaurants?in Thai And Other Place In Asia!

"Try living in the villages in Thailand...
Music from 530am - 10pm, sometimes 12 on a regular basis!"
Try living in China, there it is the government which is doing the blasting of the music, and much more, whether anyone likes it or not.
And it is piped in almost everywhere in some places.
It is as if the music becomes part of the very landscape in which you live.
Very pervasive and objectionable.
