find the comment that the Chinese tourists tended to frequent Chinese businesses, a bit strange
I find your comment more than a bit strange, open eyes, sure there are exceptions , but the facts are the facts.

In her video, the Chinese woman tells followers that while standing in Soi Nana at around 11.30pm at night, she was approached by a foreign man.
Was he not from China ? Or not from Thailand? Or both or what?

One hell of a thick wallet. With the largest Thai bill = 1000 THB he had to have had at minimum 40 bills in Thai currency and probably at least 10 Japanese 10,000 yen bills. So that is 50 bills in one wallet? pocket? My wallet get bulky with 10 or more bills, and if I had 50 it would close.

suspect had been walking naked around Naklua in a state of outrage
Maybe he had to sell his clothes to make sure he had enough money to pay the new tax. Maybe Russia doesn't have a double taxation agreement with Thailand. That could account for the state of outrage.

Not for the "average expat pensioner", it isn't!
You can be a deaf, dumb, and blind homeless beggar and do it. Avg expat pensioner has nothing to do with it.

These things mean that the average expat pensioner must earn over 400k baht, before they begin to pay tax at 5%.
And that (400k baht) is just ONE stock trade.

he way that I would expect this to work is that you compute total Thai taxes due on your gross income, you are then allowed to deduct from that total any taxes already suffered, leaving a net amount payable in Thailand. Please note that if the taxes paid elsewhere exceed the Thai taxes then no refund is due!
How do they know your gross income?

Just a few simple google searches would have revealed that it's not only dangerous for people to ride elephants, it's extreme cruelty to the elephant.
Is this the new and improved EU google search? I thought riding them into battle was what was bad, but OMG taking them for a joy ride along the river and give them food... And someone was thinking of It is time to abolish the death penalty in Thailand. What are they thinking about?
