So, presumably, you think that every country should be making arrangements to vaccinate all it's citizens wherever they may be? A logistical nightmare.
Or do you think that is it just Americans, worldwide, that should be looked after in that special way?
I think those that can should and those that can't will be bailed out by you know who.

This so much BS , not so much on the government's side but there is no way anyone couldn't have gotten out of Thailand by now. These "foreigners who are still stranded in Thailand" are milking the system and not meeting the requirements , like ins. and 800k baht in the bank. The real contributors to Thailand are the stead fast retirees. When will the Thai gov't understand that? I guess when we leave.

Last time I checked the US Embassy does not provide vaccination or any other medical services.
Last time I checked the world was not in the grips of a pandemic. And I believe someone said similar things but invading Europe before D-Day.

It is not about getting a free shot- it is about the deplorable way the Embassy is not helping in this crisis. You are missing the point. What if next time it is a genocide issue, and that is not in there little book of instruction?

Oh dear, please I am an American in Thailand, living the good life and I want my country , where I left looking for a better life to vaccinate me . Oh dear poor unintelligent ignorant Americans, wake up this is the real world, why the hell would a country if fact any country vaccinate their people who have left . So sorry now Americans know they are no longer the best or the biggest or even the most democratic of countries, suck it up and wait just like the rest of us . Grow a set and become men .
Maybe helping as a foundation volunteer for no money makes one a ball-less wonder, or teaching for next to nothing, or spying? Not everyone is ..." living the good life"... Some are trying to contribute to unfortunate Thais to give them a better life.

Maybe they are only concerned for all the people in Thailand and everyone who gets the vaccine then 1 less chance of a variant.

It is not to take care of the ordinary joe on most important matter. Only you can get help to order a new passport, add pages to your passport or just register you infant or get a paper notarized... with kick and screaming they are obliged to perform these duties. That is it all.
Your so full of it , these are not normal times. We are at war with a virus, and Embassies should do more than sit on there asses and tell everyone it is not in their job description. Check out cold war Embassies for an example, or WW II ? Different war different activities/responsibilites.

Then you do not know the IRS. And if they are in such a low income bracket that the law says they do not pay now, well that's the law. But I'll bet they paid lots when they working.

Don't we all but what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? You people don't seem to understand once everyone, everywhere no matter how get vaccinated then the poor and hungry all over the world will be on a better path to riches and buffets.

If the pandemic poses an imminent threat to Americans then the State Department would deploy it's ultimate overseas tool: the NEO program, Noncombatant Evacuation Operations. If the pandemics gets really bad the US Embassy in Bangkok would offer all Americans a chance to evacuate(of course it would not be free). In essence Americans who want to be evacuated would pack one carry on bag and meet at a designated meeting point and fly out to the US or the nearest safe country.
I didn't realize you were reading IndiaVisa or BrazilVisa and keeping up with the American Expat's efforts in those countries to get the US Gov't off its ass and do what it should do for all Americas.

I hope this is not too far off topic but the CCSA announcement is part of this thread. (As boring and propaganda filled as the briefings are they do spend 5% of the time giving useful information.) But what I want someone who knows to tell me – what criteria do they use for the number of daily “recoveries”?
Is it calendar based? Count 14 days and you are listed as recovered? (On Wednesday, 2,063 patients were diagnosed recovered and were discharged from hospitals
and prisons,????) Or do they merely take your temperature and say go free my son. Do they do an actual PCR test and find negative results? Or is there a guy in the back drawing numbers out of a hat? Like the winner today is – pick a number-??? -

Yes, there's such a high chance of dying as a result of Covid, eh?
So sad some people don't read about the science.
Or those who don't think 3,478,614 deaths matter.

It is actually a bit impressive that this is happening.
Should I email the British Embassy and ask them when and where I will get mine?
Shame on the Biden Administration. Oh, but wait, Breaking News: Biden hails ceasefire, vows US will help Gaza with humanitarian aid. Boy I was worried he might help Chinese victims in Wuhan instead of US tax paying citizens living over seas.

I think Ohio is giving those who get the vaccine a ticket for a million dollar lottery for only those getting the shot. And for younger ones a free college year or at least semester. Stick or carrot ? What ever works, let's just make it work.
