  3. We have recently returned and upgraded to business. We went LGW to BKK via DXB. We upgraded the LGW DXB leg when checking in online via a promotion offer (couldn't upgrade any other way as tickets were booked via 3rd party company) for 3 of us it was £1300. Great experience, could not fault it at all. On our return we upgraded the BKK DXB leg of the flight, it costs us £2300 for the 3 of us on a shorter flight than the one we upgraded previously. On this occasion, although good, it was not as good an experience as the first time. The A380 this time was older, not as comfy, the lay flat bed did not lay flat completely as the previous one did. So, the airport upgrade cost us more, for the shorter flight and was not as good an experience as our first upgrade.
  4. Something in this too, possibly burnout or stress or similar. When home, I'm up at 6, get kid ready for school, back at 8:30 and straight to work, finish around 5, 7-9 football training for my son most nights too. Pretty stressful job, possible burnout in my case or just stress. Doctors always say depression and try to give anti depressants all the time without actually listening.
  5. Me all over, hate mornings and waking, never feel fresh after a night's sleep but come the evenings, I feel totally fine ????????‍♂️ just a night time person I guess. I put it down to the endless night time partying when I was in my teens and early twenties, up all night, sleep all day on the beach. Never been able to get out of that though despite no longer being out all night or even out for that matter.
  6. Thanks for all the replies. Will go back to Asia to try understand why he can't play there and then try alternatives. Many thanks again ????
  7. Thanks for the replies. Asia hotel say no children and that he too young. My son has played a lot but is more used to the shorter courses and hasn't yet mastered using the driver or similar clubs, hence why the shorter pitch n putt courses are better for him.
  8. Hi all, Does anyone know of any shorter pitch n putt type golf courses around Jomtien/Pattaya that also allow 14 year olds to play? We tried the Asia Hotel one but they won't let my 14 year old play, even though he has played for a long time and is fairly good. We did play a 9 hole course in Buri Ram which had full length holes but he is not quite ready for full size just yet. Many thanks. Lee
  9. The Pig and Whistle is always good for breakfasts, price varies on size you want. They did rename it when but I can't remember what to, u think it was an Irish Bar name but it's not like an Irish Bar. It's in Jomtien, just down from Thepprasit Road junction and Tops supermarket, on the other side of the road.
  10. We stayed in a condo recently but we usually rent a house. It's our family (3 of us) and then her mum and dad come to stay with us, sometimes her neice. In a hotel we would need 2 or 3 rooms, in a condo (or house) we can all stay together and spend time together. Simple as that really. You also get more privacy. Each to their own.
  11. Someone here might be able to answer this, as I am visiting soon I am wondering whether to bring GBP and change to THB when there or, should I change to USD and then THB when I arrive?
  12. Hi all, Not sure if this is the right place to post? I usually travel with family couple times each year for a month and bring my vape pen with me. Usually carry it on myself with 2 spare batteries and liquid in my hold luggage (batteries tapes on top and wrapped in socks and out in shoe). When i vape i do it very discreetly and never had a problem in the last 3 years on the trips we have had. Last year i heard they were talking about banning them, but that turned out to be import but you could bring your own for personal use. Is that still the case? Thanks.
