Some people never learn and consider themselves the teacher of others, in matters they were not involved in.Some people never learn !!Thinking with his small head not his big head. !!DOH!!

When an organization is rife with corruption, a bottom-up and top-down reorganization is in order. Singapore took that direction in the 1960s and 70s.
Today, they are a model for the other ASEAN members.

It appears "war" has been declared on the corrupt and not just those hiding behind and benefiting from the wearing of uniforms.
Not to mention relieving them of power too.. Seems war has been declared on the policeEnjoy your new home.
Must be ultra-frustrating to be locked up for stealing by people who will probably eventually steal everything you stole.
Not everyone thinks this is about stopping corruption. This is about finding people the powers that be can relieve of certain money and possessions.

I am not the judge. I am merely an observer. Not a chance, but no doubt plenty here will believe its all about cleaning up corruption.
Yeah the corrupt cleaning up corruption.

Compassion for the misfortune of others is in short supply. I hope he man gets his property back and the crooks are sent to prison.

People hasten to judge in order not to be judged themselves.

A persons face bears no relationship to their honesty or lack thereof. So is the same with postings of wisdom.look at the man's face.....there is a big X over his face ,can you see this ?
His body language says :" i know i'm no good "
I don't profess to know-all-see all. I'm not in charge nor do I sit in judgement on any issue.

An analysis from afar may be correct in part, but often times does not tell the "whole story".Finally some words of wisdom coming from North Korea. He might be a dictator but he definitely is right on his analysis of the States.

I try not to judge those that drink nor those that don't. It works better for me with that mindset.Good, ban the sales alcohol to all those damn drunks. They can't go two days without a drink. What a damn shame.

No apologies from this off-white guy...LOL.The white apologists will be popping into the room soon no doubt.
The New Life Ministries church with more than a hundred praying for deliverence was raided by the Thai police in BKK last week for drug and overstay was 100% Nigerian, this guy probably one of the flock, desperate to spread the faith
Criminals of any shade are most welcome to criminal justice system.

For anything positive, there are some who play a negative spin maneuver. For every negative, the spin is in reverse.
Makes no difference. The sun most likely will rise in the morning.

Perhaps writing the newspaper would help "teach" whatever it is that needs teaching.Somebody needs to teach this reporter that the word "migration" is not the same as "migrants". I thought Mr. Cameron had some kind of bird or other type of animal migratory scheme going with the EU.

A bit hypocritical, but they do have a point.
The world condemns the PDRK, but jump on the side of the US in its same abuses.
There were even members on here saying the US authorities should be shooting black protesters. That is how lame some people are.,
I believe the statements were left on the forum. So obviously common opinion.
As a US citizen, I agree that there is racism in the USA. It's not just "Black and White", but covers many shades and colors.
Aside from that, the PDRK is hardly a bastion of human rights. I would imagine that any demonstration there, regardless of basis, would be harshly dealt with.
The noise that comes from the PDRNK is meaningless and magnifies their isolated position in the world community IMO.

So many experts. So little compassion.

I believe the translation is yours. Negativism is an option exercised by some, regardless of the path taken by those in charge.English translation: Just give us time, the police have been making money for so long we have to change that as we are now in control, time for the navy to make some money!

Glad to hear that you and your Mother will be spending time together. Truely a wonderful and cherished time.Love/hate relationship with the American Military. Frequent political chaos, major unemployment problems, Terrorism, pandemic crime (without consequences), horribly violent Acts of Nature (volcanoes, earthquakes, typhoons, floods), transportation terrorism (overloaded ferries) , scams etc,.....
Nobody should be surprised of sharp downswings in their economy. Self evident.
Just be happy you are in Thailand. I survived 18 years in the PI..... I am now loving Thailand. Bringing my 90 year old mom to enjoy.
Best wishes.

This is a news article from a Bangkok newspaper. When the Gates Foundation makes an announcement and a press release, then perhaps it will be more credible.

Ate there last month. They are good, but tend to be overcooked and the meat tends to fall off the bones into a heap on the bottom of the chafing dish. That being said, the meat is tasty, as is the sauce.I think the ribs at Cherry Restaurant are pretty good. They used to have an all-you-can-eat rib night on Friday's, but that was a long time ago. Don't know if they still have that, but I believe they have the ribs as part of their International Buffet every Wednesday and Saturday.
Their website is informative and rib/food information can be found there and which days ribs are served.

Glad no one was killed or seriously injured. Speculators will do what they do.

In One-on-one situations, the aggressor is often a coward when the victim is fit and resists. Get a mob together and the violent group courage kicks in, often using anything in arms reach as a weapon. It's not a Thai phenomenon from my experience. Was in Phuket for the footy 7s last weekend a Farang took a battering in Bangla road on Saturday night. It looked like he'd given one of the ticket sellers a slap , I just saw about 10 Thais , men and women steam into him. I was with my 13 year old son , so I dragged him out of the way. When I turned around the Farang was up and was holding his own and it got broken up pretty quickly. What shocked me was the glee and ferocity the Thais steamed in with, looked like they were revved up waiting to steam into someone
