Do you have any more condos to rent Roger

No I don't personally but there are always condos for rent here.  Just a quick look up and you'll see numerous signs advertising for rent and sale.  There is a cheap place to rent over by the  Hanuman statue, pretty much a saturated market.

Try the ads on this website and also http://www.bahtsold.com/ , no shortage of inexpensive condos for rent.

How much are Subways these days, haven't had one in ages.

I've been addicted to their meatball subs lately, not bad.  Pastrami & Rye or Richman Poorman have them beat of course but as mentioned above, more options are good.

  3. I stand by my original post about the best ribs in the Pattaya area is at Jomtien at Richman Poorman Guesthouse (Corner Beach Road Soi 9, Jomtien, Pattaya, Pattaya, CB, Thailand  +66 38 233 414)

    every weekend after 12 noon.

Falling off the bone tender, juicy and very tasty.  Well worth the visit.

    Today is Ed's birthday :-).

At Udon thani office ..................the ONLY thing you need for a 90 day report is your passport. No copies of anything.

As stated by OP ....scan barcode on previous receipt , a few keyboard strokes , print out new receipt. Last visit I didnt even have to sign the new form as I previously had to.

Again , all done in less than 1 minute ( if no-one else waiting in queue)

I was actually replying to poster Roger Lee who stated he got his first extension from CHONBURI Immigration and was asking about his first 90 day report (I presumed also in Chonburi). He doesn't say whether he went to Jomtien or Si Racha but I go to Si Racha where (two weeks ago) they still required the documents I posted.

I'm well aware that different offices apply different rules but that's the latest from Si Racha in Chonburi. Still in and out in about two minutes though because these days there's no queue.

Yes, I'll be going to the Chon Buri office. I'll probably go about a week ahead of time in case there are problems.

  5. What exactly is required for the 90 day reporting? I assume it's for a non O based on retirement.

I received my visa from Vientiane and got the retirement stamp approved at Chon Buri Immigration, will be due for the 90 day next month.

Only your passport and get a number at the front desk. Never took me longer then 5 minutes.

If you're visiting immigration to do your 90 day report, as well as your passport, what you actually need to take is:

    A completed TM 47 form
Your last receipt of Notification slip that's stapled into your passport (Original)
    plus photo copies of:
    Your Passport photo page
Date of Arrival (Last Entry Stamp)
Permit to Stay Up Until (Last Visa Stamp or Extension)
    TM.6 (Arrival/Departure Card)
Of course if it's your first 90 day report you won't have a previous receipt of Notification slip stapled into your passport.

    Thanks!

  6. I experienced the same thing about a week ago at Pattaya International Hospital over on Soi 4. There was a bus that unloaded all of these Chinese and they were indeed being checked out for an unknown reason by the staff and doctor. I did notice that there were a couple of them suffering from stomach pain.

No idea, just glad to get checked out and out of there, what a zoo. Very noisy, pushy and indifferent.

  7. I've paid between 200 and 400 baht for the ride myself.

The price you paid is the going rate imho.

Lately I've been taking the baht buses, much cheaper.

  8. Had RMPM ribs tonight, tangy bbq sauce with smoked ribs, cole slaw and mac and cheese. Ordered half rack.Fantastic. Staff tell me they doon weekends, think boss will do on Thursdays to. Sure to go back!

    Do you remember the price?

Iirc half a slab is 245 baht.

Today, Sunday he's having prime rib @ 795 baht, or chicken or lamb. No mention of the ribs but worth asking about I'm sure.

  9. Hold the Fort......I would figure out when he is doing them and call him.......Dont just show up and expect ribs......if it were me I would go there for breakfast, have the eggs benedict......and then get the info. My ribs take me a day to prepare and in the low season I reckon ol Eddie is takin orders....

Lately it's been rib smoking on the weekends, along with the chicken. You're probably right to check before you go, I usually get a SMS about the ribs though.

  10. Bun Kanchana Alley and Sukhumvit Rd. in Jomtien on the corner offers many good quality mattresses at a decent price.

The owner understands English and is easy to talk to, he gives discounts also.

I live on Wat Boon Kanchana, is that the Soi you mean? Many thanks.

According to Google Maps, that's the name. It's the next through street after Thepprasit heading away from Pattaya.
