I personally wouldn't be so delighted knowing I just got jabbed with Sainovac.
Is that the same as SinoVac?

Maybe 10 things on the list, but they only do 1 at a time, today will be helmets, tomorrow licences etc. The BIB cannot multi task!

FYI: Big C is owned by BerlieJucker in Thailand and Central Pattana in Vietnam, Central Plaza is owned by Central Pattana(CPN) and not CP

What a fantastic read, thanks Rooster!
HOW did the commissioners get this approved? Outside of BKK, the commission had seen a report that said CP would have a monopoly of around 90%... The 10 remaining percent being mom/pop stores we assume, as CP owns everything else - Makro, Big C, Lotus, 7/11, Central Plaza's... the list goes on!
Talking about rich families that control Thailand, after the initial 'public outrage' that lasted about 6 weeks, we seem to have forgotten about the red bull heir who is still successfully evading police 'efforts' to find him...

Still getting it wrong, it's 14 nights, i.e 16 days in effect, but of course you start you sentence on day zero, their rules!

I wish those responsible would get their facts right, my German friend has just completed quarantine which to his surprise was 15 nights in the ASQ so 16 days in total, note they count the first day as day 0 !!

So remind me., which hotels are the 100 odd US soldiers staying in and whose paying for them? Ah yes, the Conrad and the Anantara Siam, between 90,000 -144,000 each

They are using hydroxychloriquin and an anti viral, I don't recall favipiravir being mentioned in a facebook post earlier confirming the treatment a patient had
Some 120,000 tablets of Favipiravir, an antiviral drug, will be imported for the battle against Covid-19, Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Wednesday (March 18).

What about the requirement of reporting 800,000 THB in the bank 90 days after completing the Non O retirement extension???

Correction: Central (CPN) owns Big C in Vietnam, Berli Jucker owns Big C here!

I believe that that is Immigration's long term plan. To have one app that you click on arrival and share location to say you are back in Thailand (replacing TM6 Arrival Card), then click again to share location for your change of location when you leave home (replacing TM30) and ultimately share location for 90 day reporting.

American, but its the same newish e-Visa program for both the UK and USA.
Is there some reason you think the Brits would have an especially hard time getting the e-visa compared to all the other countries eligible?
Historically the UK gave Indian Nationals an incredibly hard time with visas and passports which might explain why the UK was added to the list after all other nations.
-
The UK was left off the list until very recently hence my question
-
Are you British?

Thinking of going to Indian, but hate the hassle of the embassy/IVS service in BKK. Checked on the Indian website and it says there that UK citizens can apply on line.
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html
The BKK Embassy says you still need to go there in person. http://www.indianembassy.in.th/pages.php?id=34
Has anyone managed to get one online?

PEA up and running after 30 hours despite the devastation, True Internet needless to say took 5 days to get their system restored. (3BB back in 3 days I believe)
Phoned them everyday to check progress and every day they promised it would work that evening....lies after lies.
So True needs to rename themselves: "UNTRUE INTERNET SERVICES" !!

22 power pylons destroyed in Pattaya sukhumvit soi 89, 30 hours later the PEA had erected 22 new ones and the power was restored.
So we know now there is at least one good utility company in Thailand.
Well done PEA!

Why is the Thai Met Office so incompetent I can get a better weather forcast from Norway!
Try http://yowindow.com/ it really does give an accurate local weather forecast,
ps I am not Norwegian, just someone looking for a real forecast!!

Still running, but only on the internet!

I am sure this must have been asked many times before, but I have searched and could not find anything!
Does anyone know where the post office keeps the magic map that turns Thai addresses into street numbers and easy locations, as per anywhere in the West.
This nonsense of estate number/house number, moo number, tambon/amphur does not make it easy to find somewhere.
I am convinced it is another fiendish ploy to confuse everyone...and they have suceeded.
So where is the magic code breaking map?

Had a red City, difficult to sell ....Thai's only like black, white or silver. My buddy had a silver Jazz one year older than mine but got more for it despite my City having less than half his mileage and in better condition!
Bought a silver CX5 and am very happy with it. But had a small knock ...silver easy to match and repair, my buddy now has a red M3 also had a bump, but only place to repair is BKK.
The red is beautiful but has its costs!
Unbelievable to say Mazda Thailand cannot do body repair work, "TIT"
Government claims its liquor policy is in the public interest

Very small brewpubs (100L)can open easier now but larger, for example, 200L brewhouse will now be harder as they need a new license from industrial department. It's like they unlock some rules and add new rules. They tell people to they have unlocked the rules but don't tell you that additional rules are harder to overcome. They cap the energy consumption limit at 37kW, but a 200l system needs 30kW just for the brewing process, never mind the pub.
