You surely will be. I found the locals to be much friendlier there but the price/quality of accommodation and food sucks + bad transportation and infrastructure... I love vacationing there but I wouldn't want to live there long time. 

Lock down Bangkok! There are too many of them here in Pattaya causing huge traffic problems as their driving skills are usually very bad 😉

Very spot on! I think the news reasoning and also the changed attitude of the Thais towards us because of the daily stupid news has a lot to do why tourists decide not to visit Thailand anymore...
