  1. I really start to think that it's up to the girl and her family how you feel out in the sticks.

I used to have a 4 years relationship with a bkk girl whose grandmom was living in Prachinburi. It was always awful everytime she asked me to go there a few days with her. Even one day was too much and very boring. Her family was also very judging and strict. Smoking or having a beer in the garden was a no go.

Now I am dating a girl from Surin - Esan whose mom is my neighbor in Pattaya but the girl is living with her 2 brothers in some small town near Surin as she is doing an internship as a teacher at a local school for her last year of university.

It's always fun to be there as her brothers are just great. They like to barbeque with friends in the evenings and play music. It's always nice to make jokes with them and we even go on motorbike trips and camping together on weekends.

It may be because she is living there alone with her 2 brothers without parents. But I never felt bored at all.

  2. Where I come from the government has to find ideas to force people to get vaccinated as by now the remaining don't want to get the jab.

Me too I just made it because I would like to enter Thailand without quarantine in September though the box.

No one is getting vaccinated for fear of the virus. More for fear of a vaccination pass that will take the unvaccinated freedoms away.

what about tests when leaving, and how about treatment as if and when needed, after exposure to a 95 % or so unvaccinated population ?

Test when leaving is up to the destination country.

Treatment I don't really understand what you mean but anyway you need to be covid insured to enter so that answers your question.

Exposed to a 95% unvaccinated population, omg I didn't know unvaccinated equates infected...

  4. I would stick at no paying any dowry. If she or her family is not okay just do not marry.

You are not a Thai and it is your girlfriends fault if she choosed a foreigner.

And also... Have you ever heard of a Thai man paying sinsod to his farangs bride family?

I never heard of something like that.

  5. I had a completely other experience but I went there for the covid extension and not a 90 days report.

As I saw the 90 days reporters get prioritiezed and can skip the line when an officer comes and asks who wants to do the 90 days reports. For those who make the covid extension I recommend to go a few days if not a week in advance to be sure to even get the possibility to enter the office.

Been here 2 months already and it's very relaxing...just follow a few simple and widely posted PANDEMIC control restrictions like large social gatherings in public and consuming alcohol in groups. Is that SO hard? (All you alcoholics...just drink at home.)
