He has the ability to just take the quarantine away and allow tourists to enter with a negative pcr test same as in several other countries so that nobody needs to give their utmost.

I am really worried now that this advise came so late... since the start of the pandemic I have been twice in Thailand, Italy, Mexico, turkey and Bali always sleeping around like a monkey and never wearing mask while doing so and they just tell me now that it's dangerous after 1,5 years of covid? ????????

I would stick at no paying any dowry. If she or her family is not okay just do not marry.
You are not a Thai and it is your girlfriends fault if she choosed a foreigner.
And also... Have you ever heard of a Thai man paying sinsod to his farangs bride family?
I never heard of something like that.

I had a completely other experience but I went there for the covid extension and not a 90 days report.
As I saw the 90 days reporters get prioritiezed and can skip the line when an officer comes and asks who wants to do the 90 days reports. For those who make the covid extension I recommend to go a few days if not a week in advance to be sure to even get the possibility to enter the office.

And you've had a serology test since to verify that you've never had Covid? Because there is such a thing as asymptomatic Covid.
Yes. I went to check twice during the period when they were positive.

I spend last January bringing food and eating everyday lunch with my covid infected parents (obviously without mask). Didn't catch anything and would me more than happy if I wouldn't have to wear a mask altogether.

Wow! The 40.000 baht fine is much more scary than the virus this government so much wants to save us from...

I bring it to the mechanic shop. Let him do some maintenance like new paint and tell him see you in 3 months. When I come back the bike always looks like new again!

This Ultra paid TAT experts look at the whole from the wrong point of view. The Thai point of view.
Western tourists don't give a <deleted> if there were 2.000 or 10.000 infected on Phuket in the whole.
What they care is a holiday without hoops to jump trough to start the holiday and the most important is no one wants to be hassled by police for stupid things like having a beer, light up a cigarette or meeting with friends. So dear experts. Go study more and come back when you researched the market better!

I have a theory on why we have had more positive tests recently, but since I must cite sources for my opinions or characterizations, I will leave that to your own speculation.
A lot more and free testing for thais who think they might have been at risk than before April is my speculation.

How do you know they are on holiday?
Because otherwise they wouldn't walk near the beach... The are obviously not working.

I'd fine them for not wearing shirts in public as well!
Nobody needs to see that.
They are on holiday and by the beach. You are ridiculous!

Well... if they exclude farangs from jabbing than they should also exclude farangs from the mandatory mask wearing or other covid related rules.

If they lockdown than they also shouldn't allow the koh larn locals to come to Pattaya. Otherwise they could bring their diseases to here.

Less than 1 percent and mostly people on retirement or chronic medical conditions (which would include me).
If in the past it was acceptable to send people in their late teens and twenties to die in a war than sorry the pragmatism but I find it really acceptable to sacrifice that small percentage (note I am in the high risk group too).

I have been in koh chang when covid started in Thailand last year and the people there were absolutely going crazy out of fear from everyone who was not an islander. Even local expats there were looked at with suspicion.
I am sorry to say but with this mindset of the locals this island really don't desevere to have any tourists at all.
Going crazy for a few covid positives. What a joke.
And if there is covid in every province I don't actually see the point in shutting down some.
Haven't all this lockdowns in Europe proved they aren't working at all?

Oh dear. Well, I have found one absolute treasure, in my eyes. She dresses conservatively, she is a nurse bit she has an unorthodox beauty to her.
I'm on question 10 now, she has only asked "what job you do?" I'm a teacher but I also run a small fintech business from home (Australia) , so I don't think my profession is off-putting.
I don't want to give this one up. I'm so, so picky. I have about 200 girls I don't like back on Tinder.
Come on dude! What are you losing time for? Thing about a nice place to go near home and ask her to go there with you!

We need to lockdown the roads as soon as we reach a critical point or maybe reduce the allowed driving hours.

I don't know but everytime I have a girlfriend I start to feel bored and sad.
I prefer much more being single (but not alone, just changing girl every time I want to go out or dinner or on a trip) and I enjoy my "freetime" sometimes and the not having to be afraid everytime I look at my phone or having to entertain someone.
It actually also costs much less than having a girlfriend.
How is the saying?
Gf = double expenses and half fun

I choosed to live in Jomtien and especially during this pandemic times I am happy that I do as it's not as dead as central Pattaya due to the many locals and the beach live is also better as there are more thai families and less hookers on or nearby it.
The distance from the action can be a positive or a negative, but if you are a resident it's a good thing, because you don't get tempted to go out drinking everyday.
My way of going out is anyway more going to restaurants with a girl than barhopping and Jomtien has a lot of restaurants to choose from.

He first should refuse his monthly salary and give it to unemployed hotel workers until Thailand isn't reopened... Than maybe he can come back and talk again.
