  1. The route of the problem the government needs to solve is probably the ridiculously cheap fares taxis in Bangkok can charge when they regularly use the meter.

I understand we are in Thailand but a 200 - 300 baht for a 15 km ride is simply not justified. I like cheap things but for this one service I honestly think the price should be higher.

What we all forget is we just ride one way but the cabs mostly have to return to their starting point (due to assigned taxi waiting spots), the gasoline, the buying of a car, the regular changing of tires, maintenance of the car, the risk and responsibility a driver has if he incures in an accident with a customer inside and last the price of a regular license to do the job - which Bolt doesn't have).

  2. Hahaha lucky boy! I wish I ever had someone sponsoring my vacation in Pattaya.

I think coco fitness is a nicer gym than Tony's anyways there will be no problem to find Hotels near gyms as there are plenty of gyms in Pattaya.

Instead of the "coconut bar" girls I would suggest him as a 24 year old to visit "Thai pubs" such as yes pub, area39 or garden168 so that he can get laid for free if his game is a little bit okay.

The sad truth is, most countries charge tourist more than locals.  If you travel in the USA, even if a citizen, cross a state line and visit a state park, you will pay higher entrance and usage fees than locals will.  Go to any public beach and locals will have parking stickers allowing them to park for far less.  Go to almost any museum or public attraction in the US or Europe, locals pay less than outsiders.  Even US National Parks charge Non-citizens higher fees.

Yes that right... funnily I know only my town where tourists have privilege over locals. For example the public busses are free for tourists. Locals have to pay 3 € a day.

Policy and travel restrictions is on the CCSA and the Thai government and has nothing to do with Koh Chang people.

You are wrong my friend. Early this year Trat Province had a rule that you could only enter their islands following a negative pcr test or coming from a "yellow" province.

About the people there just see what happened with the non touristy salad pet/kok areas of the island. They didn't allow outsiders to enter and that's not ccsa or government policy.

  5. I have a big bike and am using the usual Thai bike license I have.

I also don't understand what changes as in Europe the bike licences are subdivided in 3 types already A1 is for up 125 cc, A2 is up to 500 cc and A3 is over.

When I got my eu license converted to Thai my EU one clearly showed A3 so I guess when this special bike license comes out it will also just be a matter of conversation.
