That guy is totally incompetent and dumb. The volunteer would do a much better job as the police chief of Bkk. Prayuth should sack this incompetent man immediately, or at least transfer him to a position where he doesn't need to use any brain power.
-
Prayuth's credibility is on the line here. The fact that it has already gone to trial has already diminished his credibility.
-
They wouldn't need to execute many before the corruptin levels would drop dramatically. However, I don't think there will be any enforcement of these new laws.
-
These two are heroes, and Prayuth has very little credibility left. All the cheap talk about reform, and after all the scandals uncovered about the human trafficking in Thailand, they still pursue this case. This case is a classic good versus evil. The "prime minister" could easily stop this crazy case, but instead he lets it continue, which means he supports it. Shame on him!

I am a Permanent Resident in Singapore, but not via the investor scheme. If you can afford to throw those millions on the table, you probably wouldn't worry about paying 125bht for a chicken rice at a food court or almost 3,000,000 bht for a Toyota Vios that costs 500K in Thailand (not joking).
In general, singapore has over the last couple of years become much more restrictive of issuing PR's and other types of visas. Yes, they are still quite liberal, but not quite like before. And yes, in theory permanent residency is permanent, BUT the re-entry permit is only renewable for 5 years at the time, which means that without it, you can't leave singapore without losing your PR.
One more thing, if you are a PR and you have male children who also are PRs, they will have to do two years of national service (army) in Singapore. No exceptions.

Its about time this crime infested industry took a hit. Criminals refusing to "go to work"? The Thai government should be happy that the crimes stop, at least for a while. Imagine if Myanmar drug lords used the same logic as thai fishing boat owners. Would we be happy? Of course.

The similarities to North Korea are getting more and more evident.

The law is NOT the law in Thailand. Prostitution is illegal and so is riding a bike without helmet is illegal. The majority of the police force is breaking the law. The Ref Bull heir and many of the rich and famous get away with breaking the law all the time. There is hardly any real rule of law in Thailand, just the rule of money and connections.
-
Prayuth should NOT interfere in the Japanese judicial process. Thailand doesn't like foreigners interfering in Thailand, so then the Thais should keep out of other countries affairs. If anything, this crooked ex-police should be arrested in Thailand for having an illegal gun and bringing it onboard a thai flight.
-
He should be charged inThailand for bringing the gun onboard a plane in Thailand. This crook should not get of the hook this time.

I can't believe all the idiots here who who are of the opinion that she was drunk or has to go to jail. You don't know. If anything, the few facts we have points to an accident were the drivers fault had been minimal, except for possible speeding. The interference of the bike and placement of the victim's car seem to support that.
The worst part is the fact that she was "allowed" to go without testing for alcohol, but that is normal privilege given to the elite in Thailand.

Villa Market now has the McEwan's Export, which is not too bad. The rest of the McEwan's offered at Villa are not that great according to my taste.
I which they would add some of the Adnams beers and Whychwood though

These criminals stealing from school kids should be sentenced to death. I am serious.

So he is protecting a fugitive? He should be investigated himself to see if he is only "following laws and rules".
-
Why is that thug and criminal wearing a police uniform and equipped with a gun and badge?
It says everything about Thailand and the thai goverent when they accept crimes and criminals in the police. These are the people who should be in jail and not in a uniform.

I have never seen draught Abbot ale in Thailand. From the Greene King family I have seen the Old Speckled Hen and GK IPA.
-
Oh! That's interesting! Which ales are offered?
According to FB;
Guinness - 199/pt
Abbots Ale - 199/pt
Fosters/Crown Gold - 120/pt
Heineken - 99/pt
Tiger - 99/pt
Magners Irish Cider - 165/pt
Abbot Ale is good and 199bht for a pint of guiness is not bad. Is the Abbot ale draught or bottle?

The defenders of prostitution are out in full force I can see. I wonder why... I assume you wouldn't be visiting or staying in Thailand if prostitution was limited. You are proving my point.
-
Good! Demolish it and sentence these mafia operators to jail for years.
-
Police showing their true colors and hedging their bets.
ALL the police tops should be investigated for crimes and corruption. All of them.

It's Thailand's own fault. For decades they have allowed Thai women to be degraded as prostitutes and whores. The world knows Thailand as a place where you can buybsex anywhere and any time. Too many decent and honest thai women are humiliated because of decades of thai government allowing prostitution and sex tourism. Prostitution is illegal in Thailand, but yet it is everywhere. Why would anyone respect such a laughable system? People around the world thinks that Thai women are for sale and have little dignity and low morals. That is the truth.
-
Finally! This is so important. No group should be seen to be above the law. It definately has a positive psychological and moral effect. AND if guilty, this man deserves a harsh penalty.
