No, I was pointing out that not residing in the UK does not necessarily mean you cannot get pension updates.
"Cannot get the yearly increase in pension if not resident in uk ".
Patently not true.
My comment was purely in regards to Thailand I know it doesn’t apply in ex EU countries

Not true at all. Most of the EU, and the Philippines and a few other places get the increases. Check out the DWP website.
Does Thailand ?

This may open up a can of worms because DWP might well ask why your uk state pension is being paid into a non uk bank account.Cannot get the yearly increase in pension if not resident in uk

If I wanted to get a COR in order to open a Thai bank account ,in order to transfer 800bt to get non o 1 year extension, would I just require same documentation?

Don’t Barclays offer offshore accounts?Im pretty sure that Lloyds do ,as I will be in this position soon and I’m sure that this was an option for me with Lloyds
-
Banks give a terrible exchange rate whereas wise give the actual exchange rate .May have to make several transfers due to maximum allowed but it’s worth investigating as you could easily save £10k on the difference between rates

The first and third question I just uploaded my passport page again, not sure about the second as I used my wife's ID. Can't see why you couldn't use a photo off your phone, I had a passport photo which I scanned with my phone and uploaded. Applied Friday and got confirmation yesterday. Didn't realise you just get a piece of paper now instead of a visa in your passport ????.
How did you get the photo to the 3mb size ,mine came up as 8mb

I’m just starting my application and as stated the instructions are useless and no help to someone struggling to upload photos and any documents. Is the onward flight option 100% acceptable by the airline?flying Eva air

I recall a template example for the invitation letter for a Thai home owner to write, for her husband or friend to visit her home. I can't remember where i saw it and can't find it in my downloads. Has anyone else seen this. It may have been on the Thai Embassy site, but i can't find it?
My daughter done one a couple of years ago .Basically wrote that I was staying at her house for a period of time and has her contact details on it pretty basic stuff

That has come up previously.
I have zero reports to base this reply on so it's a blind shot.
What you actually mean is visa exempt then with 800k in bank on day of application apply for non O retirement with no intention of obtaining a 12 month extension.
Thinking immigration would perhaps accept one wash and repeat but it's obviously a scam to circumvent the intention of pathway to extensions based on retirement.
There are some consulates (not many) that provide a ME Non O visa retirement.
Valid for one year.
I suppose you would do this if you planned on spending say 6 months a year in uk and 6 months a year in Thailand? Is this not possible?

I assume you mean visa exempt entry 30 days.
You can obtain a standard 30 day extension or if married to a Thai can obtain a 60 day extension to visa Thai spouse.
You could apply for extension virtually straight away.
Couple of weeks prior to expiry of your 30 day visa exempt entry stamp is common.
Thanks for the info .I am traveling about 500 miles north of my home so wanted to do the extension in my hometown before I leave so it looks as if I can have a couple of weeks in home and do extension before I leave. Many thanks

Why nightmare? It was the best thing since slice bread ????. No need to collate forms and documents with pics, buy MO, take it to the PO and buy stamps for mailing along with the passport. Can't use the passport to leave the country while waiting for the visa. Now I do everything from the comfort of my desk. Why it is a nightmare?
Don’t want to sound to computer dumb but I transfer photos using a usb cable .Are they stored in a file or as photos on PC so I can just click on them to upload to the application?
-
Maybe it’s easier on a computer because I suppose I’m only transferring contents of email for flight ticket ,accommodation etc

Before I waste £25 applying for an e visa can someone give me a step by step guide how to upload my documents/ photos using my iPhone 13 ?

The OP has a non O
Already has a 2 yr TDL.
For his 5 year license he will require another residence certificate.
He will have a 90 day report receipt to provide of RC application.
I was just asking because I read somewhere that some banks require a certificate of residence in order to open a bank account which will obviously be difficult if on your first non o and have to deposit the 800k in order to stay longer
-
If the bank requires one to open a bank account and you are on your first non o and haven’t done a 90 day report, confusing
-
Bring back the days when you could visit the lovely English guy at hull and sort it all out in an hour

Thai e visa impossible
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

You have the throwaway ticket option which some of the experts on here can explain to you .Basically you buy a cheap ticket out of Thailand within the 30 day VOA period so it looks like you are not staying the full 58 days in Thailand
