People booked on those Eva flights are wondering if they are still happening considering incoming flights seem to have been stopped. Seeing as these flights are maybe some of the last it is leaving a lot of people on tenterhooks. Is there any reliable source available for people to check their status.
At the moment the app states they are still operating. If no one departs into Thailand from Taiwan I see no reason why they would stop
-
I cannot understand why BA aren’t still operating. All they have to do is fly here empty and return full and charge say £700 to cover the cost of the outbound flight

-
Why doesn’t someone from BA or Thai Airways show a bit of business sense .
They could fly empty uk to Thailand but full up on return. All they have to do is put the prices up to cover the empty flight to say £500 one way
-
Can Eva still land as no one will be entering the country?

You obviously did not see my post showing a BKK LHR flight for under 14,000 Baht for next week.
Eva are charging 12500 in may
My point was that we were told to leave the country ASAP when it was obvious that some airlines would still be operating
-
So after telling everyone to leave before today and pay the increased flight prices it is now clear that several airlines are still operating
I was right to wait until may

A small fine for not doing the report within 24 hours of arrival at your residence after one is done.
If only a small fine it won’t be a problem
thanks again

Yes it is working after you wife registers for it as the possessor.
I am here for 8 weeks and I have explained the tm30 rules to my Thai family ,but they don’t seem to have any interest.Hopefully I can get back to the uk without requiring a 30 day extension. If I required an extension and went to my local IO and I hadn’t done a tm 30 what would happen?
-
Reading between the lines are they planning on extending the closure until the end of June ?I was hoping to get a flight back to uk in may .
I would expect some of the Asian airlines to still operate a service

Just added note. If in future you plan to obtain non o and then extensions based on retirement. Then if you obtain the non o at nearby Thai consulate, perhaps Laos etc, then you do not need show money came from outside thailand
I will get mine at the hull consulate in the uk before I come here to retire .A lovely British guy runs it and he is really helpful.I was just checking wether I could just get a non o now to save the hassle of numerous trips to IO if I am stuck here for longer

Just to add to ubon reply.
You will need to demonstrate that the money in your Thai bank came from outside Thailand.
No doubt that was in the link but important.
Thanks for the clarification.I wasn’t sure if the 800k was required when you initially apply .I now know the answer so thanks .To be honest I would expect some flights to the uk in may

The fee for both extension of stay is 1900 baht.
You need 800k baht in the bank for 2 months (or proof of 65k baht income) to apply for the extension based upon retirement.
So just to clarify if I convert my 60 day tourist visa to a non o based on retirement I would need 800k in a Thai bank

I don't think every stranded tourist has 800k in a thai bank to meet the financial requirement for a conversion to a Non-immigrant O Visa based on retirement. So,I guess the visits to the local immigration office for 30 days extensions will be the only way. Unless the government skips the need to apply in person for extensions based on the coronavirus. But I don't know if that will happen.
I am 56 and maybe stuck here .So I cannot just get a 90 day non o here I have have the money in a Thai bank ?

Eva are showing flights on their website from 1 may but obviously we don’t know if the airport will be open .At the moment it is hard to predict whether a one month lockdown will be enough to justify the airport opening

What is the forecast as far as air travel in April? Are they going to completely close down Suvi?
It is completely shut down for the whole of April

I am from uk and my tourist visa runs out may7 so I plan on staying here until then and hope that some flights become available after the lockdown .If not I will get 30 day extension until June ,when I expect the situation to improve
If I try and leave now I haven’t got the funds to pay for my flights home so best to stay here
-
I am due to return to the uk on Thai airways on may7th but I seriously believe these new restrictions will leave all the outcoming flights empty
I can see Thai airways and ba and Eva cancelling all flights and I may be given a 2 week notice to leave the country or else be stuck here (with no pay)
-
I am here on a tourist visa returning may 7th on Thai airways
I can only hope that enough Thais manage to travel ,from uk, here so that the routes stay open
I would not be surprised if Thai airways closes its routes and gives me maybe a week to leave or else

I am also concerned about this as currently out of the country and planning to return.
It appears to have been incorrectly reported in the press. Health certificate and insurance are required only if coming from countries categorized as "Disease Infected" i.e.:
China (include HK, Macau)
South Korea
Italy
Iran
The danger will be if they reclassify the country you are in as "Disease Infected" as opposed to "ongoing local transmission". Which could happen for some countries.
Lot of miss understanding of what is actually being said
they want as many uk tourists as possible to bolster the economy

Pretty sure this only applies to the 18 high risk countries such as Italy and spain
the uk is not currently on that list so a medical certificate isn’t required
if it was all the planes would be empty
-
Flew in from Heathrow yesterday and all the Italian and Japanese passengers were called out for questioning before they could fly
-
Also there are unclear guidelines from the uk government that you should self isolate for 2 weeks on your return to the uk .Not many employers will be happy if you take an extra 2 weeks holiday

If the tm6 information is entered on a computer they will know where you are staying.Do they then cross check with local immigration that you have done your local report?
Aviation authority extends ban on flights by another 12 days

Pretty sure Eva is still flying as no one disembarks at Bangkok .The app says the plane left on time on Sunday
