  1. Too little to late. Looking across the upper balcony of my home in the rice paddies of Udon Thani I can count 65 coms cable's of which I know for a fact 20 are obsolete - olde copper WIFI connections. One of em, mine. Only once in 23 years have I seem em pull out an old, redundant fibre multycore.
  2. Well there's a bonus, no need the employ staff to clean up after these annoying, zero Baht freeloaders with their coupons.
  3. Some time ago I had a friend caught after 4 years + overstay (I won't go into his circumstances but he was grassed up by an acquaintance) . He spent one night in the slammer, before the Udon Thani court next morning and because he plead guilty the max fine (at the time was 20K Baht) was halved to 10K and no black ban. He was transported to Nong Khai and allowed to cross the boarder to the Thai embassy in Vientiane, obtained a long term visitors visa and back home the following day. After some time he finished up on 12 month O visa extensions.
  4. Along with the 1000 or so fire fighting appliances shipped in the early 2000s. They rotted on the wharf because the vehicles, made in Thailand, were sent to Sweden (stand corrected) for fit out and Customs wanted a ridiculous import tarrif on there return. = Wackers!!!
  5. And rightfully so. The curb (with black and white stripes) parking does not belong to her rather the general public with a legally registered vehicle. Our road taxes etc. pay for roads not not her desire for customers.
  6. Yes I agree, but I had been caught out by the sodium vapor lights at BKK airport. It's 4 AM and paid a 300 Baht taxi fare I dragged out of my wallet, the driver looked at me strangely but said nothing. Was later I discovered I had stuffed the 1000 note given to me by my hotel (key deposit) amongst the 100s and they look much alike in the lighting especially if one is in a hurry. Lesson Learnt!
  7. Don't forget to tell em you are going to tax their income! Idiots
  8. Would have been very disappointed had he tried it on TW of 24 years. Wears more modesty protection than my girlfriends in the 60s-70s with their "leg-ins". Try getting them off her in the back seat of your car!
  9. Yes, back in thoes days it could only be downloaded in *.pdf format but was published in paperback about 4 years later. And as one member pointed out his surname is Leather. Sorry, = CRAFT !!!!
  10. Going back to 2001:- This is why Steven Heather's novel "A Private Dancer" Should have been compulsory reading in ALL flights to Thailand.
  11. How about taking 5 minutes and read the entire thread!!!
  12. Oh bugga!! Look at the amount of interest this statement has created in the thread I'm thinking I should have kept this knowledge to myself. Been using the Departures and Arrivals "elderly" option for 4 years now!
  13. Great timing. I'm due to return on an international flight on the 2nd May. Looking forward to the confusion in the immigration hall. Being over 70 I usually use the Thai immigration lanes, this could be a challenge!!!
  14. The insurance position should quieten some of the arm chair detectives we have on this site!!!
  15. More likely, they did a runner after realizing the restaurant would not accept their soup kitchen coupons. Misunderstanding = BS!!
  16. 22:00 hrs at night with a bike that looks like it's in street racing trim = som nom nah! Sorry to any hand wringing, social engineers.
  17. 30 years ago we received the same deal via "snail mail" from Nigeria into Aust. in a brown envelope. Obviously a scam then ---- don't these jerks ever stop or dose the market for nieve punters still exist?
  18. That'll teach em for not giving their boss a slice of the action, who by the way, must have had his head buried in the sand for the passed 18 month.
  19. Yes, I read that but I also came across this:- here is a quote from a major US Flight School. https://www.flyaeroguard.com/learn/how-to-become-a-pilot/how-long-does-it-take-to-become-a-pilot/
  20. More like 10 years or more within major western airline (jet aircraft).
  21. Certainly hope the residence of the Bangkok Hilton have a "code of ethics" that will deal with this pig!
  22. I'm also using Chrome, this morning I switched to "incognito" mode and was able to get access to their site. Will try Firefox. Still can't get access on my Samsung smartphone even in "Secret" mode. I have tried clearing cookies. I did find an email address and sent them my problem:- sales(at)wizztv.co.uk
  23. There is the problem, I can't get into their site!!!! BTW. I have found an email address to their sales department so will try to go down that route. Thanks all for your input.
  24. I wonder what made the camera operator decided to follow the bike? It's no wonder bikes, samlors etc. drive against the flow with the BS "U" Turn mentality with very long divisions in the roads in Thailand.
