  1. Thank you Mike, I have many friends, living in the Issan rice paddies, but work within the off shore oil industry as I did. In the early 2000's I (no, they) payed Thai tax under a dodgy arrangement as a requirement for the work permit. Most of em do not follow this forum but hearing the rumors and getting distressed. Looking forward to reading your reports as they become available and passing them on.
  2. ASX = Australian Stock Exchange. I have a portfolio of "Blue Chip" shares each of which which pay a twice annual dividend. A *.pdf statement is available to me with each payment. As I said on page one:- "no need to get your knickers in a twist"
  3. OK maybe I should have written "the foreign income scrutiny has started" Udon Thani Imm office In 2021 all I needed was my 12 month KBank statement and letter to show 65K per month In 2022 I needed that plus my Wise receipts showing the transfers. In Dec 2023 they wanted to see where the AUD was coming from to transfer through Wise eg. Pension, Work payment notification (shlt I'm 75!!!!) etc. None of the above, I had to prove to em I was a self funded retiree so using my phone I produced a recent ASX dividend showing a payment then the deposit in my bank, then show em the AUD transfer to wise. They wanted me to transfer this lot to their printer using "Line". I told them "NO WAY" their security sucked! I did print the *.PDF of the dividend payment when TAX was mentioned. The print out did show the "Franking Credit" and I explained to them THAT IS THE TAX. The services of "Miss Dodgy Visa - Udon" is looking better every year.
  4. It's started already!! Renewed my retirement extension late Dec. using the 65K rule. New hoops, as a self funded retiree I had to show em my phone with ASX dividend payments showing tax had been payed. Only gave em one as an example and pointed out the franking credits. Had em knackered, the supervisor spent 45 minutes on the phone before they gave me another 12 months.
  5. 7864?? Don't know where they plucked that figure from. Last Tuesday, 2nd, a friend took the son of one of his farm laborer's into the Ban Dung police station to pay his fine and retrieve his impounded bike. The place was heaving, they were informed over 2000 DUI charges were laid from that station alone. The sons fine was 4300 Baht. Ban Dung is only 1 of some 23 Amphoe's in the Udon Thani province = go figure!!
  6. These brain dead "BiB" will not lift a finger unless there is something in it for em! Back in 2001 I was ripped off, by a hardware supplier, whilst building our home for 30K Baht. Had to pay the BiB 15K to get these pricks to pay restitution.
  7. What has the number of tourists entering the kingdom have to do with extensions?
  8. And who in there right mind mounts 2 x unprotected A/C units on the deck of a boat subject to salt water and offshore elements?
  9. Good to see the passengers rescued safely, very happy to read that piece of unseaworthy junk is sitting on the bottom.
  10. Well the Aviation Herald site https://avherald.com/ who monitors all things concerning mishaps in the industry has not released comment on this incident = NOT NEWS WORTHY!! or the information is so convoluted they are awaiting more detail.
  11. I think you will find that we are seeing 2 photos comparing the class seating???
  12. Easy! Dunno from where you come from but they are on most all roads in Australia and some contain ripple strips as well. Effin idiots (world wide) leaving their lights on High Beam!!! Gota have some sort of reference to follow. Edit:- As for the line painted around the obstacle. Well the hazard was hilited wasn't it? 555
  13. I feel as if I have just been left "up in the air"! Is there a chapter #2 to this story?
  14. Well if that isn't typical of the Thai mentality. Could be creative accounting but bragging about a big turn around/profits so they may have a few baht ( I doubt it ???) === "Lets spend it"
  15. Strange there is no mention of the "bar bar bor bor" (idocy) of the owner/drivers of these trucks!!!!! 20 + mirrors pointing at the driver - 12 driving lights across the roof (Bling) - and effin mud flaps protruding 30 cm outside the width of the vehicle. Goes back to the days where bus drivers had to open the screen over their engine to show that "my engine is bigger than yours" = Stuff the fact that someone could get caught up in the rotating belts === IDIOTS Som Non Nah - there is a Budda!
  16. Who, in there right mind, endangers the lives of his passengers to avoid flee bitten soi dogs. Novel excuse, at least it wasn't break failure. I agree with @ChrisY1!
  17. Same here in the Rice paddies. Was over 4 Baht and been over 5 Baht since Feb 2023 and 3.9 this month so what is this all about???
  18. See this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Midwest_Flight_5481 There have been many more!
  19. I'm thinking a number of you have got the airline intentions wrong. The way I read it they are trying to gather PAX and baggage weight in order to see if they can reduce the fuel load and in effect increase performance efficiency.
  20. Further to the ongoing W11 22H2 File Explorer UI problem:- After going through some 25 pages of various forum posts with many people fuming at the arrogance shown my MS by ignoring their pleas for UI options in many areas including the File Explorer Ribbon I found a solution that worked so well for me I bought a license within the 1st hour of their 100 day free trial. USD$4.99 An app called StartAllBack from https://www.startallback.com/
  21. Gee, it would have been nice if the driver or the ambulance transfering me from the Military Hospital to the Bankok Hospital, both in Udon Thani slowed or stopped for bananas. OK, I was not in a life threatening situation until they threw the gurney into the vehicle the idiot was driving.
  22. I only buy through Lazada and from my experience it's up to the vendor to determine which logistics company they use. I've had items delivered by some guy on a bike with side car from a company I've never heard of?? Edit:- In saying that the service was acceptable.
  23. Had nothing but GREAT service from Flash out here in the rice paddies of Isaan, normally 2 days (ex Bangkok) from online purchase to delivery at my front door. AND as above I ONLY use COD. No COD option, then it's off to another vendor.
  24. Sorry folks! I upgraded to ver 22H2 yesterday and the As## Holes have disabled the registry fix. The video @LosLobo attached still works --- for now! But cumbersome. A number of other tweaks I had in place had also been reversed. I used an app "Winaero Tweaker" - free here https://winaero.com/winaero-tweaker/ to correct this.
  25. Tried searching 77 pages of this thread without an answer:- Does anyone know how they intend to collect tax our incoming (Wise) transfers (if this BS is to be believed)? Do they expect my KBank to garnish xx% of the 65K Baht I bring in every month to satisfy my retirement extn. requirements in the form of with holding tax? As they do with the piddily amount of interest I receive!
