bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If he is not making a quid out of Ganja he is certainly capable of making a (another) fortune out of selling BS. -

I could ask why he didn't just throw it into a washing machine or loose it and just apply for a new one.- 47 replies

TAT expects up to 10 million foreign tourists to visit Thailand this year
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well we haven't had a ridiculous prediction for a couple of months now! Looks like some idiot, in that office, has just found the tourist calculator and put fresh batteries in it. -
Err what is @mokwit saying? How about editing your post to make it readable!

No disrespect George, we older generation "ThaiVisa" members much prefer the prancing leopard as an avatar over your ageing image! Good luck with the come back I, for one, certainly missed you.

Good Covid News – The End Of Restrictions In Sight
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Within our Isaan village of some 1700, total population, we have had about 450 cases over the past fortnight including my step daughter and most of TWs extended family. Firstly this tells me that the govt. reporting is absolute BS but confirms the symptoms are very mild. We put step daughter (23 yo) in isolation for 4 days until she returned 2 x negative RAT results. Only had a mild sore throat as with the rest. -

SURVEY: What are your biggest issues in Thailand?
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In order of annoyance:- 1. Lack of driver/rider skills including courtesy. 2. Police and judicial system corruption and lack of integrity. 3. Anutin. 4. Government "Flip Flops". 5. Thailand Pass and associated BS. 6. Poor road maintenance, especially in rural areas. 7. The government fixation on alcohol sales. = NO consistency! I still keep a 4 week buffer at home to cover a couple of beers after my day's activity. I can tolerate things like 90 Day reporting and jumping through Immigration hoops, no worse than most other countries. -
Don't hold your breath! Thai Smile reduced daily services to/from Udon Thani from 3 to 2 yesterday, put me on a later flight. Forced me to cancel my booking and opt for another airline to make an International connection.

Had a booster in January (my 3rd Pfizer) = Enough is enough, will take the advice of my GP in Australia when down there in June-July! Never had a flu shot in my life, will discuss that with him as well.

So we have the state of Western Australia with an area 5 x Thailands and population of some 3 million as against 67 million with similar Covid figures! That idiot Anutin has been pissing in his bosses pocket AGAIN! A quarter of the Thais in our village in the rice paddies have had it over the past 2 weeks.

Motorcyclist run over by car after coming off his bike
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
As suggested, unfounded speculation! BUT, just to add:- I have bought 3 cars during my 21 years living here and on each occasion had to "demand" the tinting contractor not to apply film to the windscreen = stupid Farang "ba ba bor bor"! -
Thailand To Start Charging An Entry Fee From August
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Will it apply to expats returning on a "Re-entry Permit" which we already pay 1000 Baht for?
