I was/am considering going down that path but using CCleaner to do a registry clean between uninstall and reinstall. I subscribe to Express VPN and by routing through Sydney at least all the sites I use (including this) are connecting and operating smoothly with a little improvement in the "Speedtest" results but still nowhere near where they should be.

I have 2 HP Notebooks connected to 3BB via the same Wifi Router. One running W10 and the other W11, both fully updated. Chrome on the W10 Notebook slowed down yesterday with a lot of sites not connecting at all. It had taken many attempts to get the "Speedtest" done. The browsing data has been completely cleared and "Chrome Settings" on both machines identical, extensions (only 1, Adobe Acrobat) off. I have activated Firefox on the W10 Notebook, imported my Chrome bookmarks and run many of the sites without problem, Speedtest is OK as well. Been to many sites looking for a solution. Any ideas here? Thank you

Must Read Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not all of us have the pink card, what's so hard about slipping your boarding pass into the passport header pages for inspection? Call me paranoid, but when travelling anywhere my passport with a thumb drive, containing my life's files (encrypted), are contained in a sealed plastic bag in a leg pocket. Just incase I survive a plane/traffic crash but loose my notebook computer. -

Thank you Mike, I have many friends, living in the Issan rice paddies, but work within the off shore oil industry as I did. In the early 2000's I (no, they) payed Thai tax under a dodgy arrangement as a requirement for the work permit. Most of em do not follow this forum but hearing the rumors and getting distressed. Looking forward to reading your reports as they become available and passing them on.

OK maybe I should have written "the foreign income scrutiny has started" Udon Thani Imm office In 2021 all I needed was my 12 month KBank statement and letter to show 65K per month In 2022 I needed that plus my Wise receipts showing the transfers. In Dec 2023 they wanted to see where the AUD was coming from to transfer through Wise eg. Pension, Work payment notification (shlt I'm 75!!!!) etc. None of the above, I had to prove to em I was a self funded retiree so using my phone I produced a recent ASX dividend showing a payment then the deposit in my bank, then show em the AUD transfer to wise. They wanted me to transfer this lot to their printer using "Line". I told them "NO WAY" their security sucked! I did print the *.PDF of the dividend payment when TAX was mentioned. The print out did show the "Franking Credit" and I explained to them THAT IS THE TAX. The services of "Miss Dodgy Visa - Udon" is looking better every year.

It's started already!! Renewed my retirement extension late Dec. using the 65K rule. New hoops, as a self funded retiree I had to show em my phone with ASX dividend payments showing tax had been payed. Only gave em one as an example and pointed out the franking credits. Had em knackered, the supervisor spent 45 minutes on the phone before they gave me another 12 months.

7864?? Don't know where they plucked that figure from. Last Tuesday, 2nd, a friend took the son of one of his farm laborer's into the Ban Dung police station to pay his fine and retrieve his impounded bike. The place was heaving, they were informed over 2000 DUI charges were laid from that station alone. The sons fine was 4300 Baht. Ban Dung is only 1 of some 23 Amphoe's in the Udon Thani province = go figure!!

Thai Airways’ sky high ambitions: Plans for 90 new jets unveiled

Well if that isn't typical of the Thai mentality. Could be creative accounting but bragging about a big turn around/profits so they may have a few baht ( I doubt it ???) === "Lets spend it" -
Highway Collapses on Sukhumvit Soi 64/1 in Bangkok [video]
bdenner replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Strange there is no mention of the "bar bar bor bor" (idocy) of the owner/drivers of these trucks!!!!! 20 + mirrors pointing at the driver - 12 driving lights across the roof (Bling) - and effin mud flaps protruding 30 cm outside the width of the vehicle. Goes back to the days where bus drivers had to open the screen over their engine to show that "my engine is bigger than yours" = Stuff the fact that someone could get caught up in the rotating belts === IDIOTS Som Non Nah - there is a Budda!
