1st they showed comprehensive on my 2016 Toyora Yaris at 342000 which i thought was in the ball park. Their last quote climbed to comprehensive of 404000. I asked them how the comp price could jump so much as my car is not 404000.

Surely those figures are the insured value rather than the price of the insurance?

They probably just selected the wrong year for the quote, or were using a different insurance company which applied a different value. I had exactly the same experience when getting quotes from other brokers several years ago.

In fact to get cover of 404,000B instead of 342,000B is to your advantage, not to your disadvantage.

The router I have in bridge mode says the 5G goes to 830 Mbps.  But I'm getting no more than 500 and I don't know why.

I know why and I kindly shared my knowledge with you the other day.

Quoted equipment speeds are theoretical maxima in perfect lab conditions. You will never achieve this in practice and that goes in spades for wifi figures. Forget about it.

My daughter said she will fill it in and send it off but if checks are made i have been here nine years it

could open a can of worms .

I dont see why it should be a problem. I have been filling those in for several years.

That must be some rule in the building which doesn't allow changing the cables.

On my condo only True, AIS and CAT are allowed, and all of them use the cable that belongs to the building.

That would indeed apply in buildings that have fibre pre-installed. But any building more than about 5 years old is very unlikely to have any existing fibre installation.

Of course if the fibre is pre-existing then there would be even less reason for them to refuse to work on it above the 3rd floor.

  5. I used freeze-dried starter for my first batch and ever since then I have just been using the last yoghurt of the old batch to start the new batch.

I think for your soy yoghurt I would definitely try using a tub of live supermarket yoghurt to get it going, if you cant get the freeze-dried starter.

  6. I'm just thankful that Thais always park as near to where they are going as possible as this usually leaves plenty of room on higher floors or on the far side of the car park.

I am happy to walk 100 yards if it means I can park with no one next to me.

  7. You are aware that no committee member can serve more than two consecutive terms (ie 4 years) unless no one else stands for election? So in theory you can always get shot of any member(s) after 4 years.

It is quite common for AGMs to have an initial vote to decide the size of the next committee though there is no written legal requirement for such a vote in the Condo Act. There may be such a requirement in the by-laws, but you say that in your case there is not. Some Land Offices seem to like to see a vote for 3-5-7-9 members, and they may object if there isn't one.

If the current committee had 5 candidates then even if you also elected 4 more (the maximum) their 5 would still have voting control in committee meetings, so no huge advantage for you there.

Your best bet would be to contact other co-owners who never attend meetings and get their proxy votes. That should allow you to elect a different committee, even if the proxies only amounted to a couple of percent of the total.
