The only two Amorn shops that are still open are the Hang Dong shop and the shop at the Tuk plaza on the northside of the moat. The shops at the Lotus across from Meechoke Plaza and the Big C on the Superhighway are now gone.

When did they start doing retirement extensions at Central Festival? Never have in the past.

Was at Central Festival immigration this morning at 1100 and pretty quite for all services with only half the chairs taken in the main hall. Give it a go you may be surprised but avoid Monday & Friday if possible and day after holidays. And yes you can do retirement extension there.

That's interesting. I used my PayPal account (I've had for over 20 years) to make an eBay purchase today - Oct. 13th. I also opened a Thai PayPal account last month, but today I used my US account. No Thai ID was requested to open the Thai account.

Yeh we will ship to you by air from London, £27.50 per box for 24 box order.
Saw it at Tops in Central Festival recently.

There are many fabric shops around Worowot market where you can choose the fabric you like and then take the unfinished sheets to a seamstress upstairs in Worowot market and they will finish them for you any way you like for very little cost. This is the best way to get bedsheets in the color and quality you prefer.

Also open at Central Festival.

Yes. It's open again. Was there last week.

To actually answer your question, Gonzo, there are many polishing compounds that can do a pretty good job of removing fine scratches from plastic lenses. I used one from 3M that worked amazingly well, but I cannot find it now. You might check-out these on Amazon. If the scratches are very fine, sometimes plain ole toothpaste can do pretty good job. If the lenses are glass it will be more difficult to remove the scratches.

Are the banks, including Bangkok Bank, all of which reside on the second floor, open at Promenada? When I shopped at Rimping at Promenada today, it looked like the escalators to the second floor were roped off? But, I didn't examine all the escalators.
Probably like at Central Festival where the escalators are closed but the elevators are working.

You can use the Yellow Book in lieu of the Residency Certificate. Right?

The smartphone app with the Mi 2S allows you to manually adjust the speed of the fan from your phone which I don't think you can do on the unit itself.

The one that's closed is your first link, Mr. Brad. I will check out the new location in Chang Phuak, Soi 2 if I get time.
The Hillkoff shop on Chang Puak Soi 2 has been there for many years.

I've bought the celery at Rimping when they have it. Excellent quality, but again, pricey.

Rimping at Meechoke Plaza and at Narawat location has it frequently. (Probably also at Promenada location.) I think it comes from Australia. Also have seen it at Tops market at Central Festival. Pricey.

Doesn't Immigration stipulate that you need to send in the original of the previous receipt?

It was explained to me by the senior IO that the land is government owned whereas photocopy shops are private so they need to have special approval from the govt first.
Once they get the approval, we will have a photocopy shop inside the compound.
They always had a copy facility at the old immigration before they moved to the Promenada. Don't see why it would be any different now.

Thailand’s Losing Its Edge — Is Vietnam the Next Real Deal?

I like Vietnam, but don't like visa runs. In Vietnam I would have to do a visa run every 90 days. In Thailand, with retirement visa extensions, I've never done a visa run in 12 years. If Vietnam had a long term visa, I would consider it. They talk about it, but nothing yet.
