Just trying to make an ATM withdrawal, I guess.

After his walk, Gold, 44, said it felt like someone had "taken a hot iron and pressed it against my feet."

Maybe he just wanted to remind her where her power socket was.

Gives a new meaning to: "This is some really good sh-t."

Unfortunately, Assist Thai Visa service will neither pickup your passport from you at your home, nor return it to you when the work is finished. If you live far from Immigration, this is a problem.

As Colonel Sanders used to say: "Finger lickin" good!"

This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, with a whimper.

I think El Pollo Loco would do a bang-up business here in CM what with the abundance of chickens. Taco Bell, too. Also, a Jamaican "jerk" chicken place with its spicy flavors might be very popular with the Thais. .

"Mixing the gruesome with the quirky was the appropriately termed 'rag and bone' man (a quaint British term for a collector of old stuff) who bashed his wife over the head with a torch - a kind of assault and batteries."

"She is Mr Wu Yongfu, 28; the Chinese tourist"
I could have sworn "she" was Tony Curtis in "Some Like it Hot".

I was really hoping we'd be finished with the burning season by Songkran. But I saw a layer of ash on my black car this morning which was heavier than any time this year, and the haze was as bad this morning as anytime last year. Usually this problem is over before Songkran.

Thailand has about 25.000 deadly traffic casualties every year.
25.000 / 365 = 68.5 average per day.
So seems normal.
Compared to death rates overseas, it's not so crazy. In the USA over the Songkran period approximately 150 people were shot to death. Are there statistics which indicate the percentage of victims who were riding scooters?
Approx 82% of the victims were riding motorbikes, which is about the normal percentage.

$700.00? No wonder it's reviled.

OK I'm putting this to bed. After research i've discovered that the owner is a Chinese investor trying to break into the Chiang Mai restaurant scene. Classic is his first venture and I'm sure not his last. I wish Khun Phatmaas the best of luck
There is a rather fat gent there who looks like a manager /owner .Talks and looks like a Westener .Not Chinese .
His name is Craig, an American with a Thai wife. Nice guy. He sat with me and talked about his local sources for the beef, cheese and bacon he uses in his burgers. Even offered me a free piece of bacon to try. (It was very good.) He gave me a complimentary card with a couple of stamps on it toward a free meal. His wife runs the place when he's not there. I like it and hope it stays around for a while.

Just buy a box for the back of the PCX - no problem!

Clutch - if used properly - should last the life of the engine.
The engine in the 1989 Toyota pickup I had in the US lasted 700,000 miles (1126540 km) before I sold the truck. I had to replace the clutch (normal highway driving) 4 times during that period.

Overheard in the CMU lab today: "Have you been self-testing with silkworm pupae, or are you just happy to see me?"

If you're not a vegan or vegetarian, you probably will already get enough B-12 from animal fats in your diet. If you're concerned about needing supplemental B-12, you might consider getting a blood test which would indicate any deficiency. Surplus B-12 would only be excreted in your urine.

I remember the good old days when the Bangkok airports used to be chok a block with people wanting to come to Thailand, those were the days when Thailand was really nice , those days Thailand was a cheap destination and there were friendly girls everywhere , any bar you would walk into and the girls would all clamour for my company , these days when you walk into a bar , the girls just say "Youre going to have to pay double, you fat bald incoherent old twunt" .
Thailand just isnt the same any more, its not like how it used to be 30 years ago
Of course you'll have to pay double. You're 30 years older!

I went back to classic burger on soi 9 last night for the second time for a reality check on my first experience. The hand made burger was done exactly the way I wanted it medium-medium rare. This time I asked for no lettuce, no tomato i just wanted to taste the burger. It had to be prime Angus beef flown in from the states. It was so tasty that I didn't even want to swallow it. I just used salt and pepper and even the salt was extraordinary. I think it was sel de mer (from France).
Do you remember backyard bbq's when you was a kid and your father was flipping the burgers. Well Classic burgers will recreate that image for you. 60 years will disappear and you will be that kid again.
Ate at Classic Burger this weekend. Overall a positive experience. The beef, though, didn't taste imported to me. Pretty much like the beef at most of the other burger places around town. (I wish they would grill these burgers over charcoal which would add a little "backyard" flavor.) The fries, however, were fabulous: crispy, with the skins on - terrific! French sea salt? I doubt it. But a real bargain: burger/fries/coke -115 baht..

Mercer would not know if their arse was on fire , what a load of rubbish, how this even gets printed as a bonafide report , when not one South American country is on that list , Where the <deleted> is Mexico, ? So as a paper report i would suggest to Mercer that they install the printed copies in their hong nam!
Or, as a famous composer once responded to a negative review in the local paper: "I am sitting in the smallest room in my house, I have your review in front of me. In just a moment it will be behind me."

Is this the same as the "Let it Be" on the Sompet-Chiang Mai Rd (3029)? I've really enjoyed the food at that one!
