Stabbing in Thong Lo
On my way home after going to Tops on the corner Sukhumvit 41 this morning. Saw an old Thai woman on the ground screaming that a guy had a knife and had tried to stab her. The guy then turned round and came back towards us. Then another woman came over to say her friend had been stabbed by him a bit further back down the street. So myself and a bunch Thai street vendors jumped him and beat the <deleted> of him. Most likely high on drugs as despite giving him a good kicking and a lot of boots to the face and head, he kept getting up to fight back and get away. Police took an absolute age to arrive and didn't even cuff him. Worth noting the guy was a foreigner (his language sounded Russian), most likely homeless and with drug/mental health issues as he was walking around barefoot and was filthy. I also saw him yesterday around Phra Khanong bts rambling to himself. The woman had been stabbed 3 times in the back of her thigh and he'd punched her around the face. She was eventually taken to hospital. Annoyingly, when I had him face down on the ground with my knee on his back to stop him getting back up, I had people yelling at me to get off him and let him up. Even had an old Thai guy threatening to fight me and pushing me off him because, 'I was hurting him'.

It sounds very much like Trump mathematics.

Thailand's AI Robocop Debuts at Songkran Water Festival
So basically it's a security camera stuck inside a shop mannequin. Thailand 4.0? Not quite.

The Rape of Democracy?
312 electoral votes vs 226 77.3 million votes in total vs 75 million. Definitely looks like a majority to me.

Where can Thais get help against a scammer?
My friend was hit with the exact same scam a couple of years ago. Told she wasn't allowed to even tell her husband or they'd both be arrested and her kid thrown into care. Looking back, it's absurd but at the time it was absolutely terrifying for her. Fortunately she didn't pay. I'm sure I get many scam calls but once I come out with, "Eh up mate, do ya speak English?" they put the phone down.

Hdprime missing channels
I've sent you a PM. I should also add, the service works best when connected through a VPN. I use Nord.

Hdprime missing channels
See screenshot from my service provider. This could be the reason. FWIW I pay £60/year and get excellent service. Have multiple versions of each channel (4kUHD, FHD, FHD 50fps, HD & SD). Plus the usual abundance of movies and series. HD Prime is absolute garbage compared to this service. In addition, also has live football from every league match in the English and Scottish pyramid.

Feeling guilty after freeloaders
This reminds me of the time I visited Korat to run the marathon. Got there a few days before and decided to see what sort of night life it had. Met a couple of girls in a bar and they suggested we go to a beer bar type place with live music. A few hours later our table size had grown from 3 of us to around 20. All ordering bottles of whiskey and I could see that nobody was paying for drinks as they were ordered. I joined in the fun for a few more hours but at the front of my mind was the knowledge that I would eventually be stuck with this huge bill. So I did what any self respecting guy would do... I went to the toilet, slipped out the side door and with a smug grin, stumbled back to my hotel.

Anglican Church
Christ Church at the corner of Sathorn Road and Convent Road is your best bet. That's a Church of England church. There's also Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Soi Ruamrudee close to Ploenchit BTS.

Japanese Man Chased By Knife-Wielding Cabbie After Dispute Over Not Using The Meter
Whenever I have to get a taxi close to Nana bts on a Friday night, I expect that they will try to not put the meter on. The last time I was there, I had a driver who tried to kill me... through shock. He actually put the meter on without me even having to ask. At the end of the journey I gave him the usual cost without the meter. Sometimes it pays to be honest.

Dermatologist in Bangkok
I was diagnosed with stage 2 malignant melanoma in May, and with melanoma in situ in September. My 12 yr old son was also diagnosed with it on his ear at the same time as my second diagnosis. Send me a private message and we'll talk over line/whatsapp. I used Dr Punyaphat from Samitivej Sukhumvit. I highly recommend being insistent on having anything suspicious removed and biopsied.

Online recruitment messages on Whatsapp....Scam
The photos they use are always of extremely attractive women. I waste their time asking if they're single, if they want to date a good looking western guy, how big their tits are, would they like a 3-way with me and the gf, which hole is their favourite etc, etc, etc. They often get very irate that I'm not answering their questions.

Chinese woman cycles 4,000 kilometres to Thailand from China to train Muay Thai
"I will undoubtedly encounter challenges due to weather conditions, language barriers, different lifestyles and intensive training." Somebody obviously hasn't told her about the death traps. AKA roads. Good luck with that one, love.

Partial lunar eclipse to be visible from Thailand on Sunday
When the last lunar eclipse was visible, I told my students about it, why and how it happens and that they should go outside and watch this celestial event. I even ran a little photography competition for the event. The next day, one of my boys told me that his parents didn't allow him to watch it because if he did, his eyes would bleed and he'd die. His parents have very good jobs and are well educated (the boy is at an international school in Bangkok).

PM to donate his salary to charitable foundations
I'd be much more impressed if he kept the PM salary and donated his other "salaries". You know... The ones that come in brown envelopes without a pay slip.

Petition submitted to PM to have Thaksin returned to prison
And the cabinet minister, Chris Huhne and his wife. Both jailed because she took his speeding fine and licence points for him.

Who is older, your wife/girlfriend or you?
Your partner is 100 years old??? That's impressive.

Thaksin may be released on October 13th as his prison status becomes a growing political target
It's not just 1 bed he's taking up. He has taken over the entire floor of the hospital VIP ward even though he's only using 1 room. Somebody somewhere is bwing paid a fair amount of cash in brown envelope for this to happen as those rooms are supposed to be for top brass police.
