Did my 90-day report online today about 5 p.m. to BKK Immigration using Internet Explorer. Entire online process was smooth and trouble-free.
And then to my surprise, about 10 pm tonight, I got an email from BKK Immigration confirming my report had been accepted and providing me with the sheet for my next reporting date.
A five-hour turnaround time from filing to acceptance is about the fastest I've ever experienced with 90-day reporting.
Makes you wonder why anyone would go to Chaeng Wattana to do their 90 day reporting. Bunch of fools with too much time on their hands! Guess they have nothing to do for the whole day and need something to pass their time...

My understanding is that our OP is not yet in Thailand so his visa hasn't been used at this point.
@dumbfarang18 is that correct?

'Anyway, one drunken night a girl I've been seeing added a 2 in front of both the arrival and departure date because she didn't want me to go so soon." - So a drunken girl in your home country didn't want you to leave your home country and go to Thailand so early since you are still there? A non-Thai drunken girl in your home country?

AThey are not Thai citizens because Thailand primarily utilizes a nationality doctrine called “jus sanguinis” which is the law of the blood, that's a rough translation. . If neither one of the parents are Thai, as is the reality in this instance as the Father is Dutch and the Mother Cambodian at the time of the birth, then the child is not a Thai citizen.
If that's the case then how did the OP's Cambodian wife get Thai citizenship when she's got no Thai blood? Or do they do some sort of blood test on her to find out that she has some Thai blood? And how do all these Indians living in Thailand get Thai citizenship? I'm certain I've seen some with Thai passports. Even Chinese I've seen at the airport carrying Thai passports.
"As a young girl she came to Thailand as a Cambodian refugee, and last week she finally, finally, acquired Thai citizenship after a long wait of 34 years."

She could apply for a single entry tourist visa. But in Savannakhet she may need to show a 20k baht in a bank. Not sure what they want they want for a Laotian to apply for the visa.
She could also apply for a multiple entry tourist visa with proof of the equivalent of 200k baht in a bank for 6 months.
Is the 200k for 6 months in the bank for a METV only for Laos? I thought it was 200k as the balance on the bank statement, not that it had to be for 6 months.

What type of "herbs" are you ordering from iHerb? Could be getting confiscated by customs, that's why.

Yes the food court is smaller than Bangkok , but the good news the prices are the same. We had some discussions about it would be more expensive in Pattaya , just because it's a tourist town , but forget that . Same price for any dish , desserts and drinks.
Which basically means 30 baht for my favorite Gyoza, fruit smoothie 25 to 35 baht. And I also tried a hot cup of cappuccino at the coffee place for 35 baht and it was excellent, made from fresh beans.
30 baht for Gyoza and smoothies for 25-35 baht? That's cheaper than in BKK! I pay 39 baht for fruit smooties and I think Gyoza is either 35 or 40 baht in BKK.

Do you want one with cash inside it or just empty?

Was the guy on some sort of drugs? Did they drug test him? That's the only logical explanation I can think of with him being in swimming trunks and diving off the balcony. Maybe he was on some sort of drugs and thought he was diving into a swimming pool.

Are you new here (to Thailand)?
I remember when was, once upon a time.I'm just wondering @Bullie needed a lot of petrol to travel everywhere to the different government offices many times or if something illegal was done, eg. a bribe or multiple bribes. The " " used in the post makes me wonder.....

"Although everything went through the proper channels nobody needs to be surprised that it took some " oil" to let it all happen" - Hmmm, what exactly do you mean by some "oil"? You needed some petrol/gasoline to make it happen?

There are lots Laotians, Cambodians, Burmese here in Thailand so I don't see why she would have a problem getting a visa, unless she's somehow a shady character that they would reject. Why would you think that she cold have a problem getting a visa in the first place? Did she do something wrong while here on her Ed Visa? There should be no reason why they would reject giving a visa to someone who fits all the requirements and has a clean record here in Thailand.

Yep, means people for all those shocked at the use of the word.
Yep, that's exactly what it means for those uneducated in English slang words. ???? It's even in Oxford Dictionary as you pointed out.

Friday two weeks ago, ED visa extension. Arrived at 11am because had a class before. 297 people waiting. I was out 9:30pm and still not the last customer.
They really need to work on this particular department for ED extensions and increase the number of counters...Woahhhh! That's so crazy the wait! I can't believe that these days there are so many wanting to come here on an Ed Visa since the crackdown a few years ago. Why are there so many peeps wanting to come and live in BKK since a few years ago? Seems there are double the amount of foreigners living in BKK since that time.

I have two residences: own a condo in Jomtien and lease one in Bangkok. Will this sort of checking up lead to any problems? I imagine a few others might be in similar circumstances..
You will need to submit it to both of those condo offices a copy of your passport and copy of lease agreement. That's the notice that my condo is asking for all peeps living in the building. It's not just foreigners but they request that for Thai peeps too.

Went to extend my tourist visa today and holy hell, had to wait there for 6 hours from 9:30am to 3:30am to extend it. There was a thread created by someone else a few day ago, mind you they went one day after the public holiday so what do you expect, but seeing as the public holiday is long gone and today being a Thursday I decided to go to Chaeng Wattana. It's been the longest and most painful wait in going there for many years. I thought 3 months ago when I did it that it was getting a lot longer the wait with lots of peeps, but today was dreadful. Is everyone feeling this over the past year that BKK immigration has now got too many peeps going there for extensions? Is this the same with other provinces or only BKK? They really should make many places where peeps in BKK can go, not just one place that the whole of BKK goes. It's such a big city with a huge population, it's not like the provinces.

There has been a new TM7 form since January of last year. Download and complete this Fillable TM7 form.pdf
9 hours ago, captpkapoor said:Absolutely correct. I had the same experience last week, it was 5.30 pm by the time I got the extension. Usually I then go to the other side to get the re-entry multiple entry stamp, but even though I had a token the lady wouldn't accept it. Yes, the new forms are for you to specofically acknowledge the terms of your visa extension, some guarantee/ indemnity type form. And yes, I was also asked to draw a sketch of the exact location of my condo.
There has been no new TM7 forms at all. I've been using the same ones for the past few years as I just ask them for a bunch of them (about 6 forms) when I went there before. In fact, today I did my 30 day extension and used the old form but just to make sure, I went to the counter and asked for a TM7 form to make sure it's the same, and yes it's the exact same one as I've been using for the past few years. This is for BKK.
No idea where @captpkapoor is but there's no "guarantee/indemnity type form" and they don't ask you to "draw a sketch of the exact location of your condo" lol...I guess that he's not based in BKK then but must be asked for somewhere in the provinces.
Mind you, the line to do a 30 day tourist visa extension was like HELL today. Took over 6 hours from getting a queue number!

Are there new T.M.7 forms now for 30 day extensions? Can we no longer use the old forms as I have a few of them so I can fill them in at home instead to be quicker of having to get a form at immigration and fill it in there.

Buying from a pharmacy without a prescription is probably just as unreliable and illegal as buying from a street vendor. May as well buy from a street guy, Box of 50 Kamagra gel runs around 800 baht.
800 baht off the street - If they are selling it on the street for half the price of pharmacies, are they selling fake Kamagra Jelly? Is there a such thing as fake Kamagra?
