Looks like there is an opening for a straight up bar with crap seating and a woeful loo somewhere in the ghetto.

Maybe a bar in one of the Klong's would do quite well. Standing positions only. If you need to pee no problems, just do it right there.

Thank you for your wonderfully thought out and well intentioned answer. However, the ambience there was great and I don't think this can be found if I follow your suggestion. That is why I am looking for places that have similar ambiances/crowds. Thanks again, very kind of you!!!

Your welcome, I'm always here to help. The ambience on the footpath is very similar to Cheap Charlie's. Just need to invite the same crowd to join you and bang, you have the same feeling as drinking at that place. Personally I think that 7-11 just about 50m up Soi 11 would be great as it has quite a bit of space in front of it to hang out

I come from the UK where water is free, I understand the US and other places can't/don't drink water from the tap, so maybe it's less of a jump for them if they were buying bottled water before anyway.  But for me it was a shock to come to Thailand and have to buy water, at any cost.

Do you seriously get free water on the UK? You don't have to pay for your tap water? Wow! Lucky buggers in the UK...

US and UK spelling is almost identical. No need to change anything. Neither systems are phonetic or make any sense. Thai is actually much better in this regard as it is nearly 100% phonetic. In EN, you have to memorize every single word.

Except for the US likes to miss out the letter "u" in a lot of words like colour/color. And they like to say "mom" instead of "mum". And switch the "re" and "er" around, like instead of "centre" they spell it "center"

  5. Having non-native speakers teach their kid English isn't the best thing. How do they know this Swiss woman can speak English correctly? I suspect the kid might end up a funny accent after learning English from everyone all over the world, not to mention wrong grammar. The family should make is a prerequisite that only native speaking backpackers are allowed

Admiral approach but English would really be best taught by a native English Language speaker

Tru dat brother! They'll be able to learn the different type of English slang too.

Oh my god what a disgusting cheap skate ! I can't believe you guys are in his favour whats wrong with you or are you the same bad mannered skin flints as this Adam is ? I certainly would have put him strait at the first encounter at the airport when he arrived the cheeky bastard ! and I think the host Howard & his wife were extremely polite and tolerant at least they displayed better manners and education than he did ! what an ignorant selfish son of a bitch I really hope that karma will prevail on him in the future he deserves it more than most.

I can only guess this bloody Adam is from the UK ? fancy after all that Howard had been through with this piece of crocodile shit they actually drove him to the airport ! I would have made him walk by himself to teach him a lesson plus other things !

What is Adams real name  ?  I would love to know so I can name and shame him ! what an abuse of kind hospitality ! I hope that toy will be more careful choosing the next boyfriend in future.

You need to calm down before you have a heart attack lol.

In regards to your last sentence, did you not read many times that "Toy" doesn't have a bf but a customer? She's a prostitute.

This will depend on where the bank that issued the card is located. In the US, card issuers will indeed reverse the charges if the charge is more than $50, the goods or services were defective, undelivered or not as described and the purchaser has made an effort to resolve the issue with the merchant. I do not know if this protection applies to purchases made outside the US. Interesting question.

They do not make any adjustments, it's a 100% chargeback.

The issuer will claw back funds, if available, or will become a creditor in the bankruptcy proceedings. Often, the issuer eats all or part of the chargeback.

This is done to give consumers confidence in using credit cards. It's a cost of doing business.

    Tru dat, amen

Well at least the cicadas are finally gone.  I would have eaten a durian out of your wife's ass to make that noise stop.

Is that before or after washing out her bumhole before you "eat a durian out of the OP wife's ass"? :shock1:

Ah the click bait queen strikes again- don't you just love those alpha male comments- so old fashioned these days.

A large majority of Thais really enjoy durian- I do too. I like this time of year pickups driving around selling amazing tropical fruit at ridiculously low prices.

What right has anyone to dictate what someone has to eat- you may not like it too much- so what.

Don't see how his post was a "click bait". Let me educate you what "click bait" actually is. It's content whose main purpose is to attract attention and encourage visitors to click on a link to a particular web page aimed at generating online advertising revenue. Eg. relying on sensationalist headlines or eye-catching thumbnail pictures.

I do agree with your last sentence, what right does the OP have to dictate what his wife eats. If she likes durian then go for it and eat a few :)
