If someone were to be unlucky and get denied entry at BKK airport with a METV, which other neighbouring countries would it be best to fly out to so they can try again to enter Thailand via air or by land? And which airports or land borders into Thailand?

From my readings on the net, it seems these injections last 3 months and are a little more better in terms of percentage protection over the pill. Does anyone have experience with using this in Thailand? Roughly how much does each 3 month injections cost? Any recommendations for getting this done in Pattaya?

I think the Embassy/Consulates in Australia were ok with multiple METV issued pre-Covid. Any reports from anyone else recently on how they are these days?

How long would be considered "substantial stays in other countries"? What about near back to back METV from your home country with one month spent in your home country? (Not SETV)

Are there big queues in Vientiane? Do they issue it the same day or how many days later after submitting?

Is the 180 days in one year reset on 1st Jan and only apply to a calendar year? Say you stay 180 days from July to December in the previous year for example.

Go back to Oz, do your pre-Learners course, get your L's and stay on them for 6 months. Book in and do your day test to get your P's and stay on them for a full year. Then get your IDP with a motorcycle endorsement on it. Then go to Thailand and get your Thai Drivers Licence for a motorcycle.

If taking cash (Thai Baht) out of Thailand and bringing it into Laos, I believe the limit is 450k baht before you have to declare it when leaving Thailand, if taking it to any neighbouring country, is this correct? Is this only for cash or if you also take gold with a combined value over this, you then need to declare this when leaving Thailand? When arriving in Laos, either by airport or land border crossing (Eg. Nong Khai), I believe that anything over US$2k in cash and/or gold needs to be declared. Considering how corrupt everything is in Laos, is it safe declaring all of this when flying into Vientiane airport or crossing via land at Nong Khai?

Roughly, how much money and/or gold is usual for sin sod to a Lao girl's family? Is the sin sod for marrying a Lao girl similar or less than for a Thai girl or the equivilant? What factors influence how much sin sod is given? Let's say a Lao girl is in her early 30s, never married, no baby, finished high school, is the only girl in the family, comes from a poor family, has had sexual relations with a few different men before in Laos and Thailand. How much would be expected for the sin sod? The problem is, many of her extended family have married rich Chinese businessmen (well, not really married but only in the village) who need to marry a Lao person so they can do business in Laos. Those Chinese people apparently pay big sin sod because they need a Lao woman so they can conduct business in Laos. But she has never had any interest in marrying any Chinese.

Anyone have any agent recommendations for getting a Thai driving licence? I was going to do it myself, but if it's going to take at least a few weeks to a month or more to get it, I may look at an agent if they can get it done immediately to a few days time. I have my English driving licence, IDP, residence certificate, medical report & all the required photocopies.

Need to get one so I can apply for a Thai motorbike licence. I'm currently on a visa exempt entry. What are the current requirements? Is there a certain amount of days you have to have still in your visa exempt period before they will issue it, or it doesn't matter? I will also be doing a 30 day extension of stay at the same time. I believe the requirements are: 1. Completed Application Form 2. Two Photographs for each application - Passport Size - approximately 4x5 cm or 1 5/8 x 2 inches (One photo will be retained with the application and the other will be affixed to the Residence Certificate) 3. Original Passport 4. Photocopies of pages in your passport - Identity Page, Visa Exempt entry stamp. 5. Original rental contract 6. A fee of 300 baht

Thai son/daughter sending money to parents every month - Is this part of Thai culture that the kids must send money to their parents every month once they are working from their 20's onwards? Does this apply to all Thai kids, even if their parents are well off?
