  1. British embassy not helping in this case is discrimination against ur own countrymen . The European governments spend about 36.000 euro's a year per refugee but are not able to help there own people .

Any idea how many people would then make use of the money from the government. Countless because why buy insurance as your government will pick up the bill.

The refugee's are not a good thing at all but two wrongs don't make a right.

Honestly Rob , I have no idea how many people would try to take advantage and not get a travel insurance if travelling abroad .

I think not to many people get into serious medical trouble like this bloke did .

Little bit of namchai on the embassy's side would be the right thing IMHO .

  2. Sounds sensible to me , change to other crops is better for the soil and maybe brings in more money with less work .

Maybe farmers that agree to change crops need to get some education on the crops they can grow .

Less work? Is growing rice labor intensive? From what I see around our village it is NOT.

Also I don't think the average Thai listens to anything. S/He follows the rule "they are FREE" to do anything they desire....no need to follow any law/dictate.

Where did I write that growing rice labor is intensive ? I wrote that there are "maybe" crops with less work .

The characters of Thai people are not the same all over the country , depends of what province you live .

  3. I am only 48 , I know about the sleepless nights the 24/7 pain . Only thing that keeps me going is the love for my wife , kids and a couple of real mates .

Painkillers take the edge of and is still better then the final solution .

I still do the work that wrecked my body and still do it with joy , but it gets harder and harder every year .

Maybe u should try to visit a painclinic , my brother gets botox shots sometimes to put some nerves offline for a while .

anyway hope u health will improve .

  4. At the school my 10 y/o daughter attends they start at 8:30 and ends 15:30 . When she gets home she often has 2 hours of homework .

I think the kids are right .

Depends if they want to be as well educated as other countries. Want to be a dummy, fine dont bother studying.

studying isn't about only time spend on study , it's the quality of the teachers , Thai kids spend the most time in school in asean , but still score very low in this region .

sending them home with a lot of homework is a sign the teachers are not qualyfied .

  5. Wow finally, justice is too slow in Thailand especially when rich people are involved. Its good that the guy finally has to go to jail. I always thought it was a farce when he did not have to go to jail. Finally some justice.

Next on the list red bull and the teenager that hit the minivan with people in it.

Vorayuth Yoovidhaya, the Red Bull Heir, will NEVER serve time for his crime.. And was it really a crime or an awful accident ? Shit happens in life and I think this spoilt young man hit the motorcyclist by accident and then panicked ..

when he realised the driver was a policeman. The policeman's family accepted ten million bahts in compensation. Will help to fill the space left by the dead policeman. This is Thailand and it's the way it works here. Let the young guy alone and let him live his life. He has to have that on his conscience forever. wai.gif

They have no concience , litlle reminder
