  1. There is a more important person that should win the Person of the year for his family contribution to the well being of the Thai people.

Suthep taking that honor away from him is a sign of disrespect.

Unfortunately that person cannot be named, but his family continue his legacy, in running the country, helping the people, especially the poor in the North and Issan to sure they get a fair crop price, cheap health care, village funds for projects, OTOP, tablet for the nation's young generation, etc.

  2. So now what? people can just come and block and cordon off areas of a major city at a

whim? just like that? no rule of law, no police? what da hell this country becoming too?

way past anarchy, and this is all in the name of democracy,,, Shame, Shame, Shame,

I believe the airport was quite a bit worse. What did you expect?

    Seize that airports is OK.

It only affect Farangs who can choice another destination anyway.

It has no impact to Thai people by large.

  3. I wonder if that was his logic in April/May 2010? The red shirts set the precedent for taking the capitol hostage to get your way.

No, they didn't. That was the PAD in 2009, when they took over Suvarnaphumi. Whilst not the 'capitol' as such, it did paralyse Bangkok as a flight hub. And it did give the reds a few ideas, clearly, for 2010.

Each time the polarisation reverses, yellow to red, red to yellow, the anti is upped. You can blame both bands of lunatics for this.

But the army did NOT set a precedent is sending in troops to gun down innocent protesters.

  4. "Yes clearly this is all a ploy to force travelers into purchasing noodle soup for 150THB when it can be had elsewhere for 80THB. I'll give you the 70THB difference if it means that much jethro ...."

Jeez still paying too much. I usually pay 35-40 and great soup. Should be plenty of it available since seems many are not using their noodles these days...

Food court at basement average at 50 Baht per dish.

  5. The support is so massive, why is Suthep so afraid to go into a sure win election?

for #@@#$ sake because elections cannot be free and fair when bought or bullied by Taksins cronies

Nobody with any credibility at all has suggested that the most recent elections were not conducted fairly.

Do you have one source? Even one link to any organization, international or otherwise, that even vaguely suggests the elections were stolen? That PT did not win fairly?

    Just one will do!

Because if you don't, one has to wonder how you can be so sure of it.

    BlueSky Channel said so.

    Is that not good enough?

  7. Thaksins money should have been seized since a long time. Most he got from corruption.

Rubbish. It was earned legitimately. One may not agree with how businesses operate in Asia, but the junta and Democrats did their utmost to make the corruption claim stick, and failed. Are you jealous of Thaksin's wealth?

Nothing stops you from becoming wealthy if you have entrepreneurial skills, intelligence and an ability to work hard.

Oh hello hello, expected nothing else than this comment. in his early days didn't he go bankrupt ??? or lost a hell of a lot. OK if you get it it's if you want to pay your dues. He didn't did he. a very honorable gentleman on the run already convicted and more around his neck. It's all politically motivated, and he is finished with politics-- smell some porky pies here.

He loved the Olympics in Beijing as he is such a sports lover. OH please GK give it a rest, give us some fair honest posts.

He paid the army to give him mobile phone concession.

I have no proof, but heard that was how he earn his billions.

  8. paying people doesn't guarantee they will vote for you. The dems paid my wife's family last time and they voted for Yingluk. Took the money and thought suckers.

People will still vote for whoever they want

You keep saying this... not everyone is like your wife's family, many will vote for who paid them...

and some will take the money from both parties.

  9. Seizing the airports is a bad move and I think Suthep knows that, I don't think he would tell people to do so...

And you really believe that don't you?

He had no involvement in the last airport occupation is that correct?

As long as it is to gain power and overthrow democracy to pave the way to his (own) "people's council" (with himself as a head of.... (Whatever that might be)), Suthep will consider every option.

And since his yellow thugs have quite a bit of experience when it comes to airport seizure, I would not be surprised to see a few of these "paralized" too...

I guess that the beautiful well groomed old ladies with a classy hairstyle supporting Suthep will chose to occupy Suvarnabhumi. It's more comfortable than the old Don Muang smile.png

    Some fun coming for sure...

To send Thailand into chaos is what he wants anyway...

Sent from my HTC One using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

The airport does not belong to Thaksin.

The airport belong to the Thai "people".

Hence the Thai "people" have the right to claim back the airport as he (Suthep) see fit.

  10. Suthep has been indicted for murder and has been charged with insurrection and other crimes, and now he threatens (again) the legitimately elected Prime Minister if he doesn't get his way. And he has the gall to call the Prime Minister arrogant. When are the fine citizens of Thailand going to realize that this man is bad for Thailand in so many ways, both in the present and in the future. There's only one place he belongs right now - and that's on the other side of prison bars looking out.

    Politically motivated charges.

5.8 million people will tell you that Suthep is almost like God.
