  1. Apple pre-pays the customs duty so no additional charges.

. Sorry I know this is not related but I don't know how to start a new post, do you know if I can pay for WIFI for my IPAD I have nowhere for a SIM card, I know I can use WIFI from other people but I want my own for when I go away. Thanks Fred.

    Hi Fred,

When you buy an iPad, you have the choice of using an internal sim card and for it to be wi-fi enabled. It seems you chose NOT to do this on purchase and therefore you cannot. There is a premium to be paid for this choice so I can understand you not taking this option.

  2. Sorry I know this is not related but I don't know how to start a new post, anyhow can I buy wifi from any company for my ipad with no sim, I know I can connect to someone else but I want my own for when I am away.

3BB and True WiFi are the two biggest WiFi service providers here. You can purchase services. That said, many services are supported by SMS, so it helps to have a phone - not necessarily your iPad, which can receive SMSes.

3BB is affiliated with AIS so you may be able to get complementary or discounted services if you are an existing AIS customer. And the same goes for True WiFi is you are a TrueMove (H) customer.

  5. An agent can not obtain the stat document so you will have to do that yourself anyhow. Extensions are supposed to be done in person unless there are immigration allowed exception for medical reasons/old age. Without doing yourself you do not know what paperwork may have been done under your name.

You can extend up to 45 days early (and maybe more due to flood concerns) and if that is not an option you can just do on return (getting a single entry O or making the conversion here). Should not be much more paperwork than you have been doing yearly. Even if you used an agent you would still have to provide the paperwork and any additional cost would just be to visit immigration (and most times you have to visit so just to get you a place in queue).

  6. I would think it's a bit low.

Maids in BKK might take 300 baht for a visit, which takes 2 hours or less.

And if this caddy can't find 2 jobs a day, he will be making less then the minimum daily wages.

I would give him 400-500, considering it's his daily earnings, and it's really not that much for me (and for you I'm guessing).

you can the tip the cadet what you like usually 200 or 300 baht the golf course also has to pay them minimum wage 300 baht
