Idiocy, incompetence and xenophobia at best. Maybe the one who should be kicked out of country should be him. And his whole lot.

Exactly. And once the fire has been put off, show him the fat bill. As seen as to people like him, what does count is only the profit, hit him in the pocket. Next time he'll think twice.

Did he just say the magic word "money"? One thing more, Mr. Puffedchest: look, also expats contribute to the economy and not in a marginal way. Remove that soil from your skull and try to think that maybe who have been living here regularly for a decade and more, maybe should be saved from the embarrassing harassment that your whole lot does every single year? Not to mention the TM idiocy... (I know, it's hard but at least you can try).

How about :
"Law breakers should be wary of all laws"
Those who don't break the law should have no problems at all.
Given the fact that read books and eat sandwiches will lead you to jail, I am afraid you are not right... And given the fact that under art. 44 Gen. Prayuth IS now the law, whatever he likes, I would not feel really safe...

Thani owes me a new monitor... After I read his explanation I sprayed coffee all over my old one, and almost choked myself to death.

Well well. There is a God after all! Now, any jail for the yellows who shut down two international airports?
The red shirts violently broke into the ASEAN summit. The yellow shirts peacefully occupied the airport. The criminal code treats these differently. While there should be prosecution of the yellow-shirt leaders, the severity of punishment will be nowhere near the same.
Total utter BS... And you know it.
Both groups are violent and did illegal action when they storm ASEAN or occupy airports AND DISRUPT national and international flights.
Both groups should face jail time, but...

I do enjoy the lot of envious comments, putting the guy down. He does a great job for community, and the best that lots of you can do is to make ironic comments, or calling him "Tool". The great wildlife of TVF...
Way to go Rudy!

Are you for real? What progress have the junta made in the south!
All the junta is doing is alienating the people in the north of the country.
Get your head out of the sand and smell the coffee.
You really do live in cloud cuckoo land!
What progress are the Junta making in the South? Very good question and I would love to answer it for you.
I am referring to the government's security approach since the coup, where the military outsources security work to local villagers and hunted down militants which lessened violence, with recorded incidents plunging from 1,298 in 2013 to 793 in 2014. Meaning that in 2014 the incidents nearly halved.
Then we have the secretary-general of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre stating early this month that the situation in the southern-border provinces since June 2014 had improved significantly with a decrease of deaths and injuries by 52 percent. Meaning 2015 is continuing down a progressive path as well.
I look forward to the peace talks to reduce all incidents to zero in the deep south or won't that suit your agenda?
Maybe some less condescension and more constructive rebuts may be in order mate...
Your second sentence had nothing to do with what we are talking about. Your third was a statement said out of frustration by the facts I presented and the fourth sentence is to make you feel better by belittling me.
Incidents vary depending on the year, they rise and fall of their own accord and its pretty disingenuous to suggest its any more than a going to ground whilst and during the coup and post since theres martial law throughout the country which no doubt has some effect on the south as well as everywhere else. Just where are you getting your statistics from ? and dont tell me the Junta.
The army has had the mandate to control the south for years, and failed along with everyone else, its failure is also the very same and current Junta in charge.
A Junta claim because it says so does not make it true....... indeed setting a clear example for lying.... "this is not a coup"
1,298 in 2013 to 793 in 2014. The sad thing is wether it was or was not not will be irrespective of the belief that you won't believe it. Just like a majority that does not support your agenda.
Facts are not a strong point for you heay….Beliefs are.
The next logical PTP conclusions is it was floods that stopped the terrorism in the deep south.
Then reduction in terrorism in Bangkok was due, not to the Junta, but the red shirts deciding to cease the killing right?
Any story or link that proves me wrong is fake right?
Why even defend my point or argue facts. You will dismiss them,
Your disrespect for the majority why reform is needed.
I don't think Englishoak is the one with an agenda here...

Straight out murder then by a couple of numbskulls.
Who walks into a bar ( forang ) tooled up with a pistol
If you ask me this Turk was a menace and probably played with fire and got burnt
I am sorry but more to this story than what is written and it ain't murder
If someone specially a foreigner was to come into my place of business and start trouble and i could see he was tooled up then should I let him bully and intimidate me in my own bar ( if I was thai ) in my own country
Some people just read a comment without a clue
People
Don't just shoot people out in the open without some sort of argument
I reckon if he wasn't carrying a gun he would will be here today

screw them!!! Take your time and get it done right. Easy to be an armchair quarterback. Where are these mouthpieces when innocent children are getting blown up by RPG's. Get the Thai house in better order then go to elections. I have been here 12 years and this is the best I have seen it. If they go to elections before they reform the failed system then we will just fall back into the same cycle of rampant corruption and the military will end up having to step in again.
Perhaps some of these other countries are afraid that the world will see that a coup to oust corrupt politicians is the only way to reboot the system that these A-hole politicians have screwed up to serve their own agendas.
Out of my curiosity: what is the best you have seen in 12 years here that has been changed by the actual junta?

When tourists will understand? NEVER EVER rent a jet sky in Thailand. NEVER.
In many places around kingdom also avoid rent motorcycles...
If you do it, you are ready to be scammed. Very likely. So just: AVOID.

This country is getting weirder by the day...
When influent people will stop to pull the trousers of the governments in charge for make their business easy, and instead be prepared to find themselves solution in a FREE market?
I see how foreigner businesses could be less and less willing to invest in such a Playschool like this country is...

Making clear that this is a long-time tradition for Thais: I guess there are many better events to organize and things to show to kids than display military weapons and vehicles...

I'm open minded and I consider both possibilities valid. It could have been a homicide like a suicide as well.
What I can say is that I couldn't tell without doubts it was one or another, and a real full investigation is owed.
I wouldn't link this with the infamous September murders, but sure also this case has some shadows.

The worst thing about this beautiful country is the foreigners who loathe Thailand, but insist on living here for some reason. (Cheap sex?) You can see them at almost every topic, they can find a reason to bash Thailand for almost anything. And being part-time crime solvers, those chaps are quick to produce conspiracy theories about unsolved deaths.
One of my favorite quotes is from Bertrand Russsell: "The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt."
And you can see that exactly in action here, while the intelligent are full of doubt, questioning everything, not making quick judgements, stupid are cocksure that there's a mysterious crime wave going on at Koh Tao and they don't hesitate to label a generally peaceful place as "Island of Death" and scare away people thinking of going there. Of course, by doing that they don't care about the damage they are doing to the Thailand's tourism industry, because they loathe Thailand anyway. They claim they are doing this "to stop future murders", but I don't buy this at all. That is just another expression of their hatred for Thailand, their need to label Thailand as a scary place to be.
I bet also foreigners knowing it all, and insulting others having different opinion are not better than them...

The area should have been sealed to the public and the press, but you should put the blame on the police and military then...
Nah... Better scold the press.
