khunpa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I know a horny friend back home, who is desperate to come. At least that is 1. -
My marriage is kind of 'on the rocks', crumbling around me.

Look, if you are unhappy then end the marriage and make a better life for yourself. An unhappy marriage is also not good for the kid. Move out. Find a new place and do what it takes to enjoy your new life. -
Totally agree. With the way this virus has been acting, we are far away from “normal” and will be so for a very long time. This virus is not getting weaker and for years to come, it will be a fight between vaccine-development and the various virus mutations. In a few years from now we will be so “pumped” with vaccines, that we no longer can remember what we took. And we have no idea of the long-term effects. As time goes by, the world will get more and more devided due to this pandemic. It already is, with rich countries now giving 3rd booster shots and poor countries not having provided the first shot. Let’s hope they do not find out this is actually leaked from the lab in China. Then we are even more screwed. This is far from over and anyone thinking “normal” is just around the corner needs a reality check.

Looks like there are some staff at Kasikorn who needs an “attitude adjustment holiday” and a training-course in how to use the TAT calculator. I would pack a bag and look for a safe-house if I was them.

The whole thing is just a complete mess worldwide. One thing this Pandemic has shown us all, is how totally disconnected and screwed up the world, it’s leaders and organizations are. Selfish narrow-minded morons… all of them. Well, I guess we can look forward to not being able to travel certain places without taking several different vaccines. Of which we still don’t know the effects of these “cocktails”. Add to that the possibility of not being allowed to socialize and live “normally” unless you have a certain vaccine in different countries. A total exposure of a screwed up world. If this virus mutates to something more deadly and kills most of us, we kind of deserve it.

Domestic tourism urged to be promoted as backup plan to overseas arrivals
khunpa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Protests, Food-Lines, Closed shops, bars and restaurants. Empty streets and people suffering. The perfect setup for a great holiday. -
THB 2000!!!… WOW soooo generous!! Reminds me of my sons private school who offered a staggering 10% discount for this coming school year. Meaning they expect me to pay over THB 200.000 for spending my entire day helping my kid with his short online lessons. What a bargain! Well, told them they could forget about it and will instead homeschool him myself. Luckily I am a qualified teacher and got the time to do it. Feel sorry for the parents who have to pay crazy amounts for basically nothing. And feel even more sorry for the parents who have to send their kids to learn at a school influenced by the teachings and morals of “The Great Leader”. YouTube would actually make them smarter.

I recently separated with my Thai wife after 12 years of marriage, due to her going “Thai-crazy”. Started out with her nut-job of a grownup son (with bipolar) punching me in the face, when I asked him to clean his room. Had to throw him out of the house after that. Lucky I did not punch him back, as he of course lied to this mother and told her that he defended himself. Anyway she returns home from work after the incident and says nothing, until the next day, when I suggest that we talk about how to handle the situation. That’s when she goes “Thai-drama-crazy” and ends up threatening me with a knife. So had to “follow” her to the door too. She later called and said sorry about everything, which I refused to accept. My limit is when people start punching me in my own home and threatening me with a knife. Not staying with bat-<deleted> crazy people like that. Sad the marriage had to end like that. However happy that I don’t have to worry or care for her bipolar son anymore. He made our life miserable in the end. Also happy with the choice of ending the relationship. Once drama like that happens once, it will likely happen again and I don’t want to sleep with one eye open. Today we are okay friends as we also have a son together, who lives with me. I have installed video-cameras in every room in the house, so she knows that it would not be smart to show off any “Thai-drama” again, when she visits our son. If you have problems with a wife that can go mad at times, I would highly recommend the cameras. This way you can protect yourself and show the police what really happened, if needed.

Thailand’s national police chief is worth 104 million baht

LOL! And the funny (sad) thing is that nothing will even be done about it. In any normal country, you would be totally fxxked declaring this kind of wealth on a basic salary. Let me guess… Invested in Bitcoin early and the watches are gifts. -
Change to deposit protection at Thai banks will have little impact

Thank God I am not a multi-millionaire. What a Covid-like headache it would be with all those bank books and passwords. -
