  1. Thailand will not make a statement before they know who is winning. Seen before in history and will happen again.
  2. OMG! A foreigner who is good and very successful at his profession. Deport and ban him at once!! No need to learn or evolve from those damn foreigners!
  3. So many people I know here in Chiang Mai have Covid right now. It is everywhere and most are just fighting it from home with good reason. We have just gone into isolation ourselves today, as a close contact called us and said she now has Covid. So now just waiting and testing as I am pretty sure we have been infected. No way I will go to a hospital here, unless I feel I can not handle the symptoms. It’s kind of strange and sad that the Thai policy of handling this, keeps people away from treatment. That’s also why the official numbers are so low.
  4. Rich Thais get of with crime and murder. Police kill people and get away with it. Lawyers make money on cheating their clients and destroying their life’s. This place is so unbelievably unfair and corrupt on all levels. EVERYTHING here is about easy money and personal enrichment. Innocent or not, I feel sorry for this girl.
  5. Yet another poor crazy Farang. Thank Buddha, the super-rich Indians and Saudi’s will be arriving soon…
  6. Sure there are some accidents and also the occasional “push”… But overall I think most choose to jump as Thailand is a brutal place to be when money runs out.
  7. Online school ended up being a blessing for my son. Revealed how bad his teacher was at his very expensive International School. I was shocked about her incompetence, especially in her way of handling kids. Half of the parents in his class ended up taking their kids out of that school due to her way of teaching and behaving towards the kids. I ended up homeschooling him for 8 months instead, which clearly boosted his skills and confidence. He is now at a new bi-lingual school, very happy and doing great. And it’s even half the price of his old school. Lessons learnt: 1. Expensive does not always mean it’s better when it comes to schools. 2. It only takes one bad teacher to make kids feel miserable. 3. Homeschooling can be really effective, if you put the time into it. Main disadvantage is the social aspect. 4. You never know what is really going on at school. In our case the online classes opened our eyes to that.
  8. Combine this with all the other targeted rich people (Indians and Russians) that will be coming by the millions, there will soon be no space left here. Real estate prices will explode. And most will for sure also be investing 32 million THB for a work-permit and visa, as they will love it so much. It’s going to be amazing! Everybody is going to be super rich!
  9. Great work! Especially when needing to beg for vaccines from other countries.
  10. The question is, which country (Denmark or Thailand) would be most likely to come up with the true numbers?
  11. “On the visa side, he said that apart from retired foreigners, young foreign talents and startups are also looking to move to Thailand and the government should provide more incentives to encourage this group to move to the country as well.” Well they just did! Pay around 1 million USD and you will get a work permit. Has this Foreign Chambers guy not been keeping up to date?
  12. I am sure they do not care if they attract criminals or not. It is as always just about easy money.
  13. I have been married and divorced to both. Will never marry again, but plan to have a lot of fun before I die. For that I would for sure prefer a Thai woman. Correction: I might marry again… when I am 90 years old and if my 27 year old Thai girlfriend insists at that time…
  14. Exactly. The only people who would have interest in this kind of visa are criminals.
  15. What a “great” deal! So they have changed their target from “The super rich” to “The VERY stupid super rich”…
  16. What a “great” deal! Clear that they are aiming to the very stupid super rich. Sure there must be millions of those.
  17. The main problem is “attitude”. Most think working remotely from home is easy, while in fact it requires a huge amount of self-discipline and is often also more time-consuming, as you get disturbed during your day. Add to that issues with communication and time-differences and things can get really messed up. I have worked with many who could not do it in the long-run. You really need to be super organized and truly love what you do, to make it work. ”Freedom” comes at a price…
  18. Yeah, hunt them down and deport them! Would be great publicity for Thailand. As if the country is not suffering enough already.
  19. For sure will be and I am sure Covid has given many the same idea. I have been working remotely for over 20 years from various countries. Always been grateful for having the opportunity to go where I wanted. It however requires a lot of self-discipline.
  20. Such a great place for the soon coming filthy rich. Sure they can’t wait to get here.
  21. Love a bit of “Thai Drama”. Both have learnt well from watching stupid TV-dramas.
  22. After homeschooling my kid for nearly a year I put him back to school 2 weeks ago. Yesterday the school closed again as one in his class mates has Covid. They say they will reopen Monday, but let’s see.
  23. Instead of blaming only alcohol, they might take a look at their stupid TV-series where every conflict is solved with some kind of violent childish drama reaction.
  24. Sure, because they know that only a few students will “complain” and they can easily handle that.
