How is it possible for this man to be concerned over the the image portrayed by 2 Ozzies getting ripped off, when his own Government has adopted a rip-off policy of its own against Tourists for National Park entrance fees.
I think his name should now be" Kipper "

Maybe the farmers could have holidays in Pattaya or Phuket? And all will be the best in the best of all worlds !
Farmers have no money? Why? Everybody have money here in Thailand.
The farmers, already have Holidays in Pattaya , Phuket, and any other place that they think its possible to earn or scam money from doing Building work Etc.
Why do you think all the building work is such a poor standard ?
Its not because these people are trained, its because they are not.

No mention if teacher can actually speak English. They need to dump all the grammar books in the bin, teach vocabulary and SPEAK it instead of filling out the exercises in the books. Kids get 10 out of ten for the work books all through School, but it's useless when it comes to speaking the language.
The chances are that the Teacher speaks " Tinglish ", as there are very few that actually speak good English.
I recently asked 2 English Teachers from my Daughters School if they had heard of the Phonetic Alphabet, and had they applied it to teaching the Children how to speak English..
They both looked at each other with puzzled expressions, and then both replied "NO", they neither knew of the Phonetic Alphabet, or taught it
With an Education System that does not encourage the use of Phonics in teaching English, there is little or no chance for the Students to learn correctly.

There are several reasons that Electrical Wiring Systems have no Grounding ( Earth ) wire, or Protection Systems.
1) It takes more time to install
2) That makes 3 wires the Electricians have to think about, many struggle with just the 2 wires
3) Installation material costs are cheaper
4 ) Thais always know best, and will not be told different, even if its by a Fully Qualified person with many years experience in whatever field.

what is fulfillment ? honest question
Surely, its a combination of all the Factors that Thailand ranked well in.
So why the bad " fulfillment " Ranking ?

If Indians and Chinese are so important, why not grant them a 30day tourist visa instead of a Visa on Arrival for only 15 days?
Just perhaps it would make it more convenient for staying longer than 15 days and would increase the trip spend.
Why not have had a Memorial Service for the 48 poor souls that perished at the hands of Thai greed and ignorance 1 year ago on the " Phoenix "
Maybe the Tourists are glad they only get a 15 Day Visa. Its only 15 Days the Thais have in which to kill them all off.

I know hindsight is a wonderful tool but in the case of Thai medication I always check on the internet to see what the doctor has prescribed before application that's the way I always go!
And what do you do if you open a bag of Meds upon returning to your Home, only to find that the meds had somebody else,s name on them?
No! it was not a Pharmacy mix up, as the Surgery was One Doctor and a Receptionist.
The " Doctor " had simply given me the drugs from another Patient, as the Guy had left the Country ( as I later found out after he Receptionist phoned to ask why I had not kept my next appointment ) and had not paid for them, so the Doctor had to recoup his losses by issuing them to somebody else in order they paid for the Drugs not used.
Not one thought about Patient Safety, only Money
Unfortueately, this is the Thailand of today.

so how long has Thailand been dependent on rainfall?
500 years? 1000 years? 2000 years?
All of Mankind is dependant upon Rainfall for their very existence since the dawn of time.
A little longer than 2000 Years.

But they were all put back together again in some Tin Shed somewhere, and are out there again ready to cause carnage and mayhem, only this time they are less likely to be road worthy.

How is it possible to place Thai drivers and observe correct speed limits in the same sentence ?
To most Thai drivers, a Zebra Crossing for pedestrians is an annoyance, that has been placed there to stop them speeding.
And if you stop at a Zebra, be sure to use your Hazard Lights when Braking prior to stopping, or be prepared to be rear-ended by a Thai loony with their "Me first , Im No 1 attitude "

Some dumb@$$ who can't see a car. I would be mad also. How do you hit a parked car?
I really dont know how you manage to hit a parked car.
But here in Thailand the Thais seem able to hit anything that does not move.
Anything from Parked Cars, Parked Trucks , Shop fronts and people selling Somtam just off the side of the road., to road signage, trees and deep ditches on the side of the road.

I think it's scandalous! Having to work more than forty hours - mind you from what I've seen half the staff don't seem to work twenty hours.
I think I should have been dead years ago if this is the case. Working on-site I often had to work up to sixty hours a week to get the job done - I'm sure there's lots of others who have done the same.
Eeeh, when I were a lad...
