It was only about 5 Years ago, that the all the Hotels in Pattaya were refusing to accept Tourists from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh.
The Hotel Management stated that people from these Countries were " Dirty, Smelly, and had poor personal hygiene ' , and were not the type of people they wanted staying in their Hotels.
My, how the high and mighty have slumped to accepting these Tourists.

Someone in high authority talking about "putting in place plans".
That usually means that no plan will ever eventuate and even if does it will conform to Murphy's Law of Thai Government Planning.
"Everything is more complicated than it first appears"
Forgive me Cadbury, but I thought Murphy,s law was as follows
" The most unlikely thing, that could possibly go wrong, at the most inconvenient time, - Will "

They must have had a collective Brain Fart to come out with a statement like that.
No single person could have come up with it.

By not holding a Memorial Service for the poor souls that perished on the " Phoenix " , Thailand has now just about killed the Golden Tourist Goose from China.
The Chinese will look at this as a snub, and a total lack of compassion, and remorse, by Thailand for the deaths of 47 of its Citizens, as any other Country also would.
Its no use the Thai Authorities trying to ignore the fact that the accident never happened,- it did, and the incident will never be forgotten by those that were directly involved in it.

When you have a psycho waiting in the wings then you have to ask what has taken so long. The good news of course is that this could well be the last one if the Thais have guts in numbers.
But Thais are spineless - fact

Agree, I dont mind them doing maintenance on my car, but when my plane needs a checkup you bet I go somewhere else.
I had complete brake failure in my car the day after a comprehensive service.
Let them loose on a mode of Transport where hundreds are in danger at any one time, it beggers belief ! They cant even maintain the Busses to a safe condition.

Making noise at a G20 and talking "world economy" stuff?
Thailand is NOT a big fish in that game. It needs to devalue the baht to get it's import/export balance correct.
And its protectionism Policy.

Well that’s in total contradiction to our Thai visa experts who claim Chinese outspend Europeans.
Would appear Chinese spending does not make up for loss of European money .
The Chinese do spend a lot of Money in Thailand.
However, the money they spend does not go into the Local Economies,s it is spent in purpose built " Shopping Experience Outlets ", where just a few very rich business,s get to see any of it.
Most of the smaller Bars, Restaurants, and Shopping Outlets are left to feed on the remnants.

How can closing this one Bar on Soi 6 for 5 years be a punishment for " Damaging the image of Tourism in Pattaya and Thailand " ?
The image of Tourism in Pattaya and Thailand has been successfully damaged beyond repair by many, many Years of Corruption, and total incompetence from Government Officials..
Just face up to the facts, Thailand is the Biggest Whore House in the World as stated by a British Newspaper over 30 years ago now, and little has changed in that time, and probably never will.
