There are many jurisdictions that offer a second legal passport if you can afford it - some very much worth having, generally for tax reasons. The Chinese do seem to like them so they can claim ... well not to be Chinese. It is a convenient cover. Take for the example the nefarious activities undertaken by the "born in China" criminals in the $3 Billion money laundering scam in Singapore. Some held multiple passports including Vanuatu and St Kitts & Nevis .....
The ratio of murders, fights, car crashes, general illegal activities caused by visitors to Thailand vs visitors to say Singapore, Malaysia etc per 100,000 is astronomical. Why does Thailand continue to attract such people is volumes?
Perhaps netziens should ask themselves just how many public toilets there in Patong and specifically on Patong beach and then dive deeper and ask just how clean they are. Thailand may be the land of smiles but certainly not the land of sufficient, well maintained public toilets.
Thai kids generally have a stronger educational start in life vs western kids. The reason is simple - they play and socialise. Key factors now being recognised around the world in forming early development and now lacking in many western and increasingly some Asian societies. The Thai education system does need a complete revamp and facilities upgraded. That also means a huge change in teaching methods and teaching standards. A massive challenge and frankly education should be regarded as continually evolving requiring long-term investment and innovation. That requires capable government, commitment and funding.
