Charlie, you can see he is a newbie, and he was only asking what the etiquette is, simple. You should have a little more understanding, and just help him (like your first 2 sentences), no need to make him feel stupid.Depends who invited who.
If your "friend" invited them then yes, your paying, if they invited you, then naturally, they would pay.
It obviously did/does "bother you" or you wouldnt feel the need to ask on an internet forum, you would have just dismissed it.
Also: does she know she is "just a friend" ? it wouldnt seem that way inviting you to eat with/meet family.
This is where you get all sorts asking was he "really" her brother........

You seem to be the only person on the planet that doesnt know what a terrorist is...!!
Google it mate...

So they are only 'so called' terrorists now then, eh?
Not a deflection at all. I am demonstating how difficult it is to define terrorist.
An almost excellent deflection.Define terrorist.
It's a slippery slope when you put convenient labels on people.
If it is someone who knowingly kills innocent civilians, how about the drone controller sitting in an air con office miles away who deliberately fires a missile at an apartment block supposedly targeting a "terrorist", but who knows he will kill dozens of innocent families in the process. Or his superiors who gave him the order, or his government's politicians who approved the policy.
The ones being targeted in the building are TERRORISTS. They are hiding behind human shields.
I note that the latest country to enter the ME mayhem seems to have even less concern for the civilians.
I am not a fan of the death penalty, but if it is going to be used at all, these people are probably as deserving as any.
So, is the drone controller who knowingly kills innocent "human shields" just as bad as the so called terrorist.
Is he a terrorist too?
What should we call them? Your best buddies?

So you come up with a master plan to get rid of the terrorists then. Tell us what YOU think should be done....if it was left to all you pc liberals, we would already be forced to follow Islam....Define terrorist.

Wait......
You mean Christmas for you is not about the birth of Jesus Christ?
I think you might be missing the real point of the real holiday.
You're welcome!!
Not so much these days, but I dunno why it has to be cold and snowing to be a great christmas....after all, Jesus was born in a hot country with no snow, so Thailand fits in more than the UK. I had a lovely christmas day with my twin brother, and all our friends and wives here in Thailand, we had an American, 6 Aussies, a Dutchman, and 3 Brits, and 7 Thais...Didn't really bother with it so much back home...

He talks tough, then needs a 4 year old to back his story.....but i must say, i wouldn't want to be captured by his mates, me beer would spill out all over the place if they chopped off my napper.
Don't you think his video looks and sounds like as if Sacha Baron Cohen (aka Ali G) had made it? Just like in the comedy movies.....

Not necesarily...if you do the combination of income, and money in the bank method.,..the retirement extension is clearly more straightforward....many married guys still use that method. You only need one set of copies for retirement....
And double the money in the bank.

Western Europe is under attack. What will be left for me to go home to. ?
You will need your passport, maybe...
whatever happened to old fashioned passports and visas? It seems now that refugees on the borders can say "i demand my children go to school in Germany", or "we demand to be allowed to cross your countries, and get to the UK".....<deleted>?

Christmas cheer? It isn't christmas for most of them....its just another day for them, any christians amongst them, would be in fear of celebrating anyway....

They should only be allowed in professionals hands....they are great for seeing the world from a bird's prospective, but in the hands of idiots, they are scary....i was out on my bike a while back, and one nearly took my head off, just come at me from nowhere. Must have been kids playing around, but they can be a lethal weapon in the wrong hands.

I don't know why everyone has their eyes on Britain? As far as i can see, every country is not moving ahead like they thought they would....i suppose its because the UK is now the world leader, and everyone takes their mark from them....Cameron just has to sneeze, and it puts us back a notch or two....lol

Ah, thats more like it...now we can understand the OP better...thanks,
Happy New Year...

Haven't been there for 8 years.

Speak for yourself mate...i can look at beer, all kinds of beer are impressive....i like food too. Listen up, every young Thai (or farang), no more pictures of any kind on facebook please, berybert is disgusted with you. Go into settings on your facebook, click on 'delete facebook' ....there, sorted, no charge.Same with people taking pictures of food. I really have no interest in what someone is going to eat. Oh and I also know what a pint of beer looks like. You don't have to prove you are in a pub by taking a picture of your beer. It impresses no one.

Nobody on here knows the situation, there is something we don't know about, for sure. They went to the media with the story, saying that the kids will miss out on Disneyland, hyping the story to the max, bringing kids' misery into the equation. How does anyone really know they were actually going to Disneyland? They said they were meeting 'extended' family in the US. I feel they pulled the racist card to get a reaction.
It could, and often is any race that could have been stopped, its just that muslims are the biggest threat, not the only threat, but the biggest threat to security on planes these days. If one of them had a red flag on them, it must have been for a reason, (maybe for on-going investigations) So why should Homeland Security reveal to the media anything that might jeapordize this?
All i know is, if i was refused entry, i would question myself, not the US, for the reasons. -
It's none of Cameron's or anybody else's business who the United States denies entry to.
I hear Mecca is nice this time of year....it would get them away from all the hustle and bustle of the christmas that they seem to hate so much.

Chile is nice this time of year....or Trinidad and Tobago. Tobago maybe a little quiet...Trinidad it is!

Merry Christmas, and a Prosperous and Happy New Year to all. Some of us have not seen eye to eye, had differing opinions, but have a great Christmas, and let battle commence in the new year!!

Sleepwalking is an unfortunate thing, but treatable. The Thai bird is a stunner....but the others, ive seen better in Central Mall.

Why would anyone want to visit the Philippines?
in Philippines General Chat
Posted
I was there for a month 5 years ago, and i found the Philippines (apart from Manila) to be very welcoming. I did travel there with my gf at the time, who i met in Dubai.
I travelled all over Luzon, to Manila, Angeles city, Clark, Tugeugaro city, Baguio city, Cavite. I wasn't threatened once, although i must admit Manila could be a bit scary at night, but i never had any problems, maybe i was just lucky, i guess..
The food wasn't very nice, but got by. I think i would go back there, given the opportunity. But i think there are better places to travel to, and see, so maybe i will never get back there.
