Army people, the ones who go fighting , need to be real Men

Transgenders should join hospital segment of the army

The battle field if a place for Men with nuts , not a place for people with nuts either added or taken away

I believe the point is that people are ascribed roles in the military according to their skills/aptitude and preferences. Given the thousands of roles available, there should be a place available to everyone possessing the necessary qualifications ( after a competitive selection process); exclusion on the basis of sexual preference or gender indentication is just plain wrong...regardless of how you try to justify it.

I would like you to answer the question which was asked to you previously. : as you stated you don't want tax payer money to be for transgenders, do you agree to spend tax money on Golf weekends by Trump?

On a side note it is hilarious to see someone like you who sounds more and more homophobic and anti-lgbt using the name Uncle Fester and such picture, as the actor was openly gay!

Uncle Fester was gay? Jackie Coogan? Married to Betty Grable, making him the envy of every serviceman in WW2. Or Uncle Fester MK2 or 3?

    Slightly OT, apologies.

  3. This man doesn't know when to leave well-enough alone. Yingluck is finished as a political leader but the cretins advising Prayuth seem to want to turn her into a martyr and are doing a pretty good job of doing so. The ham-fisted buffoonery gets worse by the day and it's not lost on those who have supported ( and will continue to support) the various iterations of Thaksin-led parties.

  4. The deal makes sense for both countries; for Australia ,it is consistent with the bi-partisan support for not rewarding those who queue jump and arrive illegally; for the US, it is similar.

Australia has a large refugee program and it has been successful: it took the largest % of Vietnamese refugees per capita and in 45 years they have integrated very well ( some early issues to do with drugs were to be expected given the massive disruption/trauma faced by those who traveled by boat; an ongoing issue with highrates of gambling addiction). A few pet dogs got eaten. But really a great success.

The service-life for a large airliner I believe is 25 years.

    17 & 19 year old B747's aren't particularly old as airliners go.

At least Boeing stopped calling the 747-300 : 747 SUD ( stretched upper deck) after it was pointed out to them that SUD in medical terminology/annotation stands for sudden unexplained death. Maybe apocryphal. In any case it was soon replaced by the 747-400 and extended upper deck became the term.

Well it didn't take long to read and I don't necessarily disagree.

But attaching a two year old VDO tends to reduce the value of your message. Air France have summer strikes nearly every year. No news there.

I don't want to draw this out but the video was offered, in context and in reply to a post, as suggesting that there will be more in the future ( "look forward to"). It is clear from the context that this has nothing to do with Macron ( present) but will happen again ( future) if he implements labour reform. Ok?

Meanwhile in "Turd-aya"...sheets of iron and steel rods hurtle down into the street from a demolition project......black water and sewerage continue to pour out into the sea....LB's continue to snatch and grab jewellery from tourists...taxis continue without meters......scams/extortion happens on a daily basis........but most importantly and of top national priority to the RTP,  a few woman have been busted for having a friendly happy congenial game of cards in their friends home.

No, the police got this one right. Everyone should feel safer that the old dragons got pinched. By the look of them they'd cut your throat to steal your wallet in order to fund the "dummy" addiction.

I hope immigration have been warned lest they make a run for the border, and Interpol as well in the event they manage to cross it.

I am lucky, never smoked (besides weed) so i never got addicted, have a brother that quit smoking .. mom tried it many times.. but just can't quit.

Get your Mom to try ecigs, I quit regular cigs 6 years ago and took up vaping. 8 hours getting used to it, haven't had, and zero desire to have, a cigarette from that day.

Yes the nicotine is the big hit, but I think there are other factors, because although they are quite satisfying, nothing quite beats a cigarette.

The problem is more in the manner in which they are used, it is in fact a never ending cigarette, whereas a cigarette comes to an end and gets stubbed out.

That's true but in my experience, as a nicotine addict, it doesn't have to be one continuous "hit". For example, I go out for hours and hours without taking the vape gear with me, without missing/needing it, but when I smoked regular gaspers ! I would not have dreamed of going anywhere without a full pack and lighter ( a sad reflection on the power of nicotine).

A 54% popularity rating is still pretty good,  but wait until he starts trying to introduce his proposed new labour laws facilitating the hiring and firing of employees.  Violent demonstrations in the street plus worker strikes never look good and will certainly not help his popularity. The approximately 50% of French electorate who did not even bother to vote in the last election could have a very decisive effect if motivated to vote next time.   Perhaps his planned tax cuts in 2018 might help him a bit although they will not help those without jobs.

Agree. The corporate bosses will have some excitement in store for themselves.

  11. These are great athletes but the sport, this event in particular, risks losing support from the public unless they make changes to the team system ( or at the very least, better articulate the strategies/rules around the team concept). It reminds me of formula 1 in that regard.

There is a reason why Froome is continually overlooked for high honours in sporting awards, ie because the public has very little understanding of his extraordinary achievements ( the others like Wiggins and Cavendish are better recognised because people 'get' what it is they have done).

Watching paint dry/grass grow is 'sexier' than the tv coverage, another part of the problem ( again like formula 1).

  12. The double speak from Prayuth is astonishing even by his own lofty standards : " you may like or love who you wish but don't cause inconvenience to others".....says the man who gave tacit support to Suthep, the crazed monk , and their assorted thugs, in the massive disruption/inconvenience during the anti-government protests in 2013/14; and to the lunatic yellow fanatics during the airport siege in the years before that.

Today's turkey is tomorrow's feather duster.
