If google is your path to educating yourself then there are some deeper problems to be looked at. In time you may graduate to that apparent font of all knowledge..... Wikipedia and be able to master cutting and pasting 'facts' onto internet fora thus displaying a supremely high IQ.
I fear for the future of mankind, as did George Orwell.
I suggested that YOU google the research for yourself. It's like talking to a fallacy of language guide chatting to you. I like it how you picked one small thing in my argument to discredit me, and ignored the rest.
Well done, sir, your ignorance is intact.

Ball Hooks. You are implying all Thais are thick by birth which is no more than a bunch of bigoted racist rambling. The system is flawed not the kids.
South East Asians routinely score at the bottom of IQ rankings, as do Africans. Different races of people have different ranges of intelligence. If you think that Thai people are inherently as smart as Koreans, Japanese, or Chinese, then you are ill-informed, uninformed, and/or probably of a low IQ yourself.
The educational system plays a part, of course. But if you look at South Korea, everyone is in agreement that the system is terribly flawed, yet South Koreans score near the top in IQ, test scores, and aptitude in math and science.

What a nonsense comment. Total lack of intelligence and common sense is a direct result of environment. Take any new-born out of a poverty stricken area and place in to a decent educational system and see what happens.
You don't know what you are talking about. There are many reports which show that intelligence is mostly a matter of genetics, with environment playing a role, but far less. I suggest you google to educate yourself.

What are the requirements for getting an ED Visa? And how many hours per week must I be in class?
Getting the correct information from language schools is impossible. I want to get an ED Visa, but I want to do it legally, i.e. Not with the language school falsifying my paperwork.
-
What are the visa option? Can you get a 90 day visa? I cant find their embassy webpage on the Internet.

What ever happened to that large bald English guy named Howard who used to be in the tourist police?
-
Observer is correct.
Are you guys ashamed to pay each time you get a drInk? Are you worried about what the staff will think about you? Maybe you think, after having a few beers, that as you leave, all the girls are thinking, "Well, there goes a really nice guy."
You know Soistalker's rule: Not one satang extra.

Can we know the reason you were blacklisted?

I think that immigration doesn't care as much at lands crossngs. You sit in a hot room all day in the end of nowhere and see how you act.

Have you left the store yet?
Just noticed that you were 'browsing'. In a 7 eleven? I need to try that. Seems like I'm missing something.
I was on a visa run. Not much else to do out in Nakronnowhere.
-
I went to 7/11 up north. The workers walked my hot sandwich to the back of the store where I was browsing, and a very cute girl smiled at me for an exceedingly long time after I bought that and milk and said, "Thank you so much."
she made my day.

visa run co. take it up with them, there is a slight to no chance the would do something
about it,in the West especially the US you could have sued, but here..........
Hope you feel better soon.
regards Worgeordie
I reported it here to you guys for the exact reason that I read Thai Visa forum and their news stories: So that I know what is going on in Thailand, how it effects me, and what others experience. This is just what happened to me. It could have happened to any of you.

Unusual behaviour on a border run. Were you in the wrong queue or pushed in? Otherwise it makes no sense
No. I was in the right queue. He was kicking people out of the queue not with his visa run service.

What could I have done?
-Fight back?
-Complain to immigration straight away?
-Complain to his company when I get home?
-TRY to file a police report when I get back?
Each choice is more absurd than the last.

In a another country, this guy would have been punched in the face. I'm a man, and not a timid man. But Thailand is Thailand.
I just feel like such a walking potential victim everywhere that is not allow to defend himself. Thais will always back up other Thais. In civilized countries, this isn't a problem. The person instigating the violence in wrong. Thailand is different.

That is not immigration. That is either a Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate. They are both owned and operated by the MFA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, not immigration. Just saying.
.
Leaving Thailand, you go through immigration. This was immigration.

I'm on a visa run now. Inside the Thai immigration hall in a neighboring country this morning, a worker from a visa run company assaulted me. He was trying to pull people not on his company's visa run out of line. He grabbed at me, and I pulled away. Then he yelled at me and grabbed me harder. I said he had no right to touch me, and he didn't work for immigration. He came up behind me while I was in line, not looking, and pulled me back very hard by my backpack, causing me neck, back pain, and a headache later.
I just took it, and did nothing.
Hours later, I am sore, and I feel bad about being assaulted in a government building. But there is really nothing I could do, or can do, about it. I feel Thais can hurt farang with impunity.

The have been reported as wanting a new report every time you enter the country. But is seems to depend upon what you have for your permit to stay. People with extension of stay were not asked for one in most cases. If entering with a visa or a visa exempt entry that want one every time.
I am coming back into Thailand with a ED visa. Do you think I need to report again?
-

It depends upon the immigration office you report to. Some only want a new report if you change addresses.
The report is due within 24 hours after arrival at your residence not the country.
I am in Jomtien.

I'm going on a visa run. I'll be out of the country about a day. Do I need to go back down to my local immigration office within 24 hours of return and have the "Notification form for house master, owner or possessor of residence wheee alien has stayed" form filled out and put into my passport? I have one there now from this current stay.
Cheers

My ED visa paperwork with be ready tomorrow.. I will, however, not be able to leave the country until the day after my tourist visa expires. I know it is a 500 baht fine. My question is: will this have the potential to somehow mess up my getting the ED visa stamp at a Thai embassy in a neighboring country?
Bringing rice into Thailand for personal use

I have a few kilograms of nice rice that I am thinking of taking with me from my home country to Thailand by plane, putting it in my checked baggage. Does anyone think that that might be prohibited by Thailand?
