  1. Damn. How could they even breathe in that area of water. I don’t care where they dock the boat but they should be smart enough to know when it smells like Sh** tastes like sh** , they are probably floating in it.
  2. I see just as many foreigners running through them as I do Thais. Especially when there are no lights with a countdown. Sad but true.
  3. Meanwhile, the private sector’s towering high-rises, hotels, condos, and bustling shopping malls fell into the second group, each independently required to run their own post-quake checks. I’m sorry, but I certainly wouldn’t trust this at all. Independent, by who and by when? Only 112 have done it so far doesn’t seem like they are really concerned about getting the buildings checked. I hope that they follow up, because we all know too well how things work here. Maybe most are fine, but it only takes one and the story changes.
  4. Crazy. Stupid laws for reducing sentences in half just because you admit it, which I’m sure was the first thing that the lawyer or police told them to do.
  5. Aww. I’m sure he’s just upset he will be transferred and back on desk duty
  6. Nope. Same here. 13,500 last month and almost 21,000 this month. One of the downsides of owning a large home.
  7. I don’t really care for an audience when I’m taking a piss. They should be more concerned about the women trying to get a look in.
  8. Surprised that it held that many people. Lucky for them they were almost all in the water or else it would have been a total bloodbath. All comes down to the same issue with so many accidents happening here. No maintenance or upkeep and cutting corners to save money and make more money.
  9. If they can send an Amber Alert to all cellphones in the US in seconds then I guess Thailand needs to contact someone there or in any country that has this in place already. You can’t tell me that every mobile service can send a text to all of their customers about a bill or a promotion, but can’t figure out how to send an alert???
  10. They need a lot longer than a week to figure out exactly what happened. Doing it this fast just makes them look more ignorant about how things should be investigated. They need to take as much time as necessary to collect the information from all of the evidence from the people involved with the building and outsourcing the work to the materials and construction companies. No way this could be done properly in a week, but TIT. They need someone to blame. We know who it won’t be.
  11. How much are they charging these people?
  12. Well she said it herself. She doesn’t have a filter and that’s exactly what got her into this situation. Everyone has an opinion on everything, but most people know when to keep their opinions and comments to themselves. If she didn’t argue on social media and force her issues on others in very dark ways, especially flouting that she can’t be filtered, she may still have her job. I don’t want to believe that she would treat any patients differently, but she’s kinda made me wonder. I think that was enough for her peers to be wary and not take the chance.
  13. People are rattled after the first quake and will be highly sensitive for a while. Especially since there’s no real warning system to tell them otherwise.
  14. Why do we see so many news articles from Pattaya Mail the day after they posted it, on here?
  15. I’ll bet most people that were buying it knew it was fake, but it was in a bottle and box that they could show off to their friends. Same as the Rolex watches and designer bags.
  16. Ooh. I didn’t even think about when rainy season hits and if we have any really big wind and rain storms people are definitely going to be panicking. Don’t blame them considering the warning system won’t be up a running “correctly “ until July.
  17. I bet they will be out testing their warning system, considering maintenance is not a top concern here. If something did happen, and they didn’t go off, there would be some serious issues for Thailand that they would have a hard time dealing with.
  18. All of my friends, both Thai and Foreign, never got any alert. My Thai friends are more pissed off about the fact that it won’t be up a running correctly until July. So we aren’t the only ones upset about a useless system.
  19. Maybe she was looking out the window to see what was going on and fell over during a sway. Seems odd, but none of it makes sense and nobody knows what was going on in her mind. If that emergency door was locked it’s still hard to understand why she went to the window. Foul play? Maybe. Hopefully the CCTV cameras will show something. Very sad for her and the family. RIP
  20. Something doesn’t add up. Lucky for her the CCTV cameras were not working at the time. I don’t think I saw anything about how he got bruised up or how throwing a plate caused him to go unconscious. I guess the rest she just can’t recall with her fragmented memory. Not saying he didn’t deserve it but there’s a few big holes in the story.
  21. I believe there are many more people unaccounted for than they’re stating. Very sad for the families and anyone that may have survived and just can’t get out. I did see one person come out this afternoon so there is still some hope.
  22. Glad they got the children away from that abuser. Wish she would have reported it sooner, but can’t go back in time. They now need to focus on the children and their issues, and that looks like what they are doing. Good Foundation.
  23. They are just trying to cover their butts for lower numbers arriving, and the numb nuts who don’t believe that this has affected shady business practices need to read more news, instead of creating more news to cover it up. They wouldn’t be bringing it up if it wasn’t an issue.
  24. Don’t buy anything until you know what area you like. No rush. There are thousands up for sale right now off plan or under construction and hundreds that are completed, but you need to know the area first.
