  1. The Satun border about 2hrs from Hat Yai has been okay for me on my Non O multi. I was there last month again. I've never had to pay to do a border hop on the same day BUT they did charge me 1300 baht when I was on Visa exempt to come back the same day. Has anyone been there recently on Visa Exempt is that still the case?
  2. 500,000 baht to stay for 5 years isn't required. People can use a guarantor. The flood gates are open indeed.
  3. What does this part mean? - " or having a guarantor of not less than 500,000 baht according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. " So someone can use family or friends as a gurantor for the financial requirements for the visa?
  4. I was at the Satun Wang Kelian border last week and didn't have to pay a fee to return on the same day. I currently have a Non-O multiple-entry visa, but before that, I had to pay 1300 baht to return the same day, when I was on Visa Exempt status.
  5. The latest 60 days visa-exempt tourist stays are delayed. - Pattaya Mail Like most media, Pattaya Mail jumped the gun by stating that the 30 days on arrival by air, land and sea was doubled to 60 days at the beginning of the month. We apologize for our carelessness. The statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has to be confirmed by various bureaucracies prior to implementation. The Ministry’s September 1 start date for the new DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) and the reduction in medical insurance required by O/A retiree visas and extensions of stay is also unconfirmed. Both subjects could be delayed further if linked to a “reconstruction” of retiree visas as suggested in the original press handout. https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/the-latest-60-days-visa-exempt-tourist-stays-are-delayed-462315

  7. I visited the Wang Prachan border in Satun today. I went through the same procedures as last time but was informed that the requirement has been lifted for this border crossing. It is now only mandatory to go through these procedures when arriving at an airport. Therefore, everything is now back to the way it was before.
  8. For Accommodation, I chose OTHER For the Address in Malaysia, I put N/A For State and City, I chose Perlis and added 02000 for a Perlis Postcode After submitting, you will receive an email that says - Auto-Reply: Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) - Registration Acknowledgement.
  9. I had to do a 90-day border hop for my ME Non-O yesterday. and as usual, I went to the Wang Pracahn border in Satun. To my surprise, you now have to register your details on this website - https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main before you stamp in on the Malaysia side. It's pretty straightforward until they ask for details about where you will stay in Malaysia, similar to the Laos visa. I had no intentions of staying there so just put N/A on the form for hotel details. The form can't be completed unless you add a postal code so I added 02000 for Perlis. After submitting you will receive an email that says - Auto-Reply: Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) - Registration Acknowledgement You then show this to Malaysia Immigration with your passport and then they will process your stamp. All the info you need is here - https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main Just wanted to give anyone going to Malaysia a heads-up about the new rules.
  10. The great awakening has already started in Thailand. There's a clip of Pita speaking English saying it's the end of the New World Order. I guess this is why he isn't PM......yet.
  11. A true legend of the board has been lost. He helped me and others so many times. Deeply saddened and he will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace, dear Joe
  12. If anyone is going to this border try and skip Friday, it's very busy! I was there today before 10am and lots of tourists. I was told by Imm staff this was normal for a Friday. As a bonus the fee for coming back the same day was lowered from 1500 to 1300 baht, which is nice.
  13. Wang Prachan Border Visit Today. I got there in the morning at around 9:30 am, I was the only farang there at the time and it was pretty quiet. I wanted to come back the same day so the imm guy directed me to a second window further down, the imm lady told me it would be 1500 baht so paid that and had to take my passport back to the first window to be stamped out. I was given a bright orange sticker to show whoever that I'd paid. After stamping in and out in Malaysia I was stamped back into Thailand and the whole process took around 20 mins. As I was leaving, it started to get a lot busier so I would suggest to anyone going, get there early in the morning to avoid long queues. Hope this helps
  14. Did your friend go from Tamalang pier, and did he need to stay a night or did he return the same day? If so I may try this, thank you
  15. I called Immigration today about mine pending since the 2nd of November. The lady told me they are aware of it, and it only happens with some applications, she said I can cancel it and try again or go to my local Imm office. I went there today and I told them about it, and I received the email saying my application was approved a few minutes later. The staff gave me an updated form and put it in my passport. All went okay. If you don't get approval after 3-4 days I'd cancel it and try again. I only had 2 days left of the 7 day grace period to report so thought it best to go directly to the office.
  16. Thank you, I just sent you a message so please ignore it ????????
