"As you can see from the regression lines, in the USA there hasn’t been any causality or correlation between the number of positive test cases and actual deaths over time."
False statement using a deceptive image. Here is the same data from the same graph on a scale that allows readers to see the clear relationship between death and cases. It is also easy to see the delay between cases and deaths, as it should be.
This is for the US not Thailand ????♂️

Why are people so worried about the amount of covid cases?
The only numbers that should matter are the survival and death rates.
We are almost at 54,000 cases of covid BUT look at the survival rate it's averaging at 99.6% and the death rate is LESS THAN 0.5 %
What is all the fuss about???

Just some countries that are now open for tourism, and not requiring tourists to quarantine or vaccinate to enter their country.
The Full List can be seen here - https://www.traveloffpath.com/countries-reopening-their-borders-for-tourism-the-complete-list
So my question to you guys is.
Why isn't Thailand on this list?
Thailand has one of the lowest death rates from Covid-19.
Are the countries below going about reopening wrong?
Is Thailand with its great Covid-19 record being a bit too cautious with it's reopening schedule?
When I look at the regularly updated list from the article above it certainly looks that way to me.
Your thoughts are appreciated indeed!
Dominican Republic
Open Without Restrictions
The Dominican Republic reopened to tourists starting on July 1, 2020
No test or quarantines are required, and all nations can visit.
3%-10% of arrivals will be randomly tested at the airport, but it’s an easy, fast and painless breath-based test.

Open Without Restrictions
Costa Rica first reopened its borders for tourism on August 1, 2020, allowing tourists from Canada, United Kingdom and the European Union.

Arrivals can either bring a negative 72-hour PCR with them to circumvent quarantine – OR – they can schedule a PCR test in their hotel/rental, and when the test comes back negative, the tourists can leave quarantine early.
Bahamas
Open – with restrictions
The Bahamas officially reopened for tourism in July, re-closed, and then reopened again in October.
Tourists from all countries are welcome to visit the Bahamas at this time. A negative PCR test is required, taken no longer than 5 days before arrival, as well as another rapid test on-island for any stays longer than 5 days.

I mean 60day extension (familiy) done before 26 Sep. Some people say they got their extension to start from 1 Nov. and some say they did not. Ubon Joe said some time ago to go check at IO and that he is not sure about it. After that not much said about 60day extension (familiy) done before 26 Sep.
Anyone with some info about this?
Thanks
I have a 60 day ext based on family exp on Nov 26th, I went to Satun Immigration and they said my stamp date can't be changed.

There is a new 60 day extension that can be applied for now. No need for your marriage certificate and etc or a embassy letter.
Thanks UbonJoe I will look into that. ????

You have to go to immigration and ask for your extension to be changed to start from the 31st of October and end on the December 30th.
I tried this but Satun Immigration won't change the date, they said it doesn't apply to my 60 day extension based on Thai wife.
If I want to stay longer after the 26th on Nov I need to pay another 1900 baht and they will give me 30 days. ????

I have the stamps in my passport to November 25 and it was my local immigration officer that informed my of the extension to the end of December because of the change in dates for the amnesty with the start dates of all extensions going to the 1 November.
Is that Satun immigration?

slightly cheaper than B10 in my Nissan Navara for over a year and no problems.
I like the saving too ????

Why close Thailand for a virus with a lower death rate than say malaria or even the flu?

Meanwhile Wuhan where it all began, recently celebrated with a huge outdoor music festival 1000s of people crammed together, and a swimming pool or and no masks in sight or social distancing or fcuks given.

If it's that safe then why hasn't the UK taken Thailand off its list of countries that require a 14 day quarantine to enter the UK?
It seems the UK still thinks Thailand is a high risk country if they are insisting on 14 days quarantine if you want to enter UK coming from Thailand. ????

I would help but the Thai government really needs to stop making it difficult for foreigners with families to live here. Make it easier not harder! ????

More people die of road accidents than the total number of COVID deaths in Thailand.
You could say Covid 19 has actually saved more lives than its killed.
Just let that sick in.

Hi Chaps,
My Multiple Non O has expired and I'm now on my extension of stay for marriage / family.
I had a surprise job offer last week which I want to take on. I have 1 week left before I need to go back to laos for another ME Non O Visa
but was wondering, can I go back to Immigration and get another extension of stay but this time for work / more time for documents for a Non B Visa?
Thank you ????

If they do agree to change it to 60 days your wife or child will need to be with you, and they will almost certainly want more paperwork. ID/Tabian Baan (for family member) and maybe a TM.30 (address) report.
On 10/19/2018 at 5:47 PM, JackThompson said:Be aware that different offices make up their own rules, and there is limited oversight to force them to follow the actual rules. It could be a member of staff is misinformed (can hard to show them otherwise, once they've said something - try to make it look like you "said it wrong" to help them save-face, while showing a Thai-language printout of the rule), or a boss may have made-up the rule for "his" office or desk. If the latter - oh well.
At some offices, you can come in visa-exempt or TR-Visa, get a 30-day 'tourist' extension, then get a 60-day 'visit wife/family' extension on top of that. You should (in theory) at least be able to get one 60-day extension - but if they won't do it, you don't have much recourse.
A new Non-O visa in Savannakhet is the solution - avoiding the local office entirely. I hope you can do that soon.
So I went to Imm today with all my documents for a 60 day extension.
The lady I spoke to before saw me first ( just my luck ) checked my form and said I needed to change the amount of days from 60 days to 30, my wife asked why and she just gave her the same answer she gave me.
She said she didn't need the copies of my wife's ID, the marriage or birth certificates... after waiting about 20 mins a superior Imm chief explained to my wife that they did now need the copies of the marriage and birth certificates and that I had to sign a new form which was changed back to 60 days.
Whoopie doo! The superior had corrected the situation or so I thought.
I asked why did they now need the rest of the copies and the superior said I got the 60 days BUT because I did the back to back 30 day visa exempts, I'd already had 30 days of the 60.
So I gave all docs for a 60 day extension in the end but I'm only stamped for 30 days in my passport and a note that says ( 2.24 ) the ext is for family reasons.
Are they're saying the two 30 day exempts we get every year can be deducted from a 60 day ext then?
Why did I have to sign a new form that said 60 days as the amount only to stamp me in for 30 days?
Why not just keep the original form which was changed to 30 days?
I noticed the 30 day exempts rule on the wall which said we're entitled to two a year and entering through international airports will not be affected by this regulation, no word of having a max of 6 via airports ( I took a pic of the notice, if anyone needs to see it )
