I can still remember when flying was only for businessmen and politicians all on expenses flying in half full planes. You could only get a reasonable deal for return flights that included a weekend.

As i write this Singapore to Bangkok flights are 1500 baht including all taxes with Tiger Airways, during the weekly happy hour.

Thailand just becomes a bigger and bigger ripoff of everyone who comes here. The greed that governs this country is gone wild.

Yes that might be funny to you, but an increase of 14% in 3 years where the inflation rate is very low, is just a ripoff. The airports make billions from the shops and restaurants already.

I have never paid more than 1600 baht return to Singapore via KL with AirAsia, even less if you go to Johor Bahru and use the new SkyBus service. I fly several times a year, just a question of booking well before.
